The border territories of northeastern Ukraine:
▪️ Russian Forces´ artillery has been working off targets in #Senkovka and #Bleshnya in #Chernigov region, as well as in the villages of Seredina Budy, Gavrilova Sloboda and #Khleborob in #Sumy region.
#Kharkov Direction:
▪️ This morning, Ukrainian militants shelled a convoy of five refugees in the #Kharkov region on their way from #Kupyansk to Russian-controlled territory. According to some reports, about 30 people were killed, including children.
#Lyman Direction:
▪️ Ukrainian Forces continue to develop operational success in the defence area of the troops of the Western Military District of the Russian Armed Forces and the People's Militia of the Luhansk People's Republic.
▪️ By midnight, the AFU had managed to effectively encircle #Lyman. From the north, #Stavka is occupied, there is fighting in #Zarechnoye, and the Lyman - Torskoye route is under constant enemy fire. From the south there is an assault on #Yampol.
If the Russian command does not take decisive action within 24 hours, #Lyman will meet the fate of #Balakleya. The defenders of the city, represented by the BARS reservist units, the LPR People's Militia and the 20th Combined Army of the RF, will be completely cut off from the main group. If they are destroyed in the town, the entire defensive potential of the Allied Forces in this section of the front will be wiped out.
The capture of #Lyman will open the door for the AFU to #Svatovo and then to #Kremennaya and #Rubezhnoye. Which line the new front will follow is not yet clear.
#Bakhmut (Artemovsk) Direction:
▪️ Wagner PMC assault units are fighting fiercely on the outskirts of #Bakhmut and #Soledar as well as in the villages of #Zaitsevo and #Otradovka on the southern flank of this section of the front.
#Lugansk Region:
▪️ During the day, Ukrainian forces shelled the village of Zolote-5 with HIMARS and destroyed the local House of Culture. In addition, Kremennaya, #Svatovo and #Vrubovka were hit.
#Donetsk Direction:
▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled again #Donetsk, #Yasinovataya, #Gorlovka, #Makeevka and other settlements in Donetsk agglomeration.
#Zaporozhye Direction:
▪️ Russian Forces launched at least 8 missile strikes against Ukrainian army targets in #Zaporozhye during the night.
▪️ Ukrainian formations continue heavy shelling of #Zaporozhye and #Energodar. Critical infrastructure of the nuclear power plant is hit. Units of Russian forces shell AFU positions on the north bank of the Dnipro in #Nikopol and #Marganets.
#Dnipropetrovsk Region:
▪️ Russian forces have shelled facilities in #Dnipropetrovsk on a massive scale. A depot and a bus station were hit. Wagons and buses were used to transport ammunition, weapons and supplies.
▪️ In addition, Russian forces shelled targets in #KrivoyRog and #Sinelnikovo, where one of the largest railway lines in eastern Ukraine is located.

Last night the enemy launched an offensive north and south of the town, and managed to take the strategically important #Stavka settlement, after which we can talk about an operational encirclement of Krasny #Lyman, as the only road through which our grouping in the town can be supplied is already under enemy fire, which in addition went to storm #Yampol and #Zarechnoye.
In fact, the loss of any of them would turn the half-cauldron around #Lyman into a cauldron. And hence, either our troops will put reserves into action here today, or they will have to surrender #Lyman and retreat to a new line of defence along the border of the still Luhansk People's Republic (soon to be the new Russian border).
At the same time, attempts to strike northwards, at #Borova, via #Podlyman and #Cherneshchina were successfully repelled by our troops yesterday.
PS: It is likely that we will have to abandon #Lyman. And already today!

The "cauldron" around #Lyman is almost completely closed. The link across the road to Torskoye is under enemy fire control. The day before, the 503rd Motorised Rifle Regiment of the 19th Motorised Rifle Division of the 58th Combined Army was deployed to this area. Professional soldiers, who entered the battlefield side by side with mobilised soldiers, attempted to widen the "knot" that had closed around Liman.
After the fall of #Stavok, they managed to hold off the enemy on the outskirts of the settlement. North of #Lyman, the front line runs along the line between the southern outskirts of #Stavok and the northern outskirts of #Zarechnoye.
North of #Zarechnoye, the Ukrainian SRGs quietly cross the other side of the #Zherebets river and operate near the route to #Svatovo.
In the south, the situation is worse: from #Yampol, the RF forces have retreated to #Lyman and the settlement is in a grey zone. The situation is similar in #Drobyshevo: the AFU has managed to break through the defensive lines of the RF forces and force the Russian troops to retreat into the city.
The Russian Forces are still under fire from the advancing enemy units. For the moment, however, Lyman's line of defence is narrowed to the administrative boundaries of the city itself.
Unless urgent measures are taken in the near future to lift the blockade of #Lyman and redeploy a substantial part of the reserves, the city will fall along with its defenders and there will be nothing to prevent the Ukrainian militants from developing an offensive deep into Russian territory.

Positional fighting continues in the #Kupyansk area. The front line is stabilised. The advance of the AFU has been stopped.

