For me, Starfield experience ended up with a refund request. The more you go, the more broken it feels.
The first couple of moons are nice, space is awkward, and cities are horribly bad.
A few years ago one small indie team managed to make High on Life with amazing cities you can travel between for a fraction of the cost. Memorable characters, exciting moments, and true science fiction moments were everywhere.
Same with The Outer Worlds β it was memorable, has Futurama vibes, and has a valuable, sarcastic, and tragic plot. Even beasts are something that you will remember for years and the arsenal was great.
Bethesda failed on that β no science fiction, no space sim, no role-playing, but rather poorly stitched sandbox features.

For those who want to enjoy good space science fiction, I recommend trying The Outer Worlds instead of Starfield:
It has characters that make sense, plot you really care about, and the world with level design in mind... and fully detailed maps of locations.
If you prefer more action than taking, just try High on Life, from the creator of Rick and Morty. It's amazing.
Don't waste your time on Starfield, it's a prototype that will take years to fix (if they will agree to fix it).

MrBeast discovered with the new A/B testing feature that his mouth must be shut to get way better CTR results. I assume this will also affect the screaming faces icons of mobile games, right?

Let me make it clear: the game has no proper Screen-Space Reflections, it's like tech that is being used for 20 years, but Bethesda is using GEOMETRY-ADJUSTED CUBEMAPS, this is a damn relic that can be found only on mobile graphics. It's not NEXT-GEN, it's not even past-past-gen.
This makes water and any reflective surface look horrible outside of baked interiors. Not raytracing, not even pre-raytracing, it's a tech that runs on your gramma's mobile phone.
But in Creation Engine 2 in makes 4090 and 7900 XTX look like a joke.

The creator of VKD3D (the DX12 -> Vulkan translation layer) discovered some heavy issues in Starfield code. The first one explains what happens on Intel ARC graphics (cause the Intel driver team never knew someone would be that dumb)
Fixing them can be relatively fast and they drastically affect performance. But since Bethesda belives they don't have issues, it's hard to say if or when they gonna do something about it.

There are new prices for #Unity that are based on installs besides the income.
The good side is that both criteria have to be met to be charged for installs, which means that free games and casual indie games are not affected.
Medium-size studios are gonna be the most suffering audience and they are also the biggest part of the current Unity paying customers. Will see if this will work out and they will pay. I bet it will make them look at alternatives instead.

This is reasonable warning for any modern game, and kinda sounds like "do not run it on a laptop, please"
