❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 During the week, AFU drone raids on Russian regions continued. As before, settlements in the Belgorod, Donetsk and Kherson regions most often come under fire from Ukrainian formations.

▪️ The AFU tried several times to attack targets in the rear regions of Russia. Russian air defense systems shot down several enemy drones in the Smolensk, Oryol, Ryazan, Rostov and Moscow regions. At the end of the week, the AFU once again used modernized S-200 missiles to attempt an attack on the Krasnodar Territory.

▪️ In the border region , the Belgorod region remains the leader in the number of shellings: more than 300 arrivals were recorded, two people were wounded. In the Kursk region, the village of Tetkino was under fire from the AFU several times a week. There were also reports of shelling and air defense operations in the Bryansk region.

▪️ The AFU continued to fire at the DPR. Over the entire period, more than 400 shells were fired across the republic. Most often, the western regions of Donetsk, as well as Gorlovka, were under fire. In addition, on November 29, S-200 missiles were intercepted over Mariupol. In just a week of shelling, 21 people were wounded and one more was killed.

▪️ The frequency of missile attacks on settlements in the Zaporizhia region has increased. The enemy attacked the city of Polohy several times during the week, including from the HIMARS rocket launcher: two people were killed and six more were wounded. On November 28, six rockets were fired at the city of Tokmak: several rockets hit the territory of a kindergarten and a local hospital.

▪️ The shelling of the left bank of the Kherson region did not stop. The AFU targeted civilian infrastructure facilities, including the Kakhovka 330 kV substation . On November 28, the enemy attacked the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs building in Yubileiny from the HIMARS rocket launcher: four people were killed and 18 more were injured. In total, over 400 shells were fired across the region.

🔻In Krynki, the Ukrainian command has initiated a partial withdrawal of marines from the left to the right bank due to significant losses in manpower within the Katran strike group.

▪️ Taking advantage of unfavorable weather conditions that night, the wounded from Krynki were evacuated to Tyaginka. In response, the enemy dispatched the advance group of the 2nd battalion from the 38th infantry regiment.

▪️ Despite the decrease in the number of marines, the AFU Territorial Defense units have started to fill their positions. Currently, there are approximately 20 personnel from the 126 Brigade Territorial Defense stationed in Krynki. An additional 40 individuals arrived at the Ivanovka-Tyaginka-Lvovo line the other day.

❗️To counter the intense fire strike on the AFU bridgehead in Krynki, the Ukrainian command has deployed additional air defense crews to the front line. Furthermore, several Bukovel electronic warfare units are stationed in Kherson. The inclement weather will further complicate the work of UAV operators.

❗️ 🇷🇺 🪖 New command, old problems: about the Dnepr group of troops

After Colonel General Oleg Makarevich took over as commander of the Dnepr group of troops back in November, we examined the challenges inherited by Colonel General Mikhail Teplinsky. It has been two months since then, and we can now evaluate the changes and remaining issues.

✅ The situation along the left bank of the Dnieper River in the coastal zone has relatively stabilized. During the beginning and middle of autumn, Ukrainian units frequently launched attacks on settlements near the river. Although the enemy is still present in Krynki, the settlement has been turned into a sort of "corral," diminishing the offensive capabilities of Ukrainian formations (including their "elite" units), although not without losses on the Russian side.

✅ Local commanders have altered their approach to engaging units in assaults, although not completely. Suicidal orders like "recapture the Antonovsky Bridge at any cost" are no longer heard. Instead, flexibility and reasonable ingenuity have taken precedence to preserve the lives of personnel. However, it should be noted that these changes were not brought about by favorable circumstances.

❗️However, there are still numerous problems, and in some cases, the situation has even worsened.

⛔️ The air defense situation in the Kherson region is a matter of great concern. Over the past six months, the problem of repelling mass attacks by UAVs, missiles, and rockets has been addressed on a national scale and in specific areas. While there are resources available in the Kherson region, their utilization is hindered by various bureaucratic issues.

