β€‹β€‹πŸ”–Protip: Insulin resistance

We sure have ever heard someone say that "insulin resistance is bad" which is true and that also "a low fasting glucose is a possible indicator of your sports performance and health" which is also true, of In fact, I always recommend that my clients send me their fasting glucose measurements.

πŸ‘¨πŸΌβ€πŸ”¬Insulin

❕Is a polypeptide hormone formed by 51 amino acids 🧬, produced and secreted by the beta cells of the islets of Langerhans of the pancreas, its main functions, as we well know, are related to glucose and carbohydrates apart from that if it is used in a proper way it can be a very interesting tool in any bodybuilder's pharmacological arsenal βšͺ️.

❕On average, a healthy adult human has about 90mg / dL of glucose in an 8-hour fasting state; the level of normality ranges from 70 to 110mg / dL, qualifying any measurement between 110 and 125mg / dL as pre-diabetes and from 126mg / dL onwards, as diabetes.

❌Insulin resistance

❕It is understood as such the phenomenon in which when insulin binds to its receptor on the surface of the cell membrane, the intensity with which the intracellular signaling cascades are produced are weaker, therefore, there is not as much displacement of GLUT receptors per unit of insulin, therefore insulin resistance is nothing more than a cellular defense mechanism πŸ›‘ against excessive caloric intake, since by preventing glucose from entering the cell, it increases the oxidation of fatty acids , reducing lipotoxicity due to the accumulation of lipids and thus the cell death ☠️ induced by the excessive accumulation of lipids (lipoapoptosis).

πŸ“„Protocol: mechanisms that improve insulin sensitivity

πŸ§‘πŸΌObese men:

βœ”οΈFucoxanthin: 15mg daily divided into 3 daily intakes.

βœ”οΈBerberine / Metformin: 1000-1500mg daily divided into 2-3 daily intakes, I recommend the use of berberine to avoid unpleasant side effects.

βœ”οΈTaurine: 4-6gr daily divided into 2-3 daily intakes

βœ”οΈChromium: 200mcg daily

πŸ‘©πŸΌWomen with polycystic ovary syndrome:

βœ”οΈFucoxanthin: 15mg daily divided into 3 daily intakes.

βœ”οΈBerberine / Metformin: 1000-1500mg daily divided into 2-3 daily intakes, I recommend the use of berberine to avoid unpleasant side effects.

βœ”οΈTaurine: 4-6gr daily divided into 2-3 daily intakes

βœ”οΈChromium: 200mcg daily

Given that women tend to suffer from polycystic ovary syndrome and that one of the effects they have at the systemic level is that of insulin resistance apart from problems with cortisol, specific studies have been carried out on this and it has also been seen that the following supplementation will be effective:

βœ”οΈInositol: 4gr daily in a single dose.

βš–οΈMen and women with normal weight and insulin resistant:

βœ”οΈBerberine: 900-1500mg daily divided into 2-3 daily intakes.

βœ”οΈChlorogenic acid: 600-900mg daily divided into 3 daily intakes.

βœ”οΈTaurine: 4-6gr daily divided into 2-3 daily intakes.

βœ”οΈBlueberries: 200g total or 50g of blueberry extract.

β€‹β€‹πŸ”–Pro tip: using insulin with high volume training.

Insulin has many uses, today I'm just going to talk about how to get the most out of it during a high-volume workout.

πŸ‘¨πŸΌβ€πŸ”¬Who can make the most out of it

❕Athletes with a very high training volume 🦾.

❕Athletes who train twice a day πŸ”.

πŸ“Protocol

❕Inject one unit of insulin for every 10-5 grams of carbohydrates 🍚consumed, 30 minutes before training.

❕After training inject one unit of insulin for every 10-5 grams of carbohydrates consumed πŸ‘ŒπŸ».

❗️Taking advantage of the hyperemia 🩸 caused by training, we should consume at least one IU of insulin for every 10 KG (22 lbs) of body weight, I also recommend taking a high amount of protein πŸ₯› without any fat (isolate or hydrolyzed).

πŸ’‘Tips

❕Do not consume fats while the effect of insulin lasts ⏳.

❕Use ultra-fast ⚑️acting insulin.

❕Use fast and slow absorption carbohydrates ⏱.

πŸ’‰ Semaglutide (Ozempic) – The holy grail of fat loss?

Clinical studies involving semaglutide showed that patients on it were also losing weight, somewhere in the neighborhood of 11lbs over the course of three months. While that may not seem like much, this loss in body weight came with no dietary modifications, so take a moment and just imagine how powerful this drug can be if paired with a moderately aggressive caloric deficit.

