The SEC accused Binance US of providing trading for securities such as #BNB, #BUSD, #SOL, #ADA, #MATIC, #FIL, #ATOM, #SAND, #MANA, #ALGO, #AXS, and #COTI.

The SEC emphasized that the listed tokens as securities in document are "including but not limited to."

However, the tokens with large trading volume such as #ETH #USDC #USDT #LTC are not included.

Previously, the chairman of the US SEC stated that cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin may have securities attributes.

The first component of the partnership involves a $50 million ALGO token purchase agreement to, in part, provide liquidity into the Algorand ecosystem.

The SEC informed Binance that it intends to seek leave to amend its Complaint, including “Third Party Crypto Asset Securities” as defined in the Motion to Dismiss, Dkt. No. 172, obviating the need for the Court to issue a ruling as to the sufficiency of the allegations as to those tokens at this time.

The SEC sued #Binance, defining #SOL, #ADA, #MATIC, #FIL, #ATOM, #SAND, #MANA, #ALGO, #AXS, and #COTI as securities. This amendment may change these definitions.
