World Bank Group is looking for translator from English to Arabic language.
Duties and Accountabilities:
— produce self-revised translations, primarily from English to Arabic, and Arabic to English of a wide range of World Bank documents
— prepare translations, often of a sensitive or confidential nature, and frequently on short notice.
— research each source document thoroughly, fully using translation aid tools and systems available to ensure that the appropriate specialized terminology is employed.
Selection Criteria:
— Minimum: Master’s degree with at least five years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred: Master’s degree or post-graduate degree in translation, economics, finance, law or social sciences, with at least five years of translation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
— Arabic as primary language (i.e., native-level ability) or mother tongue.
— Excellent comprehension of English; comprehension of French as a source language would be desirable.