As a matter of fact, users have reported losing 15 up to 20% of total bodyweight in that same timeframe when taken in conjunction with proper dieting and training. That’s huge! If we take a 200lbs individual, we’re talking about some 30lbs of weight (mostly fat, if the other variables are optimal) lost in three months.

πŸ”Ž An Incredible Fat-Loss and Anti-Aging Tool - Metformin (Glucophage) 101

Metformin is a very popular medication used to treat type 2 diabetes and polycystic ovary syndrome. Now, before you think this is definitely not for you, keep reading because this has a ton of applications in a bodybuilding and anti-aging context!

Metformin lowers blood glucose levels. This means that it can improve
insulin sensitivity and aid in losing fat while also improving muscle building and nutrient partitioning.

Besides that it can also lower cholesterol and improve erectile function, two things that any bodybuilder on SARMs or AAS will appreciate. Finally, it has also been shown to contribute to longevity as well as fight certain kinds of cancer.

All in all, a great drug with tons of health benefits that can help just about anyone, including athletes.

But what about the side-effects? Well, the reality is that when used responsibly it is extremely safe. Hypoglycemia is a risk if combined with other blood glucose-lowering medications, but it can be solved by ingesting carbs.

There is also data showing that it may inhibit mTOR, which is linked to muscle growth. However, in the real world Metformin does not appear to limit muscle growth in any significant way. Quite the opposite, in fact.

The normal Metformin dose when bulking up is 1000mg/day, taken twice a day (morning and night). If you are cutting, opt for 250mg twice a day for a total of 500mg/day instead. Always try to take it before eating carbs.

🩸Why every bodybuilder must own a glucometer

A glucometer is a small medical device that measures the concentration of glucose in your blood.

Chances are you’ve seen someone in your family use it, because it’s a must-have for diabetics (and let’s face it, we all have a diabetic person in our extended family).

πŸ’‰ Semaglutide (Ozempic) 101

Semaglutide is perhaps the most popular and widely used GLP-1 Agonist on the market, but before I explain what it does, allow me to explain GLP-1 Agonists as a whole…

GLP-1 Agonists (also known as Incretin Mimetics) are a class of meds that mimic the actions of GLP-1 (Glucagon-Like Peptide 1), a naturally occurring peptide that can decrease blood sugar levels by increasing
insulin secretion.

πŸ₯¦ Glycemic Index and Glycemic Load

When it comes to bodybuilding and nutrition, understanding both the glycemic index (GI) and glycemic load (GL) of various foods can provide some useful insights. While the glycemic index is a relative ranking of how different carbohydrates affect blood sugar, the glycemic load takes into account both the quality and quantity of carbohydrates consumed.

Some critics of the GI system note flaws that can make it an unreliable measurement. GI looks solely at the carb count. Basing a diet around GI only means you would be ignoring other helpful information to determine the true health value of a food.

🍰 Hardcore Appetite Suppressants

When it comes to losing fat, one of the most powerful tools one can use is an appetite suppressant, especially if one is always struggling not to eat during a cut.

There are dozens of appetite suppressants that one can get over the counter in any pharmacy or even through amazon. Supplements containing saffron extract, apple cider vinegar, garcinia cambogia, among other ingredients, are very common, legal and somewhat effective for most people. Even caffeine is an appetite suppressant and mild fat-burner.

πŸ’‰ PEG-MGF: The ultimate anabolic peptide

MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) is a peptide hormone that is closely related to IGF-1 (Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1). MGF is naturally occurring in the human body, where it plays an important role in the development of children and teenagers. However, it continues to be important in adults because it promotes the proliferation of muscle stem cells to grow and repair muscle tissue in response to physical exertion.

MGF can be administered exogenously to improve muscular development, so it can be considered a PED. It is not very popular because it has typically been hard to find, but with more companies starting to offer it and more content about it being created, I have no doubt that it will become a staple of bodybuilding chemistry in the next few years because it builds muscle through a unique pathway that most bodybuilders seem to neglect.

πŸ’Š Metformin: a bodybuilding tool?

Metformin is a popular medication that is commonly prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes and polycistic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). It is derived from galegine, a compound found in a plant known as Galega Officinalis.

This drug works by inhibiting glucose production in the liver and inhibiting the actions of glucagon, a hormone that causes an increase in blood glucose levels.

These properties make Metformin a useful tool for bodybuilders, who can use it to improve their health, lose weight and even extend their lifespan while mitigating the side-effects of many PEDs.