As a result, enemy planes and helicopters have become increasingly audacious, occasionally flying over Krynki and launching attacks on rear areas using guided and unguided missiles. Unfortunately, our forces have been unable to shoot them down because they are awaiting permission. To approve a target within the group, whether it is an air defense missile system position or a concentration of personnel, a slide with photo or video evidence and coordinates must be presented. Ultimately, everything depends on when the headquarters considers the information and makes a decision, which often becomes irrelevant. On some days, the number of targets can exceed a dozen. Unfortunately, on January 6, we personally witnessed how the process of coordinating a fire strike involving 5 armored vehicles, 7 self-propelled guns, and 2 tanks on the right bank of the Dnieper took half a day, only for the information to leak completely to the enemy, rendering the targets irrelevant.

⛔️ There is also a lack of electronic warfare equipment. We are unsure of the reasons, but the troops have electronic warfare systems (although not enough for everyone, efforts are being made to address this issue). Ukrainian drones operate on frequencies that are no longer a secret, and a significant number of Ukrainian Armed Forces drones fly over Russian military personnel on the front lines.

⛔️ The human factor remains the most challenging aspect. While it is possible to gradually equip the front line with various weapons and systems, dealing with the rigid thinking of decision-makers is more difficult.

Until officers understand and realize that implementing fire strike plans or relying on slide-based reporting and decisions days after the fact are not applicable in wartime, we will continue to face recurring situations.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 In our reports from the Kherson direction, we often mentioned the AFU's bridgehead in the village of Krynki. This bridgehead has now become a "corral" for Ukrainian formations and is being heavily targeted by artillery fire and air strikes.

But, as the saying goes, seeing is believing. A video from the enemy's side clearly shows the devastated landscape in this long-suffering populated area. The trees have been completely destroyed, only fragments of walls remain from the houses, and the ground is filled with craters from aerial bombs and shells.

By the way, the recent weather has added to the problems faced by the AFU. The channels on the approaches to Krynki have partially frozen. This has made it impossible for boats to pass, and even on foot, it is difficult to navigate the area. The ice is not strong enough everywhere to support a fighter with their equipment and ammunition.

All of these factors will undoubtedly have an impact on the enemy's losses and supplies in this small area on the left bank of the Dnieper.

Russian troops continue to target energy infrastructure facilities in the so-called Ukrainian territory. Facilities in Kharkiv and Zaporizhia, as well as military infrastructure in several regions, have been damaged.

In the Seversky direction, units of the Russian Armed Forces are advancing north of Vesely, consolidating the position taken a week ago. Simultaneously, Russian military personnel are advancing near the railway.

Even greater success is observed in the Bakhmut area. West of Ivanovskoye, Russian troops pushed through the forest to the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal. To the west of Bogdanovka, it is reported that they managed to secure the eastern outskirts of Chasov Yar in the Kanal microdistrict.

Intense fighting is also occurring near Avdiivka, where the Russian Armed Forces are advancing to the west of Tonenke and launching an assault on the AFU defenses in Semenivka. In response, the enemy is attempting flank attacks southwest of Tonenke and counterattacking in the Pervomaisky area towards Vodyanoy.

There have been significant blows as well. Ukrainian forces targeted the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant in Enerhodar, disabling the substation, but a disaster and radioactive substance leakage were averted.

for April 5, 2024

Russian troops initiated multiple attacks on Motor Sich plant in Zaporizhia, as well as on enemy targets in Kharkov and surrounding areas. Another objective was the Novoodesskaya 330 substation in the Odessa region.

Ukrainian forces conducted a covert raid on the airfields of the Aerospace Forces aviation in Morozovsk, Yeysk, and Engels, without causing any casualties or damage to aircraft.

In Seversky region, near Vesely, Russian Armed Forces units seized an enemy stronghold and launched a successful offensive from Berestovoy towards Vyemka.

Battle is ongoing in Bakhmut region near Chasov Yar. Russian airborne units established positions on the eastern outskirts of the Novy microdistrict. To the south, conflicts are taking place in Stupki-Golubovskiye-2.

In Avdeevsky region, assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces are gathering in Semenovka, where they are being targeted by enemy artillery and drones. No significant changes have been reported in the vicinity of Berdychi and Semenovka.

In Zaporozhye region, clashes persist in the Robotyne area and northwest of Verbovoy. Ukrainian forces are fortifying the second line of defense in the Orekhov area.

In Kherson region, Russian units destroyed another boat carrying enemy personnel en route to relieve forces at the bridgehead in Krynki.
