Cilantro is a wonderful herb rich in vitamins A, K, and C, as well as minerals like iron, calcium, and magnesium, boasting more antioxidants than most fruits and vegetables. It is also a powerful detoxifier, capable of removing heavy metals such as mercury…
Cilantro contains an antibacterial compound called dodecenal, which can kill salmonella bacteria and prevent salmonella poisoning. It is highly beneficial for various conditions including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, diabetes, viral and bacterial infections, hepatitis, colitis, obsessive-compulsive disorders, autism, Tourette syndrome, infertility, and Bell’s palsy. Cilantro is also helpful for autoimmune disorders such as fibromyalgia, Addison’s disease, Guillain-Barre syndrome, IBS, multiple sclerosis, and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Cilantro supports the stomach, spleen, adrenals, thyroid, pancreas, bladder, and lungs. It also helps reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and increase HDL (good) cholesterol. Cilantro is often juiced with celery and apples to create a medicinal and healing drink, which is one of the most effective ways to consume a bunch or more of cilantro daily.

Cilantro can also be incorporated into smoothies, salsas, salads, guacamole, soups, pesto, tomatoes, beans, and vegetable dishes. If you find the green flavor unappealing but still want its health benefits, consider using cilantro tincture or extract, available online or at health food stores.
