Clashes broke out between fans of the Turkish and Georgian national teams before their match in the finals of the European Football Championship (Euro 2024), held in Germany, which ended with Turkey winning 3-1.

The clashes took place at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund before the opening match of Group Six (F).

Fans threw water bottles and other materials at each other, and some of them held hands in the dividing area in the stands.

The clashes continued for several minutes before the police intervened, broke up the gatherings, and returned the fans to their places in the stands.

The group witnessed a second match that took place on Tuesday, which ended with Portugal defeating the Czech Republic with a score of 0-2 at the “Red Bull Arena” in Leipzig.

The Dutch national team turned the tables on its Turkish counterpart and defeated it 2-1 in the match that took place on Saturday evening, to reserve its place in the semi-finals of the European Football Championship in Germany.

Turkey started the match strongly and took the lead in the 35th minute through a goal from Samit Akaydin ,Although the Turks advanced by a goal in the first half, the Netherlands team succeeded in returning to the match strongly in the second half, and defender Stefan de Vry scored the equalizer in the 70th minute.

In the 76th minute, the second goal for the Netherlands came in an unexpected way, as Turkish player Mert Muldor scored an own goal by mistake, granting qualification to the Dutch Windmills.

German media revealed a horrific rape incident committed by a member of the Albanian national team’s coaching staff during its participation in the European Cup (Euro 2024).

According to reports, the incident occurred in the hotel where the Albanian delegation was staying, where the assailant forced a hotel employee to enter the dishwashing room and sexually assaulted her on June 23.

The incident was immediately reported to the police by one of the victim’s colleagues at the hotel, and the Dortmund Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that an investigation had been opened into the incident.

However, despite the serious charge, the defendant left German territory the next day after his country’s exit in the first round, without an arrest warrant being requested against him.
