⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦🛤 @Rybar's Analysis: What is the State of #Ukraine's Railway System after 9 Months of the #SMO⚡️

Throughout the Special Military Operation, Rybar's team has repeatedly stressed the importance of disabling Ukraine's railway system (railway bridges in the west, lists of traction substations, substations at the border with #Poland, lists of depots and recovery trains), and bridges across the #Dnipro River.

Firing at all the above facilities is critical to cutting the connection between the left and right bank. Since the #Dnipro River has been turned into a natural dividing barrier by the decision of Sergei Surovikin, Commander-in-Chief of the Self-Defence Forces, and Russian troops are building defences on the left bank, it is highly logical to cut off all communication between the banks and cut off the supply of the enemy grouping in #Donbass and along the border with #Russia.

♦️What is the State of the Ukrainian Railway Network now?

▪️ Railway infrastructure facilities, despite intense fighting, are not subjected to not just massive but even sporadic strikes. This allows the enemy to ensure the uninterrupted transfer of armed forces and their supplies along the entire line of contact.

And isolated single strikes on troop loading/unloading points have no effect on this situation.

▪️ The volume of passenger traffic has hardly decreased. In fact, passenger traffic from the frontline towns continues: trains from #Kramatorsk are still running and passenger rail traffic to #Kherson and #Izyum has been re-established.

▪️ The volume of freight traffic has declined due to general problems with the Ukrainian economy and the shutdown of many industrial enterprises. Mostly fuel, coal and grain are transported.

The reduction in traffic has led to the emergence of a general reserve of locomotives (primarily electric locomotives), with which it is possible to reinforce the required transport direction if necessary.

♦️ What about Strikes on Energy Facilities?

Although there are no strikes on traction substations, this is more than compensated for by general strikes on the energy system. Entire lines are de-energized.

And shocks to the energy system also have a negative impact on road blocking systems, communications, maintenance, outfitting and repair facilities.

But railway workers have been able to adapt. At major stations with electrified railways, a reserve of diesel locomotives has been created. This helps minimize delays in case of breaks in the contact network. On direct current sections, diesel locomotive-electric locomotive units are used, which makes it possible to significantly reduce transport time.

♦️ What about the Condition of the Bridges?

Railway bridges over major rivers continue to function. Except for the rendering inoperable of the Antonovsky, Daryevsky and Kakhovskaya HPP bridges during retreat from #Kherson and undermining of bridges during retreat from #Kupyansk, #Izyum and #Lyman, none of the priority bridges have been struck since July.

So far the AFU has not rebuilt any bridges in #Cherkassy, near #Nikolaev at #Trikhaty village, in #Zatoka and #Voskresensk. So it is possible to put them out of action.

🩸The Picture does not look Very Good, does it?

The railways remain operational and continue to successfully manage transportation for both national economy and military purposes. There has been no systemic impact on the railway infrastructure for almost half a year now.

The only negative impacts experienced during transport are solely related to power strikes, but these are so far surmountable. With a shortage of high-precision missiles and no bomber aviation capability, the number of targets is extremely limited.

Footage of a drone attack by the Russian Armed Forces on a railway bridge in #Zatoka, #Odessa region, has surfaced on the net.

It is difficult to speak about the extent of the damage based on the available footage, but it appears to have damaged the piers of the bridge.

This is the only railway bridge that leads to the western part of the #Odessa region directly through Ukrainian territory. The alternative shortest route is the road, which runs for almost 8km through Moldovan territory.

📌 Previously, Russian troops have repeatedly struck the site and the very fact of the attack is not out of the ordinary.

🔹#Russia's Border Areas:

▪️ In Sunzhensky district of #Kursk region, Ukrainian terrorist formations shelled the village of #Guevo, killing one civilian and injuring another.

▪️ The Ukrainian terrorist forces struck the village of #Murom, Yakovlevsky district, Novaya Tavolzhanka and #Shebekino in the #Belgorod region.
➖ Several industrial and farm buildings were damaged but no casualties were sustained.

