#Unity CEO and president John Riccitiello is leaving the company

"...announced that John Riccitiello will retire as President, Chief Executive Officer, Chairman and a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately." After what happened last month, it seems that board voted to kick him out due to how bad "install fee" was accepted by the audience.

He was replaced by James M. Whitehurst (ex Red Hat and IBM executive, very questionable person) as Interim Chief Executive Officer, so they are still looking for some real replacement and it may lead to some interesting outcome.

Surprisingly, Paradox lost almost $23m on this tactical game that no one purchased. There are only ~140 reviews on Steam in the first week, suggesting that only a couple of thousands bought it.

🤔 What failed them? Let's discuss in the comments!

Microsoft and Activision deal got its final approval from the UK. Merger is now a matter of time. Hard to say if it's a good thing:

Microsoft was behind the worse-rated Bethesda game Starfield, the new failed Forza Motorsport, 500m budget of Halo Infinite, and Redfall. While Activision struggles with Overwatch 2, Warcraft and Starcraft are in very questionable shape, but Diablo and Call of Duty are still their cash cows.

Both companies are making games for way too long and way too much $$, which may be an issue for the modern game industry.
