🇺🇸🇮🇷 Iran is considering participating in peace talks with the US in Pakistan, Reuters correspondent Parisa Hafezi reported, citing a senior Iranian official — though a final decision has not yet been made.

Al Jazeera, citing a Pakistani source, reports that a second round of US-Iran negotiations is expected to take place on Tuesday afternoon, with both delegations arriving in the morning.

Pakistani officials say preparations are already underway. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that "foolproof security arrangements have been made for foreign delegations" — a key concern for Tehran, given that numerous Iranian officials have been killed in US and Israeli strikes. The Serena Hotel in Islamabad, which hosted the first round earlier this month, has been cleared of guests, and thousands of additional security personnel have been deployed across the city.

🇭🇺🇮🇱 Peter Magyar, Hungary's incoming prime minister, says Hungary will comply with ICC arrest warrants — including the one for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Magyar has invited all heads of state and government he has spoken with by phone to Budapest for the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian uprising in October — Netanyahu included. But he was unambiguous: if Netanyahu sets foot on Hungarian soil, he will be arrested.

"If a person subject to an arrest warrant enters a member state of the ICC, they must be taken into custody," Magyar told reporters.

This reverses the policy of outgoing PM Viktor Orbán, who hosted Netanyahu in Budapest last year and subsequently announced Hungary's withdrawal from the ICC, effective June 2nd. Magyar says he intends to halt that withdrawal before the deadline.

🇺🇸🇮🇶 The United States has reportedly suspended all funding and security coordination with the Iraqi government and has halted dollar shipments to Iraq's central banking system, according to Saudi channel Al-Hadath.

Washington says the suspension will remain in effect until a new Iraqi government is formed and Baghdad provides information on pro-Iranian militia members who have attacked U.S. targets in Iraq.

Iraq's economy is 90% dependent on oil revenue paid in dollars into a Federal Reserve account in New York. Every month, Baghdad flies in $1-2 billion in cash from that account to pay salaries and conduct government functions. Cutting dollar access means the Iraqi government cannot operate—salaries go unpaid, the dinar collapses, and the state grinds to a halt.

Iraq is currently forming a new government after November 2025 elections. The U.S. threatened in January to suspend engagement if any of 58 pro-Iranian MPs were included in the cabinet. Now Trump is enforcing that ultimatum while Iraq remains paralyzed between Washington and Tehran.

Washington invaded Iraq, destroyed its economy, controls its oil revenue through the New York Fed, and is now starving the government until it picks a cabinet the White House approves.

🇺🇦🇺🇸 Zelensky has said Trump cannot serve as a security guarantor for Ukraine.

"For example, the US says — President Trump. President Trump has two and a half years left. What do we do after that?" he said.

He also again refused to withdraw Ukrainian forces from Donetsk region, rejecting US demands to pull back from both Lugansk and Donetsk.

"They want us to leave Lugansk and Donetsk regions. Strategically, this is a defeat for us — a defeat for the Armed Forces. Fortified positions, a line of defense — we would definitely become weaker," he said.

Zelensky also downplayed the repeatedly delayed visit by Witkoff and Kushner to Kiev, urging media not to treat it as a major development.

"It's not us who need it — it's them," he said, while also accusing the two US envoys of disrespecting Ukraine.

"It's disrespectful to go to Moscow but not come to Kiev," Zelensky said.

The figure of 1.7 million had already leaked several months ago — since then, additional casualties must be factored in, bringing the total to approximately 2 million or beyond, he said.