🔹#Kharkov Region:

🔹#Starobelsk Direction (MAP):

➖ Furthermore, units of the RF Armed Forces retook several strongholds in the area of #Sinkovka and established a foothold in #Liman 1.
➖ Ukrainian formations are expecting a renewed Russian offensive on #Kupyansk and are concentrating forces in the vicinity of the town.

▪️ In the #Liman direction, the AFU fears strikes at the pontoon-bridge crossings in the #Makeyevka - #Terny - #Yampolovka section. In such a case, the fighters of the AFU's 66th Mechanized Brigade and the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade can get surrounded.
➖ The same brigades suffered heavy losses during the attack of the Russian Armed Forces' 144th Motorized Rifle Division in the area of Balka Zhuravka and #Yampolovka.
➖ The enemy command withdraws the 66th Mechanized Brigade to #Liman and #Kramatorsk to restore combat capability.

🔹#Soledar (#Bakhmut) Direction (MAP1); (MAP2):

▪️ North of #Bakhmut, Wagner PMC fighters have liberated the village of Krasnaya Gora. The "Wagnerians" are now clearing the settlement.
➖ The Russian forces managed to cut off the #Bakhmut - #Slavyansk road, and now the main task is to take #Berkhovka and secure the northern outskirts of Bakhmut.

🔹Ukrainian formations are increasing their presence in the border areas of #Kharkov and #Sumy regions, while simultaneously settling out civilians. This may indicate the preparation of a largescale provocation or even an attempted offensive in the #Kursk, #Bryansk or #Belgorod regions.

🔹 Along the entire frontline fighting of variable intensity is taking place. The RF Armed Forces are advancing by fighting in the area of #Kupyansk. In turn, on the flanks of #Bakhmut, the AFU are trying to gnaw through the defences. The #Ugledar section has become more active. In #Kherson and #Zaporozhye regions there is a relative decline in the enemy's activity. In the meantime, the enemy does not stop transferring reinforcements.

🗓 On the night of 4 September, units of the Ukrainian GUR and Forces of Special Operation once again attempted to land near Cape #Tarkhankut in #Crimea. Only unlike previous attacks, the SRGs slightly changed their route. Five boats with personnel left from the area of #Zatoka instead of #Vilkovo.

🔹 By midnight, the enemy reconnaissance teams had passed by the Golitsynskaya Gas Production Plant and headed towards the peninsula. At that moment, a Tekever UAV from #Snigirevka was already operating south of #Tarkhankut, providing guidance and escort for Willard-type boats.

▪️ The units of the 31st Division of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Russian Army first shot down the Portuguese-made drone with a Pantsir missile defense system, leaving the Ukrainian SRG of the GUR without eyes, and then the aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet naval aviation were lifted into the air.

▪️ The Ukrainian boats turned round and moved back towards #Zatoka. The first three boats were detected by a Su-24M bomber 43 km northwest of Tarkhankut, where four RBK-500 cluster bombs were dropped on them. The boats sank with the people on board.

▪️ The fourth was at that moment west of the gas-producing situation. A Russian Su-30SM aircraft dropped two RBK-500 bombs on it. The fifth boat managed to reach the Ukrainian coast and return to #Zatoka.

💬 As we said 👉 earlier, the Ukrainian authorities will continue PR sorties to the peninsula, despite the suicidal nature of such actions. The successful attack on the S-300 air defence systems and the landing at #Olenevka seemed to be beneficial for the AFU command in terms of information, so no one is going to reckon with the losses.

❗️Russian seamen and air defence units were able to detect and destroy the threat even before approaching #Crimea without the slightest problem. The level of Russian servicemen has multiplied over the 1 1/2 years of the SMO.

📌 And yes, such a sortie on the day of negotiations on the grain deal shows quite clearly that it is definitely not worth negotiating any kind of settlement in the Black Sea with the Ukrainian side.

🗓 Yesterday at around 21:00, at least six boats with personnel from Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence and Special Operations Forces moved out of #Zatoka in the direction of #Crimea, once again intending to land on Cape #Tarkhankut.

