As Quixel and Epic Games promised, you can collect all megascans for free on their new marketplace FAB https://www.fab.com/megascans-free #Free #GameAssets #GameTextures #EpicGames
You can still collect all the assets of Quixel Megascans for free, but it was discovered that they will not appear in your library right away.

The reason: there were too many of them (18800+) to sort out and search, so instead they will make the library to support collections and more tags later on to separate it from all other assets.

Asus overclocked Ryzen 9800X3D to a whopping 6.9GHz at just a little over 100W and reached over 1200 FPS in Counter Strike (the original video is in Chinese, so, no link).

Several times it reached over 1500 FPS, but at more complicated moments fell to a regular (barely playable) 800... 😅

It's a crucial change, since all previous X3D models were locked from overclocking: the extra memory was placed on top of the CPU and it limited the heat transfer. This time they swapped them, by placing CPU on top, so it's as good for overclocking as regular models.

The first batch is sold out almost everywhere (and unlike Intel Ultra, there were a lot of them, but apparently not enough).

Foundry MODO is discontinued: one of the best 3D modeling and texturing apps will not be developed further.

You can check this video to find out about the best features of the 17.0 release. MODO was famous for its procedural approach before Blender eve touched the Geometry Nodes.

Foundry also has a popular VFX software NUKE and texturing app Mari. But MODO seemed like a worthy addition to the family and its fall is concerning.

Just updated my screen shader, drop it a star! The Ultimate Screen Effects shader has:

Amuse AI stared to clearly mark models as commercial and non-commercial, which is a very good move (unfortunately, commercial-ready model Flux 1 is huge and requires 24GB VRAM).

For casual game developers they have a nice depth/normals extractor, that can help with materials making. And yes, it's free and works fast on any hardware.

Overall, it's still a fast and easy to use all-in-one app, sponsored by AMD and accelerated with the new Radeon and Ryzen AI chips.

The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the FBI asked developers to stop using the “memory-unsafe” C and C++ programming languages.

They are used by almost every app you are using, including compilers for other languages and the environments to run them. Unreal, Unity, Godot, Blender, and almost all game engines and graphics editing apps are made with C and C++.

Suggesting this is technically impossible and exceptionally expensive for the whole IT and game industry.

Can you stop using gravity and this whole 9.8m/s²? People and items are falling, some are even dying! What a monster are you?!
