♦️On New Year's Eve, the opposing sides decided to take a relative tactical pause. In the #Kherson direction, Russian troops traditionally launched an artillery strike against the regional centre. A missile strike was launched against #Nikolaev. The AFU "remained silent". (Fig. 1)

♦️In the #Zaporozhye direction, however, the Ukrainian army already fired missiles at #Tokmak. Russian troops on the ground tried to advance near #Dorozhnyanka (village itseself is taken). (Fig. 2).

♦️On the #Donetsk front, the picture does not change. The Russian army is once again attacking in the direction of #Novomikhailovka. Street fighting continues in #Maryinka. Also, the RF Armed Forces with persistence, but without much success are again trying to advance towards #Nevelskoye, #Pervomayskoye and from #Opytnoye. They have also launched another offensive in the #Kamenka area. They want to bypass the AFU stronghold in #Avdeyevka from the north and establish control over a section of the N-20 highway. (Fig. 3)

♦️South of #Bakhmut, the Wagner PMC is trying to break the AFU defence from #Kurdyumovka and #Ozaryanovka. It is also attacking #Kleshchiyevka and trying to regain positions on the eastern outskirts of the city itself. To the south of #Soledar, the Wagner PMC is again attacking #Bakhmutskoye. And to the north it seeks to advance from #Yakovlevka and local #Belogorovka. (Fig.4)

♦️In the north, the Russian army attacks to the east of the city. On #Rozdolovka and #Spornoye. (Fig. 5)

♦️In the #Zaporozhye sector, the RF Armed Forces struck #Stepnoye, #Shcherbaki, #Novoandreyevka, #Orekhov, #Zheleznodorozhnoye, and #Olgovka. The AFU launched strikes on #Vasilyevka. Explosions also occurred in #Berdyansk. (Fig. 2)

♦️On the #Donetsk front, street fighting in #Maryinka continues unabated. Most of the town is under the control of Russian troops. They also attacked the AFU stronghold in #Krasnogorovka again. Another attempt to move on #Nevelskoye and #Pervomayskoye. Rocket fire by the AFU on #Makeyevka. More than 60 Russian servicemen were killed. (Fig. 3)

♦️To the south of #Bakhmut, the Wagner PMCs again attacked from the direction of #Ozaryanovka. Slightly to the north, there is an attempt to advance towards #Kleshchiyevka and near #Opytnoye. The AFU are holding their ground. Counterattacks continue on the eastern outskirts of #Bakhmut itself. To the south of #Soledar, the Wagner PMC launched a ground attack towards Krasnaya Gora. There is a railway line there. The "orchestrators" also carried out assault actions near the local #Belogorovka and #Rozdolovka. (Fig. 4)

♦️In the #Lugansk direction, Russian forces also attacked another #Belogorovka. Much to the north, they again attempted to advance towards #Stelmakhovka. (Fig. 5)

♦️In the #Zaporozhye direction, the RF Armed Forces attempted to attack in the direction of Malye Shcherbaki and #Novodanilovka. #Orekhov itself was hit by artillery. (Fig. 2)

♦️On the #Donetsk front, counterattacks continue in the western part of #Maryinka. The Russian army is also attacking from the direction of #Vodyanoye. Artillery is firing at the AFU stronghold in #Avdeyevka. In turn, the Ukrainian army shelled #Donetsk and #Yasynuvataya. (Figure 3)

♦️Southwest of #Bakhmut, the Wagner PMC is conducting storming operations near #Predtechino, trying to cut off a section of the H-32 road leading to the city from #Konstantinovka. AFU artillery in the area is hitting #Kurdyumovka and #Kleshchiyevka. "Orchestrators" continue their attacks on the eastern outskirts of #Bakhmut itself, and just to the north in the area of #Yagodnoye. They are also gradually pushing through the defences of the Ukrainian garrison in Krasnaya Gora. To the north they try to advance near #Vasyukovka and #Rozdolovka. (Fig. 4)

