🇺🇦 Ukrainian journalist in exile Anatolij Sharij reports that the substance seen on Zelensky’s desk is “Mili Nosik” drops.
These are children’s drops containing phenylephrine, a sympathomimetic that constricts blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing blood flow to the mucosa and easing swelling for an extended period.
Such swelling can result from chronic rhinitis — or from intranasal use of cocaine.
The drug is widely known and recommended among cocaine users because it’s taken orally rather than into the nose, allowing continued sniffing while using the drops.
The other medication appears to be Otrivin, a nasal spray that effectively relieves nasal congestion within two minutes.
Just a coincidence, of course...
