Oculus Quest 3 has been officially announced by the #Meta #VR team.

It will be "Twice Faster", but the price is also higher, starting at $499 for a 128GB device, that is expected to be available since Fall of 2023.

There will be official event and rumors stated that there will be AAA games including some GTA that will work directly on the device. Let's see how it goes!

Yes, the hardware is great, but there's still ONE AAA game on any VR system and it's Half-Life Alyx. And there's no native version for Quest (but it's playable via AirLink)

Meta Quest 3s — a cheaper $300 version of Quest 3 with worse lenses and displays. If you remember the blurry peripheral vision in Quest 2, this cheaper one has exactly the same issue.

But for me the biggest doubt is still content: Half-Life Alyx is the best game ever. I've played it in VR and it was an exceptional experience. But there are just no games worth bothering anymore.

Financial Times claims that Meta (Facebook) is planning to fill its social networks with "official" AI bots — fake people will have profile pictures, they will share photos, make posts, and engage with others.

According to their testing, average users no longer able to determine who are bot anyway.

Which means, “dead internet theory” is no longer a theory! And foil-hat people were right again.

According to Google Trends, related searches like “how to delete all photos facebook,” “alternative to facebook,” “how to quit facebook,” “how to delete threads account,” and “how to delete instagram account without logging in” have become breakout searches, with popularity suddenly increasing by over 5,000% compared to previous periods.

The explosive growth underscores a recoil against Meta’s decision to roll back protections against hateful speech and inflammatory political content.

Previously they shocked public with intentions to make AI driven accounts that will interact with real people to boost activity. And blamed users for it — real people no longer want to interact with others on Facebook.

Meta AI allowed users to search for chats of other people who accidentally applied for it. Questions varied from an old man from Iowa looking for a young lady and up to advice on crimes.

All questions were publicly linked to people's profiles.
