▪️ In the evening, Ukrainian Forces shelled the #Dubovoye substation in #Belgorod, causing a power outage in some surrounding neighborhoods.

#Starobelsk Direction (MAP):

▪️ In the #Kupyansk area, units of the 14th Mechanized Brigade and the 32nd Territorial Defense Composite Battalion of the AFU again unsuccessfully tried to storm the positions of the Russian Forces on the #Kislovka - #Pershotravnevoye line. The enemy suffered heavy losses and retreated.

▪️ In the #Lyman - #Svatovo sector, the AFU are building up their grouping on the #Torskoye - #Terny line. Soldiers of the 208th Cossack Regiment of the Russian Forces are fighting with enemy units near the village of #Terny.

▪️ At the same time, Russian troops are holding the defences around #Novosadovoye and preventing the 111th Brigade of the AFU from establishing itself in the area.

#Soledar Direction (MAP):

▪️ South of #Bakhmut (#Artemovsk), Wagner PMC assault troops are engaged in fierce fighting in #Opytnoye. Part of the enemy units has retreated to #Kleshcheevka after losses from #Otradovka.

▪️ In #Bakhmut itself, Russian Forces have reportedly liberated a furniture factory in the east of the town, but there is no confirmation of this information.

▪️ Although information about the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the city is circulating on the Internet, no such decision has been made.

▪️ In the #Soledar sector, the sides are fighting near #Spornoye.

#Donetsk Direction:

▪️ Ukrainian militants once again shelled #Donetsk, #Makeevka, #Yasinovataya, #Dokuchaevsk, #Aleksandrovka and other surrounding settlements, no casualties. or injuries.

#Zaporozhye Direction:

Fighting continues for #Opytnoye and on the eastern outskirts of #Artemovsk. Our troops are also advancing south of #Artemovsk, attempting to advance south of the city and encircle it. The enemy moves additional reserves here and rotates tattered units.

3. #Soledar - #Seversk:
No significant changes.
Street fighting in #Soledar in the industrial zone. AFU counterattacks to the north of #Soledar were unsuccessful.
Positional fighting near #Spornoye and #Belogorovka.

4. #Kremennaya - #Svatovo:
Fighting continues near the settlements of #Terny and #Torskoye. #Torskoye is under the AFU.
The enemy throws reserves here in order to strengthen the defenses and repel our troops' counterattacks in order to try to resume the offensive on #Kremennaya.
In the area of #Svatovo our troops slightly displaced the AFU, recapturing one settlement (note #Gorobyevka). But the enemy is not expected to abandon its intentions to break through to #Svatovo in the coming weeks.

5. #Kherson:
On the front, the situation has not changed significantly so far, but there is an increase in civilian evacuations from #Kherson, which hints at an imminent intensification of fighting in light of the anticipated renewed attempts by the AFU to advance on #Berislav and #Kherson. The offensive is certain to begin before the US midterm elections in early November.

6. #Zaporozhye:
No significant changes on the front so far, position fighting. But there is a serious accumulation of enemy forces, which may take offensive action in the direction of #Vasilyevka (with support landing in #Energodar and ZNPP), #Tokmak and #Pologov.

▪️ In north-eastern Ukraine, Russian artillerymen hit targets in #Galaganovka in #Chernigov Region and #Pokrovka in #Sumy Region.

▪️ In #Kharkov Region, the Russian Armed Forces hit targets in the border villages of #Ogurtsovo, #Staritsa, #Gatishche and #Krasnoye.

▪️ In #Starobelsk direction, artillery duels are taking place along the entire contact line: Russian forces have worked off targets in #Kupyansk, #Kamenka, #Tabaevka, #Terny, #Yampolovka, #Zarechnoye, #Petrovskoye and #Novogorovka.

The Air Force has already lost two Ukrainian Mi-8 aircraft in 24 hours today. A couple of hours ago we identified the crash site of the Mi-8MSB in #Konstantinovka, and some time ago Daniil Bezsonov published a video of another downed UAV. A little later there was footage from the Ukrainian side.

The Military Intelligence channel makes a neat suggestion that the downed Mi-8 near #Spornoye may have belonged to Russian army aviation.

It was not!

The Mi-8 was flying along the route #Berestovoye - #Spornoye along the line of contact. After it was hit by a MANPADS air defence system, the aircraft was driven towards the Russian positions in #Nikolaevka.

