🩸The Ukrainian command, expecting a repeat offensive by the RF Armed Forces on #Kharkov and #Chernigov, is reinforcing the grouping of troops in the north and northeast of #Ukraine in the areas bordering the Russian Federation.

♦️#Kharkov Region:

▪️ Up to 500 mobilised units have arrived to replace those departing for the #Svatovo area. In addition, personnel from the #Javorovsky training ground are expected to arrive in #Liptsy, #Volokhovka and #Yefremovka in the third decade of January.

▪️ Units of the 40th Artillery Brigade of the AFU continue shelling cities and towns in #Russia's #Belgorod Region. Priority is given to energy infrastructure and artillery and SAM positions.

▪️ Targeting is provided by AFU sabotage teams, which conduct reconnaissance of Russian positions in the #Belgorod region using copters and commercial UAVs. Bayraktar drones have also resumed their activity from #Chuguev airfield.

♦️#Chernigov and #Kiev Regions:

▪️ Up to 2,800 troops were noted to have been moved as part of a reinforcement of the AFU defensive grouping in case of a possible Russian offensive.

▪️ Personnel are deployed to settlements near the borders with #Russia and #Belarus, including Novgorod-Siversky, #Semyonovka, #Karpovichi and #Progress. Some of the mobilised were sent to the #Desna and #Goncharovskoye training grounds.

In the afternoon, the RF Armed Forces launched the first massive missile strike of the new year against targets in #Ukraine. The munitions hit energy and industrial infrastructure facilities in different parts of the country.

Certain reports of explosions in one region or another were the sound of Ukrainian air defences trying to intercept Russian missiles flying across the country. At this point, hits in the following areas of the country are more or less reliably known:

▪️#Kharkov: a total of four strikes hit an energy infrastructure facility and an industrial plant. Two of the hits hit the area around Losevo station, where the KHARTSYZSK PIPE plant is located. The city partially lost power and water supply and the underground was shut down.

▪️#Zaporozhye: missiles landed on one of the industrial enterprises in the city. The hit has been confirmed by the regional administration.

▪️#Odessa: explosions were heard in the residential area of Kotovsky, as well as around #Dachnoye and #Usatovo. Electric transport has been stopped in the city.

▪️#Lvov: local authorities reported hitting an energy infrastructure facility.

▪️#Dnepropetrovsk: explosions, electricity and water completely lost in one district. Communication problems have begun in the city.

▪️#Nikolaev: explosions in the region.

Emergency blackouts have been preventively carried out in #Kiev and #Odessa oblasts. After the first reports of strikes, similar measures were taken in Ivano-Frankovsk, #Zaporozhye and #Zhytomyr regions.

Information has surfaced on the web about a hit on the territory of a railway station in #Kiev. However, it is highly probable that the explosion clouds from the arrival were mistaken for smoke from a steam locomotive, which the local regime uses on the railways amid power shortages.

♦️At the time of the raid in #Dnepropetrovsk, a house in the Salyut housing estate was hit. Exactly what caused it is not yet known: it could have been an intercepted cruise missile that went off course, or it could have been a consequence of Ukrainian air defence work.

The Russian Armed Forces also struck facilities in occupied Kherson. Following the arrivals, there were light problems in the vicinity of the Fregat Hotel in the centre.

As in previous recent massive strikes, Russian forces used decoys to identify Ukrainian air defence positions. This also allowed them to "defuse" enemy SAMs before the cruise missiles arrived.

▪️ Up to 100 men of the 134th Battalion from 103rd and 114th Territorial Defence Brigades in small groups of ten men each, reinforced by two tanks of the AFU's 92nd Mechanized Brigade launched an offensive on #Novoselovskoye from southwest of the locality at 07:00 on 19 January.

The AFU reached the railway station and is currently waiting for reinforcements to continue the offensive against #Kuzemovka from the northwest. The village itself has been in a "grey zone" for the past weeks, whith both Russian and Ukrainian reconnaissance teams active.

➖ A company of the AFU's 92nd Mechanized Brigade on six armoured vehicles and a group of Ukrainian Forces of Special Operations are being moved to #Novoselovskoye to reinforce the advancing grouping.

▪️ Artillerymen of the RF Armed Forces are firing at the rear positions of the AFU. Reconnaissance and sabotage groups operating almost along the entire front from #Kamenka to #Kolomyychikha provide target acquisition.

♦️#Liman Section:

▪️ The AFU is preparing for an offensive in certain areas. A Tank Battalion of the AFU"s 66th Mechanized Brigade from #Ochertino in the DPR (up to 160 men and 20 tanks) is expected to arrive in #Izyumskoye by 20 January.

