🇮🇱🇾🇪On the non-obvious results of the Israeli Air Force attack on Al-Hudaydah
Starting from April 2022, a fragile peace has been maintained on the territory of Yemen between the previously warring Ansar Allah movement and the internationally recognized government of Yemen, headed by its chairman Rashad al-Alimi, affiliated with Saudi Arabia.
And if the latter initially supported the strikes of the American-British coalition on the territory of Yemen, then after the attack of the Israeli Air Force on the port of Al-Hudaydah, the situation changed somewhat - the once warring parties were finally able to agree on de-escalating tensions.
In particular, this was expressed in the initiation of meetings to discuss long-standing issues, including the further peaceful settlement of the conflict and the establishment of economic ties to ensure a stable situation throughout the territory of Yemen.
📌Apparently, the resonant strike of the Israelis pushed the warring parties to an agreement against the background of the risks of an even greater deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the country. The fact is that the port of Al-Hudaydah is a key point for the import of fuel and humanitarian aid into Yemen.
And in case of its shutdown, the parties need to agree on alternative supply routes, which is essentially what was done - it was possible to agree on the resumption of flights of the national airline Yemenia Airways, as well as the mutual cancellation of banking restrictions for the subsequent establishment of trade ties.
🔻Nevertheless, it is not worth expecting that the parties will be able to fully resolve the conflict in the near future. At the moment, we are talking only about an attempt to temporarily mitigate the confrontation against the background of the deteriorating humanitarian situation and the risk of another round of tension between the Houthis and the groups supported by Saudi Arabia.

❗️🇮🇱🇱🇧 So, the death of Fuad Shukri has been officially confirmed by Hezbollah's press service. The hopes of many Arabic-speaking commentators that one of the group's leaders had survived have been dashed.
Shukri's death is the biggest loss in terms of status, given that he was considered the second-in-command of the organization. And this fact essentially obliges a serious response.
Against this background, the US State Department has already called on American citizens to refrain from traveling to Lebanon in anticipation of Hezbollah's response. In northern Israel, everyone is on alert to repel massive strikes.
🔻As we can see, the Israelis are consistently raising the level of tension. Literally a few months ago, the targets of the attacks were low-level commanders, and now they are the very leaders of the group.
Where all this is leading - we think there's no need to explain. The current Israeli authorities need a continuation of the war by any means to maintain power. First, the killing of the second-in-command after Nasrallah, and then the head of Hamas, and voila - just wait for the reaction.
And then it will always be possible to say that the outbreak of war is the work of Iran and its proxies, and the Israelis were just defending themselves.

⚡️ ⭕️ Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor:
📌 The #Gaza Strip records daily deaths of patients and wounded as a result of the blockade and #Israel's prevention of the entry of medical supplies and medicines and its destruction of the health sector.
📌 Deprivation of necessary treatment, food and other materials essential for survival is a slow death for those who were not directly killed by #Israeli military attacks.
📌 We receive dozens of complaints daily from #Palestinians who need to travel or travel for their relatives to receive life-saving treatment outside the #Gaza Strip, in light of the majority of hospitals being out of service due to the blockade and #Israeli targeting.
📌 The health crisis has been seriously worsening since #Israel closed the #Rafah land crossing with #Egypt last May, which prevented thousands of wounded and sick people from traveling to receive treatment and led to the death of hundreds of them so far.
▫️ Data from the #Palestinian Ministry of Health in #Gaza indicate that there are more than 12,000 wounded and 14,000 patients in need of urgent external transfer to save lives.
📌These are part of the tens of thousands who are in dire need of travel to complete treatment or receive essential health and rehabilitation services that are not available in the #Gaza Strip.
📌Deaths due to the lack of medicines or treatment or the lack of adequate health care are in the dozens daily and they are not officially counted among the victims of the ongoing #Israeli military attacks.
📌The data indicates a significant increase in the death rate in the #Gaza Strip during the past months compared to the same period in the previous two years, and this is related to hospitals being out of service and the collapse of the health system as a result of systematic #Israeli targeting.
📌We warn that thousands of cancer patients are facing severe suffering and are threatened with death due to the lack of treatment and their need to be transferred to travel to receive chemotherapy doses.
📌The ongoing siege and closure of crossings after the #Israeli destruction of hospitals and health facilities in #Gaza and putting most of them out of service means an #Israeli decision to carry out a mass execution of patients and the injured and deliberately kill them.
📌Israel is committing full-fledged war crimes against hospitals and protected persons, including the wounded and sick in #Gaza, without respecting the rules of international law.
📌Urgent action is required to lift the siege on #Gaza, bring in medical supplies to save the lives of sick and wounded civilians, guarantee the right to travel for treatment for patients, bring in the necessary supplies to rebuild the health system immediately, and ensure its protection from #Israeli targeting.

🇦🇲🇮🇷🇦🇿🇮🇱 On the security challenges facing Armenia amid the confrontation between Iran and Israel
Armenian MP Tigran Abramyan accuses the Armenian authorities of complete inaction regarding the tense situation in the region and in the context of the escalation between Iran and Israel.
▪️Abramyan points out that discussions have intensified in Iranian circles about the location of Israeli secret military facilities in the occupied territories of Artsakh and that they pose a real threat.
▪️Israel's support for Azerbaijan in the Karabakh conflict has long been known. In Tel Aviv, they sold weapons worth billions of dollars to the Azerbaijanis, and Israeli intelligence and military played a key role in planning and approving the operation in Artsakh.
▪️In addition to the commercial interest of the Israelis in supporting Azerbaijan (arms sales and oil purchases), the opportunity to approach the borders of Iran through Artsakh played a key role.
▪️So it would not be surprising if Baku indeed agreed to the deployment of Israeli bases in Artsakh in exchange for comprehensive support.
▪️At the same time, for Iran, the sovereignty of Armenia is perhaps much more important than for the current Armenian authorities. In Tehran, they have been declaring daily in recent times that they do not accept changes to the borders in the region, referring to the situation around the Syunik region and the opening of the so-called "Zangezur Corridor" through Armenia, which is supposed to connect Turkey and Azerbaijan.
▪️Recently, Baku unexpectedly announced that they had agreed to exclude the issue of the corridor from the peace treaty with Armenia and postpone it for later. The unexpected compromise is associated with Azerbaijan's desire to conclude a peace treaty with Armenia as soon as possible.
▪️However, it cannot be ruled out that the position of Iran and its threats against Israel also prompted the postponement of the corridor issue, among other things. This is evidenced, in particular, by the fact that the IDF decided to withdraw its troops from Azerbaijan due to fear of retaliation from Iran.
▪️Another sensitive issue for Iran and Armenia remains the possible deployment of Israeli missiles in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, an Azerbaijani exclave.
🔻The tensions of recent weeks in the region are clearly passing by Armenian diplomacy, which remains silent and does not express a single reproach against the regional players who threaten Armenia's security.
This situation is another proof that Armenia is losing its political sovereignty and the opinion of Yerevan is simply not of interest to anyone.
