Egyptian security services arrested mahraganat singer Essam Sasa after he killed a person by running over his car on the ring road in Giza governorate.

Preliminary investigations showed that Essam Sasa was driving his car on the ring road when he was surprised by a person crossing the road, and he could not avoid being run over by the man, then Sasa stopped and waited for the police to arrive.

Sasa was referred to the Public Prosecution, and a sample of his blood was withdrawn for forensic analysis to verify the extent of his drug use while driving, and the car was impounded and examined by an expert in the General Directorate of Traffic.

For their part, the security authorities denied the statements of the business manager of the Mahraganat singer, who claimed that Essam Sasa stopped after seeing another car hitting the deceased, and that she has accurate information about the incident.

18 girls died and 9 others were injured after a microbus sank in the southern Egyptian governorate of Giza carrying female workers while crossing the Nile using a ferry, on Tuesday morning.

The Egyptian authorities had received a report of the sinking of a bus containing a group of girls between the ages of 17 and 25, who were on their way to work on a farm.

Security services, river rescue forces and ambulances headed to the scene of the incident, where a security cordon was imposed to facilitate the recovery of victims.

The accident occurred after an argument between the driver and a young man over the harassment of one of the girls, which led to the driver leaving the microbus without securing it with hand brakes, causing it to slide into the waters of the Nile.

The Governor of Giza, Major General Ahmed Rashid, is following up on the health status of the injured and tasked the concerned authorities with providing the necessary health care and disbursing urgent subsidies to the families of the injured and the deceased.

The Libyan Red Crescent Society team recovered 14 decomposed bodies in the neighborhood (720) of Giza Al-Bahariya in the city of Sirte during operations to remove destroyed buildings.

After receiving a report from the local authorities in the city of Sirte about the presence of bodies in the Giza Bahariya area, teams from the Libyan Red Crescent Sirte Branch headed to the site after completing all legal procedures.

The teams scanned the entire area in search of any possible bodies in the neighborhood, which was completely destroyed during the 2016 war, and 14 decomposed bodies were found.

The team numbered the bodies and placed them in their own bags, then transported them to Ibn Sina Hospital in Sirte to complete the related procedures and take DNA samples for each body to determine the victims’ identities.

Yesterday, Monday, the General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons announced the discovery of a new mass grave in the Campo neighborhood in Giza Bahariya in the Libyan city of Sirte.

The authority stated on its official Facebook page that the specialized teams were able to extract 24 unidentified bodies from the site.

In a related context, the Authority reported that its teams also recovered 17 bodies from under the rubble of demolished buildings inside the Campo neighborhood, and DNA samples were taken from 59 unidentified bodies, after they were examined by the Authority’s Forensic Medicine Department.

The authority indicated that after completing all legal and legal procedures, the recovered bodies were buried in the Aburweila cemetery in the city of Sirte.

Hamza Tamer, a member of the boxing team at the Egyptian Tersana Club, lost his life after drowning in the club’s swimming pool during a recovery session.

The young player was immediately transferred to Imbaba General Hospital, where all attempts to save him failed, and he passed away due to cardiac arrest resulting from “drowning asphyxia”, according to the health inspector’s report.
