As of noon, the Armed Forces of Ukraine went on the attack in several sectors of the front.
#Andreevka Sector:
▪️ After yesterday's unsuccessful assault on the village of Davydov Brod, Ukrainian formations launched another offensive against the positions of the Russian Forces with the support of several dozen vehicles and armored vehicles.
▪️ Russian artillery and aviation attacked the combat formations of the AFU. During the fire destruction of one of the columns, the enemy dropped 13 pieces of equipment, including 3 Kozak armored vehicles and 1 VAB (4x4). However, the other part crossed the pontoon built across the #Ingulets in the area of Belaya Krinitsa.
Ukrainian formations are trying to gain a foothold on the bridgehead and dig into a forest plantation near the river. The further objective of the AFU is to access Davydov Brod from the west in order to surround the Russian units in the village.
#Olgino Section:
▪️ In the afternoon, the AFU attacked from #Osokorovka and #Petrovka. Heavy fighting is taking place along the line of contact, the Ukrainian forces managed to capture several positions of the Russian Forces.
▪️ The Russian units managed to destroy at least two Ukrainian armoured personnel carriers and suffer losses of personnel, but the enemy's attack does not let up.
In the future, the AFU will try to gain a foothold on the captured lines and develop an offensive towards #Dudchan.
#PosadPokrovskoye Section:
▪️ In the evening, Ukrainian formations once again attemted to storm the positions of the Russian Forces in the #Pravdino area, where two armored groups of the AFU were defeated during an unsuccessful offensive attempt last week.
▪️ This time, only a few enemy units took part in the attack. They came under fire from Russian artillery and retreated unsuccessfully to their initial lines.

By early October 3, Russian troops have so far failed to mount a counteroffensive and regain lost positions near Zolotaya Balka. Due to bad weather last night and throughout the night, the fighting practically subsided and Russian Air Force aviation could not operate.
Fighting resumed in the morning.
▪️ On the #KrivoyRog section of the front, units of 128 Brigade, together with 60 Brigade and 17 Brigade of the AFU, have been conducting an offensive in the direction of #Kreshchenovka- #Shevchenkovka since 2 October.
▪️ In the course of combat operations, with fire support from 67 and 406 Brigade from the #Trudolyubovka area, Ukrainian formations have entrenched themselves along the #Novovorontsovka - #Novoaleksandrovka highway.
▪️ AFU units attempted to advance towards #Dudchany, but Russian forces repulsed the offensive. Artillery duels are taking place between Zolotaya Balka and #Dudchany. The Ukrainian armed forces are setting up strongholds in the occupied positions.
The Ukrainian formations with the forces of the composite BTGr intend to consolidate in the area of #Dudchany with the subsequent reaching the flank of the Russian grouping in the #Olgino sector and its operational encirclement.
At the same time, we should expect an assault on the Russian positions in the direction of #Novopetrovka and Davydov Brod in the #Andreevka sector to continue.

To the south, the AFU had to face #Dudchany, or rather even a dam blown up by our units, which they could cross, see maps from @rybar.
Several sources are speaking directly about the reasons for the retreat:
@voenacher: The crisis in the #KrivoyRog direction was caused by a huge outnumbering of the AFU in manpower and equipment. Two, far from full-blooded battalions on 20+ km front, when textbook 10.
@RSaponkov: Lack of rotation. Units of the 126 Brigade have been in combat since March. Soldiers went on leave for 5 days at best. Constant battles, injuries, experienced and shelled men were beaten out for seven months in a row. There are no miracles, no matter how heroic our soldiers are, if the village is defended by 15 men.
To make it clear, even two full-fledged battalions of 500 men for 20 kilometres of the front - that's 20 metres per man. If in battalions there is a third of the manpower, which is not uncommon, it is 60 metres per man. You understand that if you have 20 servicemen holding more than one kilometre of front they can be passed over without shooting.
According to the 1982 Combat Manual of the USSR Army, the defense area for a motorized rifle battalion should be up to 5x3 km; in 1964 it was up to 5x2 km. Two companies in the first echelon and one in the second.

Contrary to weakening fronts in the #Lyman - #Kupyansk and #Nikolaev - #KrivoyRog directions, the situation near #Donetsk is improving for Russian Forces. Assault groups continue to expand the zone of control around #Peski village and #Donetsk airport.
▪️ As a result of a successful offensive, units of the 1st AC of the DPR People´s Militia managed to occupy the territory of #Pervomayskoye village in the area up to the multi-storey development and the turnoff to #Vodyanoye.
▪️ The offensive was preceded by almost a month of fierce position fighting and artillery duels. The Ukrainian Armed Forces made repeated unsuccessful attempts to counterattack DPR positions near the village of #Peski. Significant losses of personnel and equipment led to a weakening of the enemy's combat capabilities in this section of the front.
▪️ The final clearing of the village of #Pervomayskoye will make it possible to cut off the group's supply route to #Nevelskoye. The enemy's forward artillery positions are located there. In this case, the AFU will be forced to retreat from the village.
▪️ Advance north to #Vodyanoye and #Opytnoye will allow further offensive on #Orlovskoye in order to encircle the #Avdeevka fortified area, from where Ukrainian militants are shelling the residential areas of the towns of the #Donetsk agglomeration on a daily basis.

▪️ As a result of a successful offensive, units of the 1st AC of the DPR People´s Militia managed to occupy the territory of #Pervomayskoye village in the area up to the multi-storey development and the turnoff to #Vodyanoye.
▪️ The offensive was preceded by almost a month of fierce position fighting and artillery duels. The Ukrainian Armed Forces made repeated unsuccessful attempts to counterattack DPR positions near the village of #Peski. Significant losses of personnel and equipment led to a weakening of the enemy's combat capabilities in this section of the front.
▪️ The final clearing of the village of #Pervomayskoye will make it possible to cut off the group's supply route to #Nevelskoye. The enemy's forward artillery positions are located there. In this case, the AFU will be forced to retreat from the village.
▪️ Advance north to #Vodyanoye and #Opytnoye will allow further offensive on #Orlovskoye in order to encircle the #Avdeevka fortified area, from where Ukrainian militants are shelling the residential areas of the towns of the #Donetsk agglomeration on a daily basis.

Russian forces are regrouping in the north-east of the #Kherson region. Due to the breakthrough of the AFU in the #Berislav sector and the threat of physical encirclement of the Russian group in the villages of #Dudchany and Davydov Brod, it was decided to withdraw the contingent of Russian forces to a new defensive line.
▪️ In addition to Brod, Russian units left #Bolshaya and Malaya Aleksandrovka, #Staroselye, #Trifonovka, Novaya Kamenka, #Olgino and #Arkhangelskoye.
It is not yet entirely clear how the new contact line will run. We assume that today the Russian Forces will be stationed on the line #Kostromka - #Borozenskoye - #Mylovoye. This will avoid creating a 'cauldron' and level the front line.
Given the impossibility of holding the defence in the #KrivoyRog sector, this is the only acceptable option to spare personnel and equipment.
However, the absence of retaliation and counterattacks in the near future will bring the danger of another offensive by Ukrainian Forces on #Berislav and Novaya Kakhovka, as well as on #Kherson from the Posad-Pokrovskoye and #Snigirovka sectors. Moreover, the Ukrainian Forces' control of the #Dnipro coast poses an immediate threat to the Russian contingent on the left bank of the #Dnipro River.
The Ukrainian units, provided there is no resistance, can carry out a landing operation with small boats and ships, of which they have enough. And this is already a blow against the flank of the grouping of RF forces in the #Zaporozhye region and a direct access to #Melitopol.