🔹But their plans were not destined to come true. A Su-24M naval aviation bomber was immediately sent in their direction and dropped four RBK-500PTAB-1M cluster bombs with antitank cumulative elements on a group of boats southeast of #Zatoka.

☠️ As a result, three enemy watercraft immediately went to the bottom with the landing party, and the rest turned around and departed in the direction of #Vilkovo, where they returned by midnight, bypassing Snake Island.

🔹At 03:00 on 10 September, the AFU tried to hit military facilities on #Tarkhankut with strike drones, but the attack was repelled. Units of the 31st Air Force and Air Defence Division shot down eight drones: two were destroyed by Pantsir, four by rifle squads, and two more were suppressed by electronic warfare.

❗️The enemy probably intended to combine the #Tarkhankut sortie with the UAV raid. The boats would have approached the Crimean coast just in time for the drones to arrive, which would have had a better effect. But Russian servicemen once again successfully repelled the attack.

📌 The sortie should have taken place on Friday, 8 September. At that time, SRGs on boats were sent to Snake Island, from where they were supposed to head towards #Crimea. However, the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces struck with several FABs, hitting a cluster of GUR and Special Forces and thwarting the enemy's plans.

🎯 During the night, for three hours, the RFAF carried out Geranium UAV strikes against enemy targets in the #Odessa and #Nikolayev regions. Explosions were reported near #Zatoka in the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky district and in #Ochakov.

🔹In the #Kharkov region, the creation of a buffer zone continues. Our troops are advancing with heavy fighting towards #Liptsy and in #Volchansk. There is a constant fire attack with heavy weapons, more and more footage of Ukrainian prisoners is appearing.

🔹From the #Seversk sector, footage of our heavy flamethrower systems striking #Belogorovka has been widely circulated,👇with a number of sources reporting successes there.

🔹Near #ChasovYar's eastern outskirts, the RFAF are expanding their zone of control by digging into the built-up area. To the south, in #Kleshcheyevka, the RFAF are using tanks with "supermangals" to deliver assault groups. A fresh video has emerged of our flag being planted in the village.

🔹On the southern flank of the #Pokrovskoye direction (west of #Avdeyevka), the assault on the western part of #Netaylovo is being completed. It was reported about the retreat of enemy units towards #Karlovka. The RFAF are attacking the positions of the AFU south of the locality.

🔹In the #SouthDonetsk (#Ugledar) direction, the RFAF advanced to #Paraskoviyevka from #Novomikhaylovka. In the western part of #Paraskoviyevka our flag is set up.

🔹In the #Kherson direction, the AFU used a drone boat with mounted rockets on the Kinburn Spit. Having made a strike from a distance of at least 5 km, the marine drone left the area. The situation indicates an increasing threat to our facilities along the entire Black Sea coast. In the floodplain of the #Dnieper River, the actions of our groups on the islands continue, the enemy shore is more often hit with precision munitions, destroying UAV operator sites. Information is confirmed about the transfer of some units of the AFU Marines to the #Kharkov direction, where enemy Marines, replenished with mobilised soldiers, almost from the march entered the battle.

💥In the #Belgorod region, the AFU struck #Dolgoye in the Valuysky urban district, the settlements of Novaya Tavolzhanka, #Krasnoye, #Voznesenovka, #Rzhevka and #Murom in the Shebekinsky urban district. #Shebekino was shelled. A car was attacked on the road between the settlements of #Ustinka and Yasnye Zori, Belgorod district, a woman was injured. A moving passenger car was attacked by a kamikaze drone near the checkpoint of the #Oktyabrsky settlement in the Belgorod district; a woman was killed and three men were wounded. In the Borisov district in the village of #Zozuli, windows in two private houses were blown out as a result of an explosive device drop. Another drone fell near a residential house and detonated. A kamikaze drone also fell and exploded at the exit from #Gruzskoye village. Over the course of the day, several UAVs of the AFU aircraft type were shot down.

💥In the #Bryansk region, two kamikaze drones attacked the vehicles of an agricultural enterprise in the Starodubsky municipal district; no casualties were reported.

💥As a result of Nazi strikes on #Donetsk, one civilian was killed and four were wounded.