▪️ After the withdrawal from #Drobyshevo and #Yampol, the defence of the Russian Forces was built up on the outskirts of #Lyman and in the buffer zone around the Lyman-Zarechnoye-Torskoye road. The Russian troops have stopped the offensive of the Ukrainian Forces by deploying reserves and conducting counter maneuvering battles towards #Yampol and #Stavki. By the end of the day, #Stavki was recaptured.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation in the #Lyman Section as of 14:00 on 1 Oct 2022⚡️
The Ukrainian Armed Forces concentrated their main efforts on three road sections: Lyman-Zarechnoye, Torskoye-Kremennaya, and Torskoye-Svatovo. After skilfully distributing their forces, the Ukrainian units concentrated on cutting off the lines of communication of the Russian troops.
At the same time, they continued to advance through the Russian defences in #Lyman itself, in #Stavki, on the northern outskirts of #Yampol and along the "Road of Life".
▪️ By noon on 1 October, the AFU had managed to physically cut off the Torskoye-Svatovo road and encircle Russian forces in the #Ternov area.
▪️ An Ukrainian flag was raised at the western entrance (49.012093, 37.772098) of #Lyman. At this point, at least 20% of the town was in enemy hands. This was evident from the absence of sounds of small arms and artillery fire at the western entrance to the city.
The fighting shifted to the centre and eastern part of #Lyman, the southern outskirts of #Stavkov and the northern outskirts of #Yampol. Communication between #Torsky and the #Lyman garrison is blocked by fire.
▪️ Russian Forces are striking at #Zarechnoye (Kirovsk), which was captured by Ukrainian units. The Lyman-Torskoye road passes through #Zarechnoye.
▪️ The #Torskoye-Kremennaya road is under constant shelling by the AFU, with Ukrainian manoeuvre groups trying to link up Russian units in combat.
Despite the measures taken by the Russian leadership, it has at best succeeded in slowing down the advance of Ukrainian forces. At this stage, it is not possible to change the course of the fighting around #Lyman.

By mid-afternoon it was clear. The decision had been made to withdraw troops and abandon #Lyman.
After a video emerged from the eastern outskirts of #Zarechnoye with a blown-up bridge (49.021573, 37.952583) occupied by the AFU, it became clear that the entire "Road of Life" was already under AFU control.
Russian artillery continues to impact suitable AFU units, but while the focus has so far been on #Lyman, Ukrainian formations are now targeting the blockade of #Kremennaya and taking control of the reservoirs on the #Zherebets river.
It is likely that the active phase of the AFU offensive from #Kupyansk and #Redkodub to #Svatovo, through which the Russian Forces' supply routes pass, will resume shortly.
The loss of #Lyman is, first of all, a serious damage to the reputation of the Russian Federation. Because since yesterday, this is already the territory of Russia (even though the treaties have not yet been ratified - this is not so important).
There is discussion in pro-military circles that after ratification on 5 October, hostilities will begin in full force: a wide range of weapons and military equipment will be lifted into the air, all hell will break loose in western Ukraine, and then we will get on with life.
You know, if all this is there and has not been exploited within the SMO, why would anyone think that anything will change on 5 October?

▪️ The Russian Forces carried out at least three strikes using a Geran-2 UAV against a logistics terminal in the Buchansky district of the #Kiev region, where foreign military equipment might have been present.
According to some reports, one of the kamikaze drones was shot down on the border of the #Kiev and #Zhytomyr regions.
▪️ Ukrainian militants again attempted to shell #Belgorod Region. As a result of an air defence strike, debris from one of the missiles fell on a residential block of flats.
▪️ Russian Forces fired on targets in #Miropolye and #Stukalovka in the #Sumy region.
▪️ In #Kharkov region, the Russian Forces struck enemy concentrations of personnel in the border towns of #Volchansk, #Udakh and #Bugrovatka.
▪️ In the #Starobelsk direction, the sides shelled each other with high intensity along the entire line of contact.

#Kupyansk Sector:
▪️There are no significant changes on the frontline. The command of the 14th Mechanized Brigade has rotated personnel. Formations of the Brigade are now preparing for an offensive against the positions of the Russian Forces in the direction of #Kislovka.
#Svatovo Sector:
▪️The AFU with a combined battalion and tactical group attempted an attack on the Russian positions near #Kuzemovka from the direction of #Peschanoye. Russian Forces repulsed the attack and destroyed one tank and three APCs.
#Lyman Sector:
▪️Assault groups of the 66th Mechanized AFU Brigade, supported by artillery, attacked the strongholds of Russian Forces near #Nevskoye.
During the fighting, the command of the Ukrainian unit moved a reserve of tanks to break through the Russian defences. However, the attack was repulsed and the forces of the 66th Mechanized Brigade retreated to their initial positions. As a result, the Russian Forces destroyed three tanks, two BMPs, one APC and three pickups of the AFU.
▪️ The Russian Forces' barrel and rocket artillery shell the AFU's forward positions in the #Borovaya area. For this reason, some of the personnel of the 64th Battalion of the 103rd Brigade of the AFU Territorial Defence have been withdrawn to the reserve lines.
▪️A unit of the AFU´s 71st Jager Brigade was deployed to reinforce the defence along the #Zherebets River and to carry out an assault on the #Raygorodka - #Kovalevka line.
▪️ In the vicinity of #Lyman and #Zarechnoye, the formation of a combined assault group of troops continues. A tank company was moved to the area of the settlements.
#Lysychansk Sector:
▪️After several unsuccessful attempts to storm the Russian positions in the direction of #Belogorovka, the AFU command is redeploying its units. Minefields were laid near #Serebryanka.