Explanation:

▪️ as @lostarmour (thanks Kloch4) write on the forum, the helicopter is missing a DISS unit under the beam. So it could either be an Mi-8MSB-V VVSU, or a Russian aircraft of rare special configuration that simply has no business being on the front line;

▪️ Those versed in war specify that Russian Mi-8s do not fly to the line of contact alone: they are always accompanied by attack helicopters. The only exceptions are sorties by SAR teams, but the Air Force aircraft have not been shot down today.

▪️ The front line southeast of #Spornoye runs along the eastern edge of the road. Separate AFU units regularly make forays behind the leading edge and push through the Russian Armed Forces' defences in #Nikolaevka;

▪️ All Ukrainian Mi-8 aircraft of all possible modifications are used to provide fire support to the advancing units: they are operated both with machine guns and using "bushfire" launchers with rocket-propelled grenades.

The Ukrainian side has published another video of the defeat of the Mi-8 near the village of #Spornoye.

The launch was carried out from the Ukrainian side: the helicopter was "led" and hit by Ukrainian forces.

A version has already appeared on the Internet that this is an aircraft belonging to the "Wagner PMC" - so this should allegedly explain all the possible inconsistencies, see 👉 "The AFU lost two Mi-8MSBs in 24 Hours", starting from the old model, lack of escort by other aircraft of the army aviation and violation of the ban on flights closer than 8 km from the line of contact.

The most "convincing" argumentation boils down to the ironclad formula "PMCs work the way PMCs work, so it is a PMC".

At this point, the channel's editorial staff cannot reliably confirm that the vehicle really belongs to the PMC. Even if it is true, then it was probably purchased from a third country - there is already a version that this is an old Belarusian vehicle.

And for some reason no one even mentions the level of training of Ukrainian operators and crews who have repeatedly shot down their aircraft.

🩸 We want to draw attention to something else: information warfare implies motivating oneself and demoralising the enemy. Not the other way around.

Has anyone ever seen Ukrainians so scrupulously dismantling their own losses, trying to poke their neighbours in the information trench with their nose and accuse them of lying?

However, with Russian pundits, it looks like some kind of sport and a sophisticated form of masochism: everyone is racing to prove to each other that it was by no means the AFU, but the RF Armed Forces.

Fighting for strongholds near #Opytnoye and near the industrial zone on the eastern outskirts.
Advance on #Kurdyumovka is not paying much dividends so far. The enemy is rotating worn-out units in #Artemovsk. Attempts to counterattack north of the city ended unsuccessfully for the AFU.

4. #Soledar/#Seversk:

The situation has not changed much. Positional fighting continues without much progress.
Street fighting in #Soledar and positional fighting near #Spornoye and #Belogorovka.

5. #Kremennaya:

Local fighting near #Terny and #Torskoye continues to constrain the enemy's initiative in the direction of #Kremennaya. The AFU is regrouping in the #Svatovo direction to try to break the front in the direction of the #Svatovo - #Kremennaya route, as well as to repeat the attack on #Tavolzhanka.

6. #Kherson:

The situation is without significant changes. The enemy continues to conduct small attacks and combat reconnaissance, but without significant results. Our troops continue to stand in the same positions amid rumors of retreat from #Kherson. The enemy intensifies shelling of the Antonovsky Bridge area and settlements on the #Dnipro River.

2. #Ugledar:

Positional fighting continued near #Novomikhailovka and #Pavlovka without significant progress. The enemy was able to stabilize the front, due to which the pace of our offensive decreased.
We failed to take #Pavlovka in a single blow and immediately reach the route to #Ugledar, at least for now.
There were no significant changes at #Maryinka.

3. #Soledar:

There are no changes in the city itself, street battles are taking place.
Progress is reported in the battle for #Belgorovka, where our troops have again entered and are fighting to clear the settlement.
There is no change in the area of #Spornoye.

4. #Svatovo:

The enemy made several attempts to attack, but failed to advance, suffering tangible losses.
The #Kremennaya - #Svatovo highway is under enemy artillery fire, but the enemy has not been able to cut it off completely or even reach it.
The Russian Armed Forces continue to resolve the tasks of stabilizing this section of the front.

5. #Kherson:

No significant changes. The enemy continues to probe the front line of our troops, but has not yet launched a full-scale offensive, expecting some kind of catch associated with various rumors of #Kherson abandonment in connection with the destruction of the #Kakhovka hydropower plant.
The evacuation of civilians to the left bank of the #Dnipro River also officially ends today. The city itself continues to experience power outages due to the blowing up of power lines by enemy SRGs.
