in Sudzha and Korenevo Districts

In Kursk Region, Ukrainian forces are attempting to improve their tactical position in several sectors.

🔻In Korenevo District, several attacks by the enemy towards Komarovka and Kremyanoye have been repelled. In the latter, the Russian Armed Forces have also expanded their control zone westward in the village: footage has emerged of a UAV strike by the AFU on the positions of Russian troops.

🔻In Sudzha District, the enemy continues attempts to break through the defenses in the area of Malaya Loknya, but has been pushed back for now. Operational-tactical aviation and artillery units have engaged the AFU positions approaching the village.

In Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, the enemy made an unsuccessful attack attempt. An AFU tank hit a mine on the road and was subsequently destroyed by an FPV drone, burning completely. Clashes continue within the settlement.

The situation has become clearer in the area of Russkaya and Cherkasskie Konopelki. The enemy is attacking towards the latter: for example, a drone strike was recorded on a group of Ukrainian infantry in one of the buildings on the territory of the "Lotos" gas station.

Fierce fighting is ongoing in the sector, and reports of AFU control over the settlements of Kolmakov and Dmitryukov are not currently confirmed.

What is known as of 1:00 PM on August 25, 2024

The situation in the Kursk Region remains difficult but under control. The intensity of combat operations has gradually decreased compared to previous days, transitioning to a positional phase.

🔻In the Korenevo District, clashes continue on the approaches to Kremyanoye, in Krasnooktyabr'skoye, and in the area of Snahost'. No advances by the enemy in this sector have been recorded.

🔻In the Sudzha District, Russian forces are holding positions in Malaya Loknya, where the AFU periodically attempt attacks towards the women's colony, each time meeting a worthy rebuff.

No changes in the combat situation overnight have been recorded in Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, as well as in the areas of Russkaya Konopel'ka and Cherkasska Konopel'ka.

🔻Russian forces have destroyed another enemy air defense system in the border area of Sumy Region. This time, a Buk-M1 system hidden in a building in the settlement of Gritsenkovo was hit.

In Kursk Region, a decrease in the intensity of attacks by the enemy, who has focused efforts on holding occupied territories and engineering the fortification of positions, is observed.

▪️In Glushkovo District, the situation did not change overnight. The AFU are not abandoning attempts to advance west of Apanasovka, but all attacks have been repelled by Russian troops so far.

▪️In Korenevo District, the enemy tried to attack Komarovo with a group of two armored vehicles, which came under the strike of Russian FPV drones.
Northeast, "Upyr" kamikaze drones destroyed several more pieces of Ukrainian equipment hidden by the enemy in forest belts.

In the area of Matveyevka and Olhovka, fighting continues with varying success. East of Kremyanoye, the crew of an FPV drone "VT-40" destroyed an AFU tank that had moved to a firing position.

▪️In Sudzha District, the active work of the Russian Armed Forces to reduce the combat potential of the AFU also continues. In Russkoye Porechnoye, a drone destroyed an AFU "Kazak" APC, and in the occupied Zaoleshchanka, the Russian Aerospace Forces aviation destroyed a parking lot of Ukrainian formations' equipment.

Despite contradictory information about the status of Spalnoye, reports from the scene indicate that the settlement is under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, with fighting continuing west of the village.

▪️Last night, enemy aviation struck the positions of the Russian Armed Forces in the border town of Tetkinо. In addition, in the vicinity of the Kursk NPP, unexploded HIMARS rockets were found on the ground, some of which were shot down by on-duty air defense systems.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Oleksandrivka-Kalynove direction: Advance of the Russian Armed Forces and liberation of most of Druzhba

Against the backdrop of the success of the Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction, the situation in the Dzerzhynsk agglomeration was somewhat overshadowed, but here too there is a significant advance of the Russian Armed Forces.

▪️The majority of Druzhba, based on footage from objective control, has been liberated. Assault groups are operating on the northwestern outskirts of the settlement. Given the source of the footage, the settlement may actually have been completely liberated already. East of the village, at least part of the forest belts on both sides of the Siversky Donets - Donbas canal have also been cleared.

▪️In Kirovo (Pivnichne), there are battles, and the majority of the settlement has also come under the control of the Russian troops. The presence of the enemy remains on the northwestern outskirts north of the cemetery. However, given the ongoing clashes, it is most likely that the Ukrainian formations will try to cling to and hold as long as possible the Dachne area located to the west.

▪️On the eastern outskirts of Dzerzhynsk (Toretsk), the advance groups of assault troops were able to occupy the intersection of Tereshkova Street and 91st Division some time ago. Battles are underway for the territory of the Central Hospital and the garages to the south. One of the difficult defense nodes of the enemy may be the Toretsk Correctional Colony No. 2, but only if the operational crisis does not worsen.

The situation in the quarters on the southern outskirts, in the area of Gaidara Street, remains shrouded in the fog of war. The Russian troops attempted an attack through the territory of the previously occupied psychiatric hospital, but how successful it was is still unclear.

