New Terrain3D tutorial:

It's a plugin for Godot 4 to build realistic terrain, populate it with vegetation, etc.

Their current version supports up to 65x65KM maps at full resolution (30 times more than The Witcher 3 or GTA V, 50 times more, than Skyrim).

The addon is created by Tokisan Games, who are building their open world RPG with Godot. Since the engine doesn't have native tools for environment, they are building them from scratch and sharing some of the results with the world.

Oh, CNET is bullying Apple for believing their customers are "foolish people faking into their lives". Apple believed in that for decades, it just became oddly noticeable even for the most passionate fans. PlayStation when?

The narrator also mentions Steve Jobs words, that Apple was supposed to be for ones who think different and move humanity forward. It's now for folks, who don't think at all.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is a complete mess: the game was launched in an extremely buggy state and has become one of the worst rated projects on Steam (it's the second worst game right now).

Who would've guessed: first reviews starting to roll out and they are negative — everyone is saying that the game is broken and unfinished.

Unlike Starfield, which can't be fixed, STALKER 2 is a great game you'd want to complete when it's done: the premise is simple, the atmosphere is great, and gunplay feels memorable. For now, it just not ready at all.

The performance is horrible even on 4090 with 14900K. The interior lighting is broken, the reflections are inconsistent, and LOD popping is just five meters away from the camera. The are quest bugs, animation bugs, and so are sounds, AI and stealth — they are all broken and it is getting worse with every hour of gameplay.

A solid start on Steam for STALKER 2! The game is confirmed as buggy, the Frame Generation feature is broken, but overall people are kinda getting what they expected — an atmospheric adventure in a questionable condition.
