β Folks, I have a mobile publisher who is interested in a wide range of hybrid casual and casual games. Preferably Unity.
They can help with user acquisition, creatives and playables production, Amazon publishing, and more. Usually with a revenue share model, but deals are flexible and personal.
You can fill the form on a website π and share the post with friends if they are looking for a partner to scale their mobile games!

Fast Custom Lighting - Custom Lighting Models - Episode 14
In this video, I show how to create a custom lighting model that renders as fast as possible. This might work well for low power mobile phones or XR headsets that have weak GPUs or require high frame rates.

Expedition 33 is doing great on Steam β the first game of the studio, founded by ex-Ubisoft staff, reached almost 52 000 concurrent players on Steam and very positive reviews.
People praise the story and characters, but also mentioned a well-balanced combat system, combining turn-based and QTE features.

Meanwhile, Clair Obscur developers announced that they sold over 500K copies in less than 24 hours. Which is a good result for a small team!

Oddly enough, La Quimera, the game from Reburn (ex 4A Games staff) is delayed the same day it was supposed to be released. The initial reviews (and there are not many of them) called it a relic, like a bad game from 2008.
It brings nothing new to the table, nothing exciting in the gameplay, narrative, or visuals. And the overall quality is just bad β visual bugs, stiff controls, and so on. They messed up even with the most basic things β to open a menu the player has to use P-key on the keyboard and ESC does nothing.
And it loads up Ryzen 9 7950X3D to 100% all the time, all cores, regardless of the actual scene. And the performance is still not quite there β frame pacing can go nuts or the whole game gets locked at 30 FPS after 10 minutes of gameplay.

This explains my guesses: a team of nice people and a dog! And 33 people made the highest rated game of 2025.
