Romero Games lost funding, Microsoft used to be their publisher (which wasn't announced before).

Unity is making one step forward and two steps back: making ALL PROJECTS cloud is the dumbest idea ever. #Unity@GameDEV
Unity silently rolled-back the change, local projects are supported again (for now). They haven't explained the initial change, nor the fix. But looks like it was a dirty trick that didn't work out and they gave up.

Have you thought, that Microsoft is leaving Windows 10 to die, forcing cloud services, giving up on gaming, and so on.

With the current approach it will turn into a cloud company and completely refocus to B2B.

Steam Deck outsells XBox in several regions now 😐

I've wasted a bit of time this weekend to test Bazzite and Linux Mint 22. All on Win Max 2020, Intel 1035G7, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM.

Bazzite: a fork of Steam OS, that works everywhere. Fine for games, completely pointless for anything else. Hard to extend, not truly stable.

Mint 22 greeted me with a couple of issues, but the same as before β€” it's rock solid. Despite the very slow hardware, I managed to run some fairly complicated stuff on it. The only limitation is Video Editing (Linux only supports KDEnlive, Shotcut, and DaVinci), but it's still manageable.

If you are willing to try Linux before Windows 10 will be discontinued, Mint is probably the best option.

If you've been fired from Microsoft, just use their AI to control your emotions...

Microsoft has loudly embraced AI, having announced plans in January to invest $80 billion into AI infrastructure prior to this latest wave of job cuts.