▪️ As part of the preparation, combined assault detachments of the Ukrainian airborne assault forces' 25th Separate Airborne Brigade, the 80th and 95th Separate Air Assault Brigades, with up to 80 men on 5-6 armored fighting vehicles, plan to conduct reconnaissance battles near #Dibrova and at the #Torskoye - #Terny line.

▪️ In addition, the 2nd and 3rd Battalions of the AFU's 77th Airmobile Brigade will be moved to the #Starobelsk direction after being re-staffed at the #Perlyavka training ground in the #Zhytomyr region. 💥 Russian forces have once again struck various infrastructure facilities on the territory of #Ukraine.

The missile attack the night before was preceded by active work of Russian kamikaze drones Geran-2. Apparently, the RF Armed Forces, in addition to direct strikes, were identifying the enemy's air defence positions in this way.

♦️ So far we have been able to gather the following information about the results of the firing:

🔹 #Odessa: The Novoodesskaya 330 and Usatovo 330 substations near the city have been hit again. Water and electricity supplies are partially missing in Odessa, with local authorities announcing long periods of power cuts.

🔹 #Kiev: The Russian Armed Forces hit an unnamed facility in the city's Goloseevsky district. Some representatives of the Ukrainian authorities believe that the strikes were carried out by ballistic missiles.

🔹 #Kiev region: Information was widely circulated on the web suggesting that the Kiev hydroelectric power plant might have been hit, but there is no confirmation. At the same time, the local administration has confirmed a hit on one of the energy facilities in the region.

➖ In the morning, strikes on enemy facilities in #Kharkov continued, with local authorities reporting power outages in several districts of the city and region.
➖ There were reports of delays in the underground and problems with the internet in the city.

▪️ #Zaporozhye: the target of the 👉 strike was the 1st engine room of the #Dnieper hydroelectric power plant.

💥 Russian forces launched massive missile strikes against critical infrastructure in #Ukraine overnight.

The list of assets used in the attack was significantly expanded. The RF Armed Forces used kamikaze drones, cruise missiles, and even the Kinzhal hypersonic system.

🔹What is known by this Hour?

▪️ #Kiev: The engine room and boiler room of CHPP-5, a major generating station in the capital, have been hit. Combined with other hits, there have been significant power and communication problems in the city.

The facility has previously been targeted by Russian forces more than once, but the plant continued to operate. That said, if the RF Armed Forces manage to take out at least a few turbines and boilers, power generation will be significantly reduced.

▪️ #Kharkov: at least fifteen explosions were heard in the city. According to some reports, the operation of CHPP-3 and CHPP-5 was shut down. Local residents reported power and water supply outages, communication and heating problems.

▪️ #Dnepropetrovsk region: a series of explosions were heard in Pavlograd, Krivoy Rog and Dnipropetrovsk districts. According to preliminary reports, the targets of the attacks in the Krivoy Rog district could be the Krivoy Rog thermal power plant and the Yuzhnaya 330 substation.

▪️ #Zhytomyr region: the Zhytomyr 330 substation was allegedly hit: the regional centre was partially de-energised, about 150,000 subscribers were left without power.

▪️ #Volyn region: citizens heard powerful explosions in #Lutsk and #Kivertsy. The blow was so powerful that some residents of #Kivertsy reported that their houses were shaking.

There is an oil depot, an airfield and the Lutsk-North 330 substation, as well as military facilities in the #Lutsk area.

▪️ #Vinnitsa region: powerful explosions were heard in the region. Facilities at the Ladyzhyn TPP may have been hit again.

▪️ #Kirovograd region: local residents reported sounds of explosions in Kropivnitsky district and emergency power outages. The target of the attack in the region could have been the Ukrainka 330 substation.

▪️ #Odessa region: local authorities said a power facility in the region was hit. Among the possible targets of the strikes are the Adzhalyk 330 substation, Novoodesskaya 330 substation, Usatovo 330 substation and Tsentrolit 220 substation.

▪️ #Sumy region: one of the buildings of the Chemical Products Research Institute in Shostka was probably hit.

▪️ #Zaporozhye region: Local authorities reported that an energy facility in the region was hit.

▪️ Ivano-Frankovsk region: hit an unknown energy infrastructure facility.

▪️ Local residents also reported the sounds of explosions in #Lvov, #Kherson, #Khmelnytsky, #Nikolayev, #Ternopil, #Rivne, #Cherkasy and #Chernigov regions.