▪️A similar situation exists in the area of Nelepovka and north of Novhorodske (New York). There is no information about new attacks by the Russian Armed Forces or counterattacks by the AFU, but this does not directly indicate a lull.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 South Donetsk Direction: Advances of the Russian Armed Forces and the Situation in Kostyantynivka

In recent days, the front line in the South Donetsk direction has not stood still - the Russian troops are advancing on several sectors.

▪️West of Peremoha, assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces attacked the AFU positions in the former reservoir and drove out the enemy, but were unable to consolidate. This strongpoint has changed hands at least twice, and fighting in its vicinity continues at the moment.

▪️The situation in Kostyantynivka, the liberation of which was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense today, has also become clearer. According to footage from objective control and information from local sources, it is premature to speak of the complete capture of the settlement - fighting is still ongoing there.

Part of the village north of Dzherelna Street is most likely a "gray zone". Also, footage was published online of a strike by a Russian UAV on AFU transport near the intersection of Berehovaya Street and O0532 (T-05-24) highway: according to our data, the AFU still retain the ability to cross the Sukhyi Yaly river via the bridge from the north.

▪️The situation is developing dynamically in the area of Vodyane, where the Russian troops have achieved success. The enemy was completely driven out of the territory east of the O0532 highway and north of the Ikryana Gully, and now the Russian Armed Forces are advancing towards Vodyane across a relatively wide front. However, the fact of fighting for the dachas of the 3rd mine, which was reported several days ago, has not yet been confirmed.

▪️In the area of Pavlivka, Russian units expanded the zone of control towards Prechystivka, where Russian servicemen occupied several forest belts along the T-05-09 highway. The situation between Novomaiiske and Pavlivka has also become clearer - in this area, the offensive is developing from the initial positions in the area of the Volcha Gully (Volchyi Yar).

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Pokrovsk-Kurakhove Direction: Fighting in Selidovo and Liberation of Most of Halytsynivka

On the Pokrovsk-Kurakhove Direction, the AFU continue to lose more positions. Russian forces are suppressing pockets of enemy resistance and advancing towards Kurakhove, gradually encircling the AFU grouping to the east.

▪️In Selidovo, assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces have established control over the territory of the city park and the "Avanhard" stadium. Now the Russian troops are fighting in the area of Hohol Street, beyond which there is a sector of apartment buildings used by the enemy to build up defenses in the city.

To the south, the forward groups of Russian assault troops reached 8 Veresnya Street, dislodging the AFU from several positions. Local residents report active artillery work in the area of the "Malvina" kindergarten, where the line of contact is likely passing at the moment.

❗️West of Nahorna Street is a quarter of high-rise buildings, which the Ukrainian formations will likely try to turn into a key defensive strongpoint. Successful overcoming of the AFU resistance in this area will allow the Russian Armed Forces to consolidate their control over the quarter and prevent the enemy from organizing a fortified defense line.

▪️To the south, Russian forces, according to available information, have liberated the settlement of Dolinivka, abandoned by the enemy due to the lack of ability to hold it. To the east, the Russian Armed Forces have established control over most of Halytsynivka, dislodging the AFU from positions on the southern bank of the Volchia River.

According to some information, the forward groups of Russian infantry have already entered the territory of Zhelanne Pershe, while the majority of enemy units have retreated from the settlement.

❗️Certain sources also report the start of fighting for Ukrainsk, but it is not yet possible to confirm this with objective control footage and information from the scene.

🔻The combat situation for the AFU is apparently deteriorating rapidly. Russian forces are actively advancing towards Kurakhove, the enemy's key transportation hub, which creates a threat to the supply of several AFU groupings on other directions of the front.

In addition, the situation in the Nevelske area remains unclear: according to unconfirmed data, Ukrainian formations are still present in the fields to the west of it. In this case, the advance of Russian units towards Kurakhove will effectively mean their encirclement.

In the Kursk Direction, the Russian Armed Forces are increasing the pace of destroying the enemy's armored vehicles and military infrastructure, including through the use of medium-altitude long-endurance strike UAVs.

🔻In the Glushkovo District, Ukrainian formations attacked Snagost, which was successfully repelled by Russian forces. To the southwest, Russian UAV operators destroyed a Ukrainian pickup truck moving near the Glushkovo-Korenevo railway line.

🔻In the Sudzha District, the AFU carried out several attacks on Russian positions near Malaya Loknya and Pogrebki, but failed to achieve success.

▪️In the Sudzha area, Russian artillery and aviation regularly strike at concentrations of enemy personnel and equipment in the surrounding forest belts.

▪️In Makhnovka, Russian troops destroyed two Ukrainian tanks using the Orion (Inokhodets) UAV - the last time footage of its use in a strike role appeared more than a year ago.

Given the high density of air defenses, the use of such systems by both sides of the front is difficult, so this episode can be considered a rarity in the current realities.

🔻In Sumy Region, Russian forces struck a temporary deployment point of the AFU in Radkivka using the Iskander OTRK.
