China Textile Center, designed by ATAH, is an art and commercial complex located in Shaoxing. The Heli-stage of CTC, situated at the main entrance of the complex, serves as the heart of the project. As the symbolic center of the entire complex, this #unique #structure has its own design language and aims to blend the various commercial #attractions with an artistic touch.

The design concept involves a #spiral form that blurs the boundary between floors, there by #connecting the exterior space with the interior, and creating a continuous exhibition space. To achieve this visual effect, a geometric web fuses onto a #helical #surface. Visitors will move through both indoor and outdoor landscaping via the #access #staircase without noticing the transition due to the floors’ blurring effect....
