This is the way!

Fact: When the Max Payne movie was shot, Mark Wahlberg HIRED A PERSON to complete the first game and tell him about it. It's like "hire people so they bang each other and tell you about how it was, and then you go film adult movies".

This is why Ella is better πŸ˜‰

It was shown as a leaked GTA VI map. Looks believable, since there were several moments in the trailer, filmed from the sky.

At first glance it looks like Minecraft with shaders (but it's a real place in India)

A typical solo developer story: she promised to make a VR compatible game where players can explore the downtown of the big city and enter every single building.

People called her insane and suggested it's a fraud (which it still can be), but over two years later, she's still making it (and you can wishlist it on Steam):

Just implemented Panini Projection for my Screen Effects pack for Godot 4. The update isn't yet on GitHub, but will be in a day or two!

It is used with wide angle cameras to compensate the distance to the center of the image by making it closer.

My implementation can't overscan the image, so with too high values it will lose details noticeably. But with proper setup it allows to use fairly wide angles with acceptable sharpness. It will help to avoid motion sickness in first person games.

Legally free Matcaps (can be used in Blender and as cheap reflective material in game engines).
