Mass Effect (remastered, from Legendary Edition Trilogy) is very impressive in terms of visuals and art choices. The only thing that makes it questionable is the lack of markers + awkward level design.

It's also interesting how similar the landing works to Starfield: loading, cutscene, and limited map with points of interest.

New iPhones can run Resident Evil Village and Death Stranding, but struggle to keep up with Genshin Impact and some other modern mobile games in ultra settings. Keep it in mind before buying!

Currently SoC A17 tries to run too fast, overheat, and then fall into cooling mode with very low frequency. They will fix it in drivers and it only happens in a few games, but there are reports of similar lags in general apps too.

What's good, however: in future, we may see more Raytraced mobile games – all major SoC manufacturers are supporting it now and apple joined the club. The first one was War Thunder Mobile on Android earlier this year.

The flagship iPhone 15 model is also pretty fragile and can't handle even small bending force applied. Surprisingly, all other models in the lineup are pretty durable.

Meta Quest 3 has been shown and you can preorder it now for October ($499 for 128GB + 8GB RAM), but the bad side is that they (yet again) failed to show any valuable games.

Yes, the hardware is great, but there's still ONE AAA game on any VR system and it's Half-Life Alyx. And there's no native version for Quest (but it's playable via AirLink)

Mr. "Block Your Merger" was fired from #Sony: his duty will stop calling next spring. Even PlayStation fans are mostly celebrating due to his hostile statements and business practices in recent years.

A meme game about Slavs fighting evil lizards with NUT SQEEZER got 98% positive reviews and sold exceptionally well on Steam.

Imagine all the folks who made serious games and spent years on development to be surpassed by this "cultural phenomenon".

Tim Sweeney announced that Epic Games is trying to become profitable again and based on that they have to lay off 830 employees (16% of staff).

Previously purchased Bandcamp and SuperAwesome are gonna be separated from the main company.

Recent escape from Unity to "definitely safe Unreal Engine" may look a little less safe now.

And #AMD #Radeon team just released #FSR 3 with frame generation. Only Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum are supported (2 games have 69 players online COMBINED), but you can try it even in a free demo of Forspoken.

1. The quality is only worth it with FSR set to quality (+ Frame Gen), balanced is a mess, and "native AA" is laggy.
2. Then it has ~10% higher FPS than what DLSS has in Balanced (DLSS still looks better), and 30% higher in Balanced.
3. And with FSR frame generation the frame time gets completely inconsistent + overall generated frames are messy. Altogether it led to a LAGGY AF feel. Which makes NVIDIA 80 frames way more responsive, than FSR 110 frames.

At least on NVIDIA, it's unplayable. Maybe Radeon cards are more compatible, but first impressions of Radeon Frame Generation are negative – it's not even close to what NVIDIA has right now.
