What is known as of the end of August 10, 2024
After a series of morning and daytime attacks, the offensive activity of Ukrainian formations in the Kursk direction has decreased, although clashes are still ongoing in several settlements.
At the same time, the Ukrainian command is preparing to send new formations to the Russian border. According to preliminary information, the period from combat coordination to subsequent redeployment may take about five weeks.
🔻In the Sudzha district, Ukrainian formations continue to hold Honcharivka, from the outskirts of which they shell the eastern part of Sudzha.
▪️Ukrainian media published footage with AFU members in the village of Makhnovka, located south of Sudzha: apparently, the enemy ended up in the settlement in the first days of the operation, and it was then that they made the recording. However, the photos were posted online only today.
▪️There have been reports of some enemy group near Belitsa, which is more than 20 km southeast of Sudzha. However, there is no confirmation of this - it is possible that rumors about saboteurs appeared against the background of shooting at the same drones, and the sound of gunshots was taken for a skirmish nearby.
🔻In the Korenevo district, the configuration of the front has also not undergone significant changes. On the line of Russkoye Porechnoye - Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, the Russian troops precisely hit several AFU armored vehicles with "Lancets" - footage of the spectacular destruction of a T-64BV tank has already appeared online.
▪️To the southeast of Korenevo, there is evidence of the presence of a group of AFU members during the day on the bank of the Krepna River near the village of Zhuravli. Most likely, these were the remnants of the enemy forces that came under fire in the area of Kauchuk.
📌The situation in the region itself remains quite difficult: a total of at least 76,000 people were evacuated from the border areas of the Kursk Region. Temporary accommodation points have been set up for them in eight constituent entities of the Russian Federation - at the moment they can accommodate more than four thousand people.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Slobozhansky Direction: Situation Update Along the Front Line and the Situation in the Belgorod Region
Situation as of 3:00 PM on August 12, 2024
In addition to unleashing battles on the territory of Kursk Region, the AFU are again trying to break through into the Belgorod Region from the Kolotilovka border crossing.
▪️Several groups of saboteurs numbering at least 30 people, supported by a tank and an APC, engaged in combat with Russian border guards, but were forced to withdraw, suffering significant losses. According to reports from the scene, the border breach was prevented. Russian reserves have been pulled to the area of the clashes and are preparing for another, more serious attack by the AFU.
▪️The border crossing building recently burned down completely as a result of the arrival of a Ukrainian drone. Since 2022, this is where the exchange of prisoners and bodies of the dead took place with the Ukrainian side. The operation of the checkpoint is now suspended indefinitely.
▪️In the Krasnoyaruzhsky District, the evacuation of the population has been announced. Checkpoints will be set up at the entrance to the village of Krasnaya Yaryga, where representatives of self-defense, law enforcement agencies, and the administration will be on duty. They are tasked with informing the population about the situation and the location of temporary accommodation points.
▪️The day before, the enemy tried to break through in a similar way to the village of Bezymeno in the Grayvoronovsky District. After losing an APC, the Ukrainian formations retreated.
▪️Fighting continues on other sections of the Slobozhansky Direction front, but the situation in Lukashovka and Sotnitskaya Kazachka has not yet been clarified. According to some reports, the Russian troops have brought in rocket artillery systems to the settlements and have the ability to strike from MLRS at long range, destroying AFU command posts deep in the Kharkiv Region.

Situation as of 5:00 PM on August 18, 2024
While Ukrainian formations continue to attack in the Kursk Region, the operational crisis of the AFU in the Pokrovske Direction has been steadily worsening over the past few weeks. Over the past few days, Russian Armed Forces units have been able to expand the zone of control towards both Novohrodivka and the Karlovo Reservoir.
▪️Northwest of Zhelanne, Russian troops have occupied Zhuravka and have begun fighting in Kruti Yar. Apparently, the main objective of the Russian Armed Forces in this sector is the Novohrodivka Mine No. 3, located to the west, which is situated on high ground.
To the south, assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces have also expanded the zone of control, but due to the lack of objective control footage online, it is difficult to establish the front line. Here too, Russian servicemen are trying to break through to the Kotliarevska Mine (formerly "Rossia"), which was previously used by the AFU as a deployment point for equipment and communication systems.
❗️There are also reports of the Russian assault troops reaching the outskirts of Selidovo, but it is not yet possible to confirm this information. The city has been hit by several artillery strikes, and FPV drones are now targeting targets within the city limits.
▪️The Russian troops have achieved significant successes on the southern flank, where at least five settlements have come under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. Among them is Zavetne, from the center of which videos have appeared of the Russian flag being raised.

🔻Over the past few weeks, the situation for Ukrainian formations in the Pokrovske Direction has significantly deteriorated, and the overall description of the situation for the adversary is often reduced to interjections. The scale of the advance of Russian troops also demonstrates the cost of the AFU offensive in the Kursk Region.
At the same time, the Ukrainian command is already actively preparing Selidovo and Myrnohrad for defense in case of further advancement of the Russian Armed Forces - from August 19, a virtually round-the-clock curfew has been introduced in the cities, and reserves are being redeployed there.

