AMD confirmed its Ryzen 9000HX lineup for high-end gaming and workstation laptops. They will be available later this year and the X3D model is announced with its regular counterparts. It's hard to say how big the difference is, since raw frequency, core counts…
They also confirmed all rumors about the most powerful APU lineup: up to 40 units on GPU and up to 120W TDP for it. Leaked benchmarks outperform RTX 3060 desktop.

The flagship 40CU GPU is using system RAM, but can allocate up to 96GB of it. Which may help with VRAM demanding games and tasks, like AI and simulations. Usually, AMD allows you to allocate up to 50% of RAM on compatible devices.

The new FSR 4 will be upscaled with Machine Learning and will not support older cards. The new feature is currently announced for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 only and there are no independent reviews available.

Older cards will have to enjoy the fallback to FSR 3.1. Same as NVIDIA, AMD explains it with hardware requirements — RDNA4 architecture is absolutely different and has AI acceleration modules.

Meanwhile, several Ryzen CPUs are affected by Core Communication Latency all thanks to their BigLittle architecture with several powerful cores and several light ones. Intel faced the same with their 13/14+ generations, Qualcomm faced it like a decade ago on mobile.

Ryzen had similar issues before on their chips with two dies (CCDs). But it was less noticeable, since all cores were identical.

Why do we hit the same issues again and again? How manufacturers discover even worse versions of previous issues?

Wait, how dangerous is it? In certain games and workflows it can noticeably limit the performance or cause stutters. The issue can't be fixed completely on software level, but can be covered up partially by better drivers and microcode.

Meanwhile, a laptop 4070 in its most simple 65W TDP variant, lost to the new flagship integrated graphics from Radeon. It will appear later this year in NUC boxes and premium laptops.

This Radeon 8060 is integrated into the CPU and can utilize up to 96GB of system memory. It's like a console graphics on steroids. But still with reasonable TDP of 45-120W.

It seems like AMD is fixing their initial 9070 prices: before NVIDIA announcement, they hoped to sell 9070 XT for $950, but since it's at best a 5070 Ti competitor, they are lowering it to $750. Meanwhile, the basic 9070 will cost around $650 for cheapest models.

The official announcement is expected very soon. The prices above are from Amazon.

This time AMD made the first official price announcement in China: the 9070 XT is aiming for 4999¥ which is $690 and much lower than the 5070 Ti MSRP of 6199¥.

If the same $165 difference remains for the global pricing and the initial benchmarks will be good enough, 9070 series may become the most successful Radeon in ages.

The release date is March 6, but this should also be confirmed on the global launch event a few hours later.

And a separate review of FSR 4: it's better than DLSS 3 and any XeSS, but can't compete with DLSS 4 new model yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzomNQaPFSk
Retailers report that 9070 XT cards are arriving at stores and that they have QUITE SOME!

Just for comparison — in many cases with RTX 50, NVIDIA was only able to deliver something like this for the whole network in NA. This one is from a single store. Same across NA, Europe, and UK — all major networks reported that they have hundreds and thousands of cards.

Bad news, everyone: according to multiple sources, AMD is not going to keep the original MSRP. Instead, since the original stock is already almost sold out, they are planning to push it from $599 to $700+ in a few days.

It will work in a somewhat sketchy way: cheap cards will exist on paper, but will be all sold out. Ones that will be available will be priced at $700-1000.
