The Egyptian security services in the Assiut Security Directorate are intensifying their efforts to uncover the mystery behind the incident of finding the body of a slaughtered child, dumped among the crops of the village of Al-Hammamiya, affiliated with the Badari Center.

According to the “Cairo 24” website, the incident began with the Assiut Security Directorate receiving a notification from the Badari Police Station, stating that a report had been received from the people in the village of Al-Hammamiya, that the body of a 7-year-old child had been found, slaughtered, with his hands amputated, and dumped among the crops.

Egyptian content presenter, Sandra Fares, surprised her followers by announcing her intention to sue Facebook, after the platform placed a sign announcing her death on her accounts without careful verification.

Fares provides content about fashion and travel and is followed by thousands on various social media platforms.

Fares said in a video she posted on Instagram that she was surprised that a “deceased” badge appeared on her Facebook accounts while she was on a plane and traveling outside the country.

She explained that she did not know who had submitted a document to Facebook alleging her death, stressing that she was not interested in knowing the perpetrator, and said: “I have no idea who did this, or who presented forged papers.”

She indicated that her family was terrified after this accident, especially since she was on the plane for a full 4 hours, and they were not able to contact her.

An official source at the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company revealed on Sunday that the duration of the daily power cut, or what the government calls “load shedding,” has been increased to three hours instead of two hours.

The village of Al-Shein in Gharbia Governorate witnessed a hideous tragedy, as a young man suffering from psychological disorders slaughtered his mother, sister, and brother in their home, according to what local authorities reported.

It was reported that the young man, who works as a lawyer and is 29 years old, committed the crime in Izbat Rustom in the village, where the residents discovered a foul odor emanating from the house, and they informed the authorities.

The bodies of the victims, who were the young man’s mother, sister, and younger brother, were transferred to the morgue at the disposal of the Public Prosecution to complete the necessary procedures, before handing them over to their families for prayer and burial.