♦️In the #Lugansk direction, Russian troops have the initiative in most areas. They attack near #Belogorovka, near #Chervonopopovka and #Ploshchanka. There are counterattacks near #Novoselovskoye. The day before, they tried to attack the AFU here in the direction of #Kuzyomovka. Now the situation has changed. The Ukrainian army is shelling #Kremennaya. (Fig. 5)

♦️In the #Zaporozhye direction, after yesterday's attempted offensive, Russian troops switched to shelling the front line of the AFU defence. #Kamenskoye*, #Orekhov, #Novodanilovka, Malaya Tokmachka, #Charovnoye, #Gulyaypole, Zelyony Gay and #Malinovka are under fire (Fig. 2)

♦️South of #Bakhmut, the Wagner PMCs were conducting an assault from the direction of #Opytnoye. The "orchestrators" are also attacking on the eastern outskirts of the city itself. The AFU is shelling #Kleshchiyevka en masse. The Wagner PMC is also storming Krasnaya Gora from the south and north. There is a slight advance in the latter direction. West of #Soledar, the "musicians" are attacking near #Blagodatnoye. And to the northeast towards #Rozdolovka and #Veseloye. Russian troops have again attempted to advance towards #Verkhnekamenskoye. ♦️In the #Kherson direction, Russian artillery hit the regional centre. Also under fire were AFU positions in #Antonovka, #Ingulets, #Burgunka, #Monastyrskoye, #Dudchany and #Gavrilovka. Ukrainian artillery was not particularly active. (Fig. 1)

♦️In the #Zaporozhye direction, the RF Armed Forces with the fire support of field guns and MLRS attacked near Malye Shcherbaki and #Novodanilovka. There is little progress. #Orekhov, Malaya Tokmachka and #Gulyaypole are also under artillery strikes. (Fig. 2)

♦️In the #Lugansk direction, Russian troops are trying to advance towards #Stelmakhovka. There are counterattacks in #Novoselovskoye. 🔹 From the #Kleshchiyevka side, the Wagner PMC is advancing towards #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye) and taking control of the heights. We shall remind you that one of the main supply lines of the AFU in the city passes through this settlement. This is a section of the H-32 #Konstantinovka - #Bakhmut highway.
🔹 North of the city, the Wagner PMC is attacking in the direction of #Yagodnoye from the direction of #Podgorodnoye and is having success. This settlement is an important railway junction. Thus #Bakhmut is gradually being covered from two sides.
🔹 North of #Soledar, the Wagner PMC advances on #Rozdolovka. A road and railway line also passes through this village.

🔹 In the #Ugledar Sector, Russian troops are trying to conduct offensives from the #Nikolskoye Dacha area. But their intensity has decreased manifold.
➖ However, artillery pressure on the enemy has increased. #Novopol, Zelenoye Pole, #Vremevka, Bolshaya Novosyolka, #Prechistovka, #Bogoyavlenka and #Ugledar itself are under fire. (Fig. 1)

🔹 On the #Donetsk Front, the RF Armed Forces, supported by artillery, again launched an attack near #Novomikhaylovka.
➖ They also conducted assault operations along the southern and northern outskirts of #Maryinka following fire attacks on the enemy. They managed to advance on the second of the aforementioned areas. It was already evident that the city had decided to take the ring.
➖ Russian artillery shelled #Pobeda, #Georgiyevka, #Krasnogorovka, #Nevelskoye, #Pervomayskoye, #Severnoye, #Avdeyevka and #Veseloye.

➖ Further to the north, however, Russian forces managed to establish control over #Gryanikovka. It is a village on the left bank of the #Oskol River on the road leading to #Dvurechnoye, a logistically important settlement on the right bank. Control over #Gryanikovka allows Russian troops to attack in a southerly direction towards #Kupyansk, a major stronghold of the AFU.
📌 However, this is only a prospect so far. The AFU defensive positions in this area are quite strong. (Fig. 5)