The situation remains tense along the entire front line in the Kursk Region. The enemy is attacking with armored vehicle columns in various sectors, coming under fire from Russian Armed Forces armored vehicles and aviation.
🔻In the Glushkovo District, Ukrainian formations are trying to strike at pontoon crossings, including with FPV drones. The enemy is publishing satellite images, claiming that they have managed to disable one of the two crossings on the Seym River.
🔻In the Korenevo District, the AFU once again attempted to consolidate in the village of Korenevo. A column of Ukrainian armored vehicles even managed to drive along the highway on the eastern outskirts of the settlement towards Nikipelovka, where it was destroyed by precise JDAM strikes.
🔻In the Sudzha District, the configuration of the front line in the area of Malaya Loknya has been clarified. The forward positions of Russian troops came under fire from Marder 1A3 IFVs of the 95th Air Assault Brigade of the AFU. Thus, the Russian Armed Forces currently hold the lines in the area of Nikolayevka and Staraya Sorochina.
North of Russkoye Porechnoye, the configuration of the front line has also been clarified. Apparently, after the AFU armored vehicles were attacked by FPV drones in the village itself, Ukrainian formations managed to drive further north. Today, air strikes were carried out on enemy positions in the forest near the settlement of Nechaev.
To the southwest, several enemy armored vehicles managed to reach the village of Russkaya Konopelka. This is likely the same equipment that was recently attacked in the Agronom farmstead by FPV drones. The AFU fell into an ambush, and at least one of the vehicles was destroyed at point-blank range by an autocannon from a BTR-82A.

Russian forces struck enemy targets in several regions of the so-called Ukraine, using Geran drones. Explosions were heard in the Kharkiv, Cherkasy and Odesa Regions.
Ukrainian drones attacked six Russian regions. The main strike hit Voronezh Region, where the Marinivka airfield came under fire. Later, the AFU launched a missile at the Kavkaz port: a ferry carrying fuel tanks was hit.
In Kursk Region, Ukrainian formations carried out a series of attacks east and south of Korenevo - in this sector, the AFU reached Komarovka, but the district center remains under firm control of the Russian Armed Forces. UAV and air activity of the enemy is also recorded in the Glushkovo District.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the operational crisis of the AFU continues to worsen: Russian troops are advancing in the area of Hrodivka, Novohrodivka and Kalinovo, actively using drones to destroy enemy armored vehicles.
In the South Donetsk direction, Russian forces are fighting in Kostyantynivka, as well as east of highway O0532, where an expansion of the Russian control zone was recorded. The enemy is launching counterattacks, but without success.

In Kursk Region, Ukrainian formations carried out a series of attacks east and south of Korenevo - in this sector, the AFU reached Komarovka, but the district center remains under firm control of the Russian Armed Forces. UAV and air activity of the enemy is also recorded in the Glushkovo District.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the operational crisis of the AFU continues to worsen: Russian troops are advancing in the area of Hrodivka, Novohrodivka and Kalinovo, actively using drones to destroy enemy armored vehicles.
In the South Donetsk direction, Russian forces are fighting in Kostyantynivka, as well as east of highway O0532, where an expansion of the Russian control zone was recorded. The enemy is launching counterattacks, but without success.

Russian forces struck military targets of the enemy in Cherkasy, Myrhorod and Sumy. At the same time, the extinguishing of fuel storage tanks of the Rosrezerv in Proletarsk, Rostov Region, which was attacked again by Ukrainian drones overnight, continues.
In the Kursk direction, there are battles in the Sudzha District, where the Russian Armed Forces have restored control over Spalnoye. In the Korenevo District, fighting and exchange of strikes continue.
In the Oleksandrivka-Kalinovo direction, the Russian Armed Forces engaged in battles in the urban area of Dzerzhynsk, advancing about 1.5 km westward from Artemovo.

In Kursk Region, Ukrainian forces are attempting to improve their tactical position in several sectors.
🔻In Korenevo District, several attacks by the enemy towards Komarovka and Kremyanoye have been repelled. In the latter, the Russian Armed Forces have also expanded their control zone westward in the village: footage has emerged of a UAV strike by the AFU on the positions of Russian troops.
🔻In Sudzha District, the enemy continues attempts to break through the defenses in the area of Malaya Loknya, but has been pushed back for now. Operational-tactical aviation and artillery units have engaged the AFU positions approaching the village.
In Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, the enemy made an unsuccessful attack attempt. An AFU tank hit a mine on the road and was subsequently destroyed by an FPV drone, burning completely. Clashes continue within the settlement.
The situation has become clearer in the area of Russkaya and Cherkasskie Konopelki. The enemy is attacking towards the latter: for example, a drone strike was recorded on a group of Ukrainian infantry in one of the buildings on the territory of the "Lotos" gas station.
Fierce fighting is ongoing in the sector, and reports of AFU control over the settlements of Kolmakov and Dmitryukov are not currently confirmed.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Late at night, Ukrainian formations of the Kyiv regime carried out another treacherous and cynical shelling of the border area of the Belgorod Region. This time, the village of Rakitnoye was hit.
At the moment, it is known that at least five civilians were killed. Another 12 people were injured, including three children, two of whom were taken to the regional clinical hospital.
Seven people are being taken to Belgorod hospitals, two to the Rakitnoye Central District Hospital. Four people are in critical condition, and doctors are fighting for their lives.
Significant damage to dozens of homes and other civilian infrastructure, as well as vehicles, has been recorded in the settlement itself. Emergency services are working at the site of the shelling.
