Famous Apex Legends hacker gained access to computers of high-ranked esports players right when they were playing on a championship and streaming, and enabled cheats on their computers.

He claimed that it's possible due to security issues of Apex servers and the app itself. Technically, the app is gaining fairly high level of access to players' computers and he found a way to install any software remotely to any player's computer when this player is online in Apex.

Some security professionals doubt this specific way of injection and suggested that both players got their computers infected any other way (for example, via sponsorship deals malware).

But the same issue with remote access happened with Dark Souls 3 (and to fix this the whole game went offline for 6 months). Which let us to conclude: hacker's statement is possible.

The location, usually used for the biggest video game expo in Moscow (in Autumn), has been attacked by terrorists this evening. The expo itself takes place in October but thousands of people were in the mall and concert hall areas.

We express our condolences to all those affected and condemn the violence.

Gamers Nexus provided in-depth review on Dragon's Dogma 2 performance: not only what but also why. The game reviews on Steam are at 51% overall due to technical issues and greed β€” even fast travel is a paid DLC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twEERkUyAXE…
Meanwhile, Horizon Forbidden West, recently released on PC, has 93% positive reviews. It peaked at 40K online and keeps growing every day. Seems like another good result for #PlayStation after Helldivers 2 earlier this year.

The Witcher 3 at home: the Russian game Smuta that takes place in 1612, will only be available in the local game launcher and was co-funded by the government is now available as a demo.

Since we are in Europe, we can't play it. But locals report that it kinda works, looks ok, and obviously lags more than Dragon's Dogma 2 (thanks to Unreal Engine 5). Anyway, people expected something worse due to the extremely short development cycle.

But the release date is set to April 4 which guarantees that it will not be fixed at launch.
