Oh my, Showdown Effect, my favourite multiplayer game, made by Arrowhead, the creators of Helldivers, is now free:
1. It used to be a premium $20 title with nearly no marketing
2. The online dried out quickly, but they kept selling it
3. It died completely, was taken down from Steam and a decade later someone bought it out and re-released
It's free, but you host your own servers, so you need friends to play with. See you on weekends or something like that.

Sifu creators launched their football simulator and the beta is doing extremely well on Steam with over 90K concurrent players! #Sports@GameDEV #Simulators@GameDEV
Do you like sports? The creators of Sifu do: Sloclap just released their Rematch for a wide audience, and it's doing well.
The game has 80% positive reviews on Steam, mostly due to server issues. But I'm still excited that someone challenged serious Football games with a more casual approach.

It's been over a decade since the industry claimed that RTS is a dying genre. Meanwhile, a small team with barely any marketing:

The Fashion of Sci-Fi Futures
Visions of the future are common in science fiction. From "The Fifth Element" to "Doctor Who" to "The Hunger Games," we have imagined the future of fashion time and time again. But what if...it's all weird and messed up and we have to write a video essayβ¦

According to IGN, Build a Rocket Boy launched the 45 days consultation after the failure of MindsEye.
The reason is purely legal: in the UK such a move is required before firing over 100 people. In total, the company has about 300 workers in the UK and 200 more in other locations.
Such a big studio was initially created to make a Roblox/UEFN competitor. The project was called Everywhere, but it's apparently dead on arrival. What's left of it was included into MindsEye.
