The stadium has a #retractable #design with convertible stands that can be adjusted to suit different event requirements. Its architecture embodies the elegance of traditional Chinese design, featuring a #prominent arch and a #roof that combines historical elements with modern grandeur. The façade #predominantly utilizes white perforated aluminum panels and a white #membrane structure. The roof’s design includes raised sections that #mimic the textured appearance of #traditional tiled roofs, combining #historical elements with modern grandeur. 🤌

🏛 | Lucila Rubio de Laverde School

🫥The Lucila Rubio de Laverde School in Bogotá, Colombia, was #designed by the #architectural #firms are architecture en Estudio and Nómena architecture. This school is part of an initiative by the Mayor of Bogotá to improve public #infrastructure and #provide quality education facilities within walking distance for students.🎮

🤖The #design #features a two-level podium housing #communal #spaces like an auditorium, library, and dining hall, which are accessible to the community outside #school hours. The classrooms are #located in a six-story slab that faces the Bogotá River, taking advantage of natural light and ventilation. The #building uses #locally made brick to reduce #maintenance and establish a #connection with Bogotá’s traditional #architecture.🤌

Metabolist Movement: Architecture that Grows!

🧐 Did you know buildings can evolve like living organisms? 🌱 The (Metabolist Movement)—born in post-war #Japan in the 1960s—envisioned cities as dynamic, adaptable systems that could grow and #change over time.

👥 Architects like #Kenzo Tange and Kisho Kurokawa #designed structures with modular, replaceable parts, allowing #buildings to respond to changing needs.

One iconic example is the #Nakagin Capsule Tower in Tokyo. Each unit, or “capsule,” was designed to be swapped out when needed, like cells in a living body.

🎮Although this futuristic vision never fully took off, the #Metabolist Movement pushed boundaries on how we think about cities and #architecture.🤌
