😀Всем пламенный привет!

🔻Russian adverbs 'туда' and 'оттуда' are used to indicate direction in Russian.

1⃣ Туда
     [tu-da] - there
      To there, towards that place

• Пойдём туда.

  [pay-dyom tu-da]
  Let's go there.

🔻'Туда' is used with verbs of motion, such as идти (to go, come).

2⃣ Оттуда
     [at-tu-da]
     From there, from that place,
away from there

• Я приехал оттуда.
   [ya pri-ye-khal at-tu-da]
   I came from there.

🔻'Оттуда' is used with verbs of motion, such as приезжать (to arrive).

😀 In Russian colloquial speech, there's a sarcastic phrase:

• Я бы вас (тебя) послал, да вижу вы (ты) оттуда.
[ya by vas (ti-bya) pas-lal da vi-zhy vy (tu) at-tu-da]
🇬🇧 I'd send you (to hell), but I see you've just come from there.

⚠️Mind that it is pretty offensive!

👋Доброе утро, товарищи!

Язык (языки) (masc.noun)
  [ye-zyk]

1) A tongue
2) A language
3) A clapper
4) А prisoner/informer (to be interrogated)
5) ...etc

• Языковой (masc.adj.)
  [ye-zy-ka-voy]
  Linguistic

But:
• Языческий (masc.adj.)
   [ye-zy-ches-kiy]
   Pagan

🔻There's a Russian saying:

• Язык до Киева доведёт.
  [ye-zyk da Ki-ye-va da-ve-dyot]
SLT: A tongue can take you to Kiev.
🇬🇧 If you ask, you will get.

Meaning: The power of language can lead you to a distant place. (In Rus' the city Kiev was considered to be a distant one). Though a military meaning can also be referred to this saying nowadays.🤔

👋Здравствуйте, товарищи!

1⃣ Здесь (formal)
      [zdes']
      Here

🔻"Здесь" is the most formal and neutral option:

• Я живу здесь.
   [ya zhyvy zdes']
   I live here.

2⃣  Тут (informal)
       [tut]
       Here

🔻"Тут" is more informal and casual:

Посмотри на меня, хозяин, я тут!
  [pas-mat-ri na mi-nya kha-zya-in ya tut]
Look at me, master, I'm here!

3⃣ Там
       [tam]
      There

🔻"Там" refers to a place that is further away from the speaker.

💢 You can come across a humorous Russian phrase:

Здесь вам не тут!
  [zdes' vam ni tut]
SLT: Here isn't not there for you!

🔻It was uttered by former Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin. With this phrase he warned a journalist against impolite behaviour. The phrase had no sense and thus became popular.

🤗 Приветствую!

Повторять 🆚️ Имитировать

1⃣Повторять (за...) (+instrumental) (imperf.)
     [paf-ta-ryat']

Meaning:
1) To repeat (after somebody), also:
Повторять как попугай
  [paf-ta-ryat' kak pa-pu-gay]
  To repeat (something) like a
  parrot (thoughlessly, again and
again)

2) To revise (for a test):
Повторять неправильные глаголы к тесту
  [paf-ta-rit' ni-pra-vil'ny-ye gla-go-ly tes-tu]
To revise irregular verbs for a
  test

2⃣Имитировать (imperf.)
     [i-mi-ti-ra-vat']
    To imitate, to copy

Собакен повторяет за кошкой или имитирует её?
(Is the dog repeating after the cat or copying it?)

📎 'Собакен' [sa-ba-ken] is a slang word (common gender) for 'собака' [sa-ba-ka] (dog) (femin.noun).

🎧🗣👇 Повторяйте за мной! Check the conjugations and make up your own sentences😉.

favour)

3⃣ Выпрашивать (imperf.)

persistently

Example (see the video):

[ya ni vy-pra-shy-va-yu mya-sa i ni pra-shy ku-pit' mnye ry-bu, ya prozsta spra-shy-va-yu pa-chi-mu vy ta-ki-ye zhad-ny-ye]
🇬🇧 I'm not begging for meat and I'm not asking for fish, I'm just asking why are you so greedy?!

👋Доброе утро, товарищи!

Романтический 🆚️ Романтичный

Романтический (masc.adj)
  [ra-man-ti-chis-kiy]

Романтичный (masc.adj)
  [ra-man-tich-nyj]

🔻Both adjectives can be translated as 'romantic'.

🔻Philologists note that these words are synonymous and interchangeable.

BUT:
🔻'Романтический' relates to romanticism as a movement in literature and art and as an artistic method:
Романтическая поэма
  [ra-man-ti-ches-ka-ya pa-e-ma]
Romantic poem

🔻'Романтичный' contains elements of romanticism, mystery, dreaminess:
Романтичныe отношения
  [ra-man-tich-ny-ye at-na-she-ni-ya]
  Romantic relationships

📎 So, if you want to describe something as loving or passionate, use 'романтичный'! If you want to talk about the Romantic era, use 'романтический'.

🌝Всем отличного дня, товарищи!

Кушать 🆚️ Есть

Кушать
  [ku-shat']
=
Есть
  [yest']
To eat

1⃣However, 'кушать' is considered to be more colloquial (it sounds more gentle) and often refers to little kids, elderly or close people.

2⃣Whereas 'есть' can be used in any situation and sounds neutral or more official.

3⃣⚠️There is also a low colloquial variant of 'ecть':

Жрать
  [zhrat']

🔻There is also a funny phrase taken from a Soviet crime comedy 'Джентельмены удачи' (Gentlemen of Fortune) (1971) filmed at Mosfilm and directed by Aleksandr Sery:

Кушать подано! Садитесь жрать, пожалуйста! (Сlick to watch an episode)
[ku-shat' po-da-na, sa-di-tis' zhrat', pa-zha-lu-sta]
🇬🇧 The dinner is served! Sit down to chow/devour/eat, please!
