The building of the 'Holborn Viaduct' in #London during the 1860s. It was originally build across the River Fleet Valley which is no longer visible above ground.
Ironically, many of the homes that housed the poor (as well as the middle/upper-middle class) are still the most picturesque in #Whitechapel, despite an abundance of "new housing."

The example of Brentford's loss of Pubs is a frightening insight into the future of a very bland #Britain. The once bustling high street served the many dockers and traders who brought the place to life. Like most places in #London and it's suburbs, we've too many lost tales to ever truly tell. 🍻

#Brentford High Street is one of the greatest insights into Britain's dying pubs. Once, this one street had 50 pubs! Now, hyper-modernisation reigns supreme within an area once so important for its docks, pubs, and people.

“Few places in this world are more dangerous than home.
Fear not, therefore, to try the mountain passes.
They will kill care, save you from deadly apathy, set you free, and call forth every faculty into vigorous, enthusiastic action.”

This is a special feature covering a dark, sinister topic that occurred during the medical industries early breakthroughs. Pubs from #Edinburgh to #London would be an incredibly dangerous place to show signs of illness or to discuss a family death. The murders of #BurkeAndHare exposed a sickening trade that was promoted by a morally corrupt medical industry. Join me in one of Scotlands beautiful kirkyards to discuss an embarrassing, disturbing secret of Britain's academic and criminal past.

The privilege of inner city life..
This lady approached ChelseaDan5 and myself and asked to gain access to the pub, which wasn't open. She then began talking to herself whilst shamelessly squatting right beside us. Never a boring day in beautiful #London.

The idea of graverobbing disgusts me, but if Marjorie from Game of Thrones died, I may have to "protect" the body.

A ruthlessly rushed regime of homogenized hypermodernisation has erased the ability, desire, and excuse to be among one another.
