When I was tiny, I looked at the estates and thought I’d love to see them all torn down. I thought in my young naive age, that modernism was a good thing and that the entire place should be rebuilt to better represent #London as a whole. However, when the process began, though I was still young, it became apparent that my childhood dream would in fact become a living nightmare throughout my adulthood.

- In reference to #Stratford on the lead up to the 2012 #Olympic games, the one's which ruthlessly tore apart my home and heart.

White Hart public house once sat on #Hackney Marshes (on the road to #Leyton) which is now the #Olympic site. This site is close to where I was born & lived my life. Having been born in modern times, I'll never know what it was really like. @Britains___Pubs

This building is one of the few reminders of my youth within the area of #Stratford. The #Olympic site was a prime excuse to rid east #London of all character, as well as its characters.