▪️ After the strikes, Ukrainian Railways reported train delays of up to an hour due to power supply problems. Several trains are delayed by almost four hours.

📌 Today's Wave of strikes was the most massive this year. Among the known targets are critical to the functioning of power plants are engine rooms.

The precise hits caused significant power supply problems in several regions of the country, which, however, were restored within hours.

The largest disruption in power supply to the contact line network was in central #Ukraine. Large interruptions were recorded near #Podilsk (#Odessa region) and #Odessa, as well as small ones near #Lvov and in the Carpathian passes.

In addition, local authorities have once again preventively switched off power before the raid, but this is also causing significant damage to the power system, undermining its stability.

Despite the lack of immediate results, such attacks are increasingly destabilising Ukraine's energy infrastructure, leaving hopes of its disintegration and disruption of railways and industry.

🔹#Russia's Border Areas:

▪️ In the #Bryansk region, Ukrainian terrorist formations shelled the village of #Rakovka. A dwelling house and a farm building were damaged.
➖ Russian air defence forces intercept an enemy drone near the village of #Navlya with no casualties or damage.

▪️ In the #Belgorod region, the AFU terrorists struck the outskirts of #Shebekino town. Residential buildings have been hit, civilians were not harmed.

🔹#Starobelsk Direction:

▪️ There are no significant changes on the frontline. Artillery duels and position fighting continue along the line of contact.

🔹#Soledar (#Bakhmut) Direction:

▪️ Wagner PMC units are leading an offensive towards #Bogdanovka, continuing to close the encirclement ring around #Bakhmut.
➖ The enemy responds by attempting counterattacks to maintain a ground corridor out of the city.

▪️ Russian forces evacuate civilians from liberated neighbourhoods in eastern #Bakhmut. The enemy terrorists are shelling the lost areas without regard for the lives of the townspeople.

▪️ In the south of #Bakhmut, the Wagnerian assault units are engaged in the most intense fighting. At the same time, Russian artillery is targeting enemy positions at the intersection of Korsunsky and Tchaikovsky streets.

🔹#Donetsk Direction:

▪️ Units of the Russian Armed Forces continue the operation to encircle the #Avdeyevka fortified area.
➖ Russian forces expand their zone of control near the village of #Vesyoloye and fight near the #Krasnogorovka pond.
➖ South of #Avdeyevka, the RF Armed Forces, supported by artillery, are advancing towards the village of #Severnoye.

▪️ Artillery duels continue along the entire line of contact. Russian forces hit enemy concentrations in #Kherson, #Zelenovka and #Antonovka.

Yesterday the RF Armed Forces struck the Zhytomyr 330 substation. In the pictures from the scene of the incident, it can be seen that the 330/110kV autotransformers were hit, and the blast wave hit the outbuildings. In autumn this substation had already been 👉 a target: at that time one autotransformer was destroyed.

Thus, at least two of the three autotransformers were hit. The last one, with a capacity of 200 MVA, is responsible for supplying power to the city of Zhytomyr, and it does not have enough capacity to provide a stable supply of electricity.

Also, in parallel, power engineers are trying to transfer power to the city via 110kV lines from Shepetovka 330 and Kazatin 330 substations, but the capacity of these lines is limited. The expected period of the blackout is up to two weeks.

💥 Russian Forces launched a massive kamikaze drone strike against targets in Ukraine this evening.

🎯 Targets have been hit in #Novomoskovsk in #Dnepropetrovsk region, #Konstantinovka, #Dnepropetrovsk and #Kiev region. Explosions have also been reported in #Zhytomyr, #Rovno, #Khmelnytsky and #Volyn region.

🔹#Starobelsk (#Svatovo) Direction (MAP}:

▪️ In the #Kupyansk sector, Russian troops took control of several enemy strongholds near #Gryanikovka.
➖ Ukrainian commanders withdrew units to the right bank of the #Oskol River.
➖ The AFU is redeploying fresh units to the #Khatnoye - #Olkhovatka and #Petropavloka - #Sinkovka lines.

▪️ Russian forces managed to seize enemy strongholds near Balka Zhuravka in the #Liman sector.
➖ Near #Kremennaya, fighters of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division were able to advance west from #Chervonopopovka, expanding their zone of control.

🔹#Soledar (#Bakhmut) Direction:

▪️ In the #Lisichansk sector, Ukrainian formations are conducting a partial evacuation of the population, expecting a Russian offensive soon.

➖ In the afternoon, missile weapons struck industrial facilities in #Zaporozhye.

