study tips:
1. set clear goals
-there’s always an end goal in what you do
-it helps you to be clear and make a path towards that end goal

2. don’t try to do 2 things at once, avoid background noises
-doing 2 things at once can make you get distracted and unfocused at the task you’re doing
- space everything out so that you can cover certain things one at a time
- background noises can distract you so work in a quiet environment like the library or if not, at home

3. use active study methods
- rewriting notes, highlighting are passive
-study methods like redoing your questions can help with memorising and practice exam like questions that are most likely to come out
- use study apps like YPT to help with your focus time and your studying time

4. try harder questions. don’t do easier questions all the time, identify your weaknesses.
- remember that the harder questions you do, the more you are experienced to it and that during exams, it is easier for you to do the harder questions
-doing easier questions makes you think in the box rather than outside the box where the harder questions are at
- identify your weaknesses so that you have work on it. you can practice those questions you are weak at and slowly and progressively become stronger

5. make space for just studying.
-don’t study at your bed. it makes you too comfortable and there’s a chance you might not focus well.
- make a desk for studying so your brain can immediately associate studying with certain locations and this will help you motivate yourself
-make it comfortable (but not too comfortable like your bed)

6. get help. work on your difficulties and search for resources yourself.
- don’t rely on the internet, use a legit human being for help.
- don’t hesitate to ask anything or ask for advice. it benefits you

btw,, if you find yourself getting distracted by your music a lot when studying, try out other genres of music like maybe jazz, classical or just generally lyric-less music which can help you focus. personally, mine is classical and i always listen to like beethoven and mozart (BYE I USED TO PLAY PIANO) and they helped me focus cus if i always listen to kpop or pop, i will literally start dancing. take note ya!! it’s honestly worth a try :)

before you go for prelims (for those who haven’t done it yet), check your calculators and see if they’re approved or not. it’s important that you check because my friends senior got her calculator taken away because her calculator wasn’t on the list
