#Stratford? Or any other city in the world?
Other than telling you where this is, what recognisable traits of #London can you see in this video? Where is the architectural brilliance or any sign of England?
■ Just because you fill something up doesn't mean it isn't empty.

May We Remember
Recorded on 11/09/2021 beside a piece of the wreckage in #Stratford, #London. May those of us who are alive to remember, recall the true nature of the sickening evil & unnecessary horror that took place in #NewYork, #USA. #RIP

Nissan, prefabricated steel huts on Bridge Road in #Stratford, #London during #WW2 (opposite the trainsworks warehouse). Prefabs acted as replacements for homes destroyed during German Air raids. It's crazy to me to compare the #Stratford of the past with the hell I know today.
In 17th century #Stratford, #London, this was the site of ‘The Swan’ pub & holsterie & existed as a very vital stop for omnibus terminus, & later for coaches & trams as their final stop before entering the #CityOfLondon. The area has declined since.

When I was tiny, I looked at the estates and thought I’d love to see them all torn down. I thought in my young naive age, that modernism was a good thing and that the entire place should be rebuilt to better represent #London as a whole. However, when the process began, though I was still young, it became apparent that my childhood dream would in fact become a living nightmare throughout my adulthood.
- In reference to #Stratford on the lead up to the 2012 #Olympic games, the one's which ruthlessly tore apart my home and heart.
