A trillion-dollar company needs to use AI to save money. If you look closely, the zombie character in the picture has six fingers. Call of Duty enthusiasts have long speculated that the developers of Black Ops 6 might be utilizing AI to design their map layouts. This theory gained further traction with the recent update with this new loading screen, which seemingly confirms that AI is indeed being employed in certain aspects of the game.

It's fine to have 100+ hours games but not fine if EVERY GAME tries to be a 100 hour game.

After leaving PUBG, its creator moved to a planet-scale survival games (and the demo is free on Steam).

For now, it looks bland and even as a tech demo it lacks anything memorable β€” just rocks and trees around.

The second project is Prologue: Go Wayback! and it looks way better, but isn't available yet.

πŸ€” Are you into it?

Godot 4 Bistro vs. Bistro with Color Correction, Panini Projection, Chromatic Aberrations, and stuff (Shader).

The default Look is way too saturated and warm (even for sunset), up to the point where certain areas were crushed and details were lost. Be wise: colors are contextual!

Digital Foundry checked Indiana Jones game and whoa: imagine an RTX game that works without flickering and blurry image?

The engine uses a combination of technologies to only trace light where needed, so even Series S is running the game at 1080p or higher at stable 60 FPS. Dark regions of the image and interior scenes are very stable, even if they are mixed with brightly lit parts of the frame.

All thanks to a modded ID Tech engine (an improved version from DOOM Eternal) β€” Machine Games called their fork "Motor Engine" which will make it nearly impossible to Google.

But despite the dumb name, the exceptional quality and performance is exactly why in-house engines are superior to Unreal Engine 5, which would drop the resolution to 576p and call it a day.

Blizzard's ex-president has tried to slightly alter the universe and make it look like Marvel's Black Widow is a ripoff from Overwatch character. But Twitter has community notes!

πŸ”₯ Meanwhile, Marvel Rivals is a huge hit and peaked at 444 300 players on Steam! I assume, Concord devs are losing their minds right now β€” what could be done with appealing characters and without banning 180+ countries to force PSN.

The Thing Remastered looks amazing!

Jokes aside: the remaster has 97% positive reviews on Steam. It feels a little outdated in design philosophy, but is still a great experience and feels terrifying.

I played the original game about 20 years ago or something like that. Still have shivers!

I've tried the new game from the creator of PUBG:

Imagine a bland open world, where trees and rocks are not physical, so you walk through them, there's only a flashlight and waypoints setter. And the only "unique" feature is the fact that the map is big as a planet (maybe like a Spore planet, not Earth).

It looks bad and works at 40-60 FPS on 3060 Ti (1440p) with significant frame pacing issues. I'm confused about the purpose of such a demo.