▪️ From Sevastopol in the morning, air defence forces were reported to be operating against aerial targets, as well as countering enemy maritime drones. The city's bay entrances were blocked.

▪️ South of #Kremennaya near #Belogorovka, active operations of the Russian Army were reported.

▪️ In the #Avdeyevka direction of the RF Armed Forces, there are battles in the previously achieved lines.
➖ A very limited amount of artillery ammunition was reported from one of the sectors in this direction, and therefore the support of the advancing infantry is weak.

▪️ In #Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) heavy fighting continues. The Wagner PMCs have advanced into the city from the north and south.
➖ Fighting has intensified to the north of the city in the direction of the road to #Seversk.

🔵 The AFU dropped an improvised explosive device from a UAV on the Druzhba oil pipeline (Novozybkov refinery) in the #Bryansk region. The village of Klimovo was shelled.

▪️ The AFU shelled the village of Nizhnyaya Duvanka in the Svatovsky district of the LPR from 155mm guns, destroying the State Fire and Rescue Post of the LPR Ministry of Emergency Situations.

▪️ On the DNR the enemy fired 161 rounds. #Golmovka, #Gorlovka, #Panteleymonovka, #Donetsk, #Makeyevka, #Alexandrovka came under fire. Six civilians were wounded.

In the course of a night strike, the RF Armed Forces hit an object in the #Zhytomyr region. Judging by photo and video footage, the target of the strike was the Record oil storage facility north of #Zhytomyr.

It is highly probable that the Geran-2 kamikaze drone hit one of the tanks and a large fire broke out at the site of the arrival. According to foreign journalists, the fire could not be extinguished throughout the day.

This is at least the second blow to Ukrainian fuel and energy infrastructure lately: last week Russian troops also 👉 attacked a storage facility in #Novomoskovsk in the #Dnepropetrovsk region.

▪️ In the #Bryansk region, the enemy struck the village of #Demyanki, damaging a warehouse of an agricultural enterprise and an administrative building.

🔹#Soledar (#Bakhmut) Direction:

▪️ In the #Lisichansk sector, Russian troops expanded their zone of control near #Verkhnekamenskoye in the course of the offensive.

▪️ Northwest of #Bakhmut in Orekhovo-Vasilyevka, there are no changes to the front line. Fighting is taking place in the centre of the settlement, from which the enemy has not yet been able to be driven out.

▪️ In #Bakhmut, fierce fighting continues in all parts of the town: Fighters of the Wagner PMCs control about 70% of the city.

▪️ To the southwest, Russian aviation and artillery inflict fire damage on the reserves coming from #Konstantinovka, which are trying to unblock the #Bakhmut - #Konstantinovka highway.

🔹#Donetsk Direction:

▪️ In the #Avdeyevka sector, Russian units are consolidating on the occupied lines and preparing for a further offensive.

▪️ The enemy terrorists once again fired indiscriminately at #Donetsk. A Tochka-U rocket was fired at the city, destroying a water supply building and School No 87 in the Petrovsky district.
➖ #Dokuchayevsk, #Gorlovka, Shirokaya Balka and #Vodyanoye were also hit. Six people were wounded and more than ten houses and civilian facilities were damaged.

🔹#Zaporozhye Direction, #Orekhov Section (MAP):

▪️ Ukrainian formations during an attack on Russian positions managed to partially consolidate in the village of #Novodanilovka south of #Orekhov, taking control of half of the settlement. After regrouping, a further offensive deep into the Russian defence is expected.
➖ The enemy is moving UAV operator units and heavy western armoured vehicles to the #Orekhov area, accumulating a strike fist in this direction.

🔹#Kherson Direction on #SouthFront:

▪️ The RF Armed Forces fired on the accumulation of AFU personnel and equipment in #Antonovka, #Gavrilovka, #Veseloye, #Kherson and #Dneprovskoye.

🔹 Tankers of the Southern Military District @tankistrossii100 report that in the centre of #Maryinka, Russian fighters managed to break the AFU defence near Druzhba Avenue and knocked out from two blocks along Polygraphic and Kashtanova streets. Low-rise buildings in the western part of the city remained under the control of Ukrainian formations.

▪️ On the southern outskirts, Russian servicemen supported by artillery are storming the positions of the Ukrainian 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade near the territories of Gorgaz and the Wood Processing Plant.

▪️ Losses of the 79th AFU Brigade over the past few days amounted to 33 militants killed. Reinforcements as well as ammunition have been transferred from #Zhytomyr to replenish them.

▪️ Ukrainian paratroopers are actively using small copters with a grenade-dropping system, as well as FPV drones to strike Russian positions.
