The Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (TAQADDUM) issued a warning on Friday of the danger of the disintegration of the Sudanese state in light of the continuing armed conflicts.

The coordination, headed by former Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, revealed in a statement a new initiative to stop the war, after meetings of its body in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.

The Coordination stressed that the war will only bring devastation, division, and destruction, and warned on the first anniversary of the outbreak of events in Sudan, of the devastating effects of the war, in addition to the specter of famine that threatens millions of Sudanese.

The leadership body for the coordination of civil democratic forces in Sudan chose two vice-presidents, Abdullah Hamdok, a rapporteur for the body, and a secretary-general of the coalition.

The leadership body was chosen during the founding conference held in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, after internal consultations led by Hamdok to complete the coalition institutions.

The leadership body chose Al-Hadi Idris and Hiyam Muhammad Bushra as vice-presidents, and Ashiri as rapporteur of the body, in addition to Siddiq Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi as Secretary-General of the coalition.

The coordination spokesman described these steps as being consistent with the selection of two vice-presidents, the body’s rapporteur, and the secretary-general.

The negotiating delegation of the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces held a meeting with the African Union Committee concerned with Sudan at the African Union headquarters in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.

The meeting was chaired by the High Representative of the African Union, Mohammed Ibn Chambas, and discussed the developments taking place in Sudan, especially the humanitarian situation in El Fasher, and the efforts made to stop the war and achieve peace and stability in the country.

The Rapid Support Forces delegation confirmed their full readiness for cooperation and coordination in order to deliver humanitarian aid to all those affected in Sudan.

The Ethiopian Minister of Innovation and Technology, Balt Mola, discussed with a delegation from “the China National Nuclear Power” Corporation Limited ways of possible cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear energy.

The Sudanese Civil Democratic Forces Coordination “Taqadum” has announced its decision to decline participation in the first phase of the political dialogue organized by the African Mechanism in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.

The General Secretariat of Coordination explained in a statement that they have information that confirms their concerns about the lack of transparency in the design of the meeting.

The statement pointed out that the meeting is controlled by elements of the former regime and “war forces,” which marginalizes and excludes the forces of peace and civil democratic transformation.

The coordination stated that this situation only leads to granting legitimacy to the war and its forces instead of achieving peace in Sudan.

The Oulala camp in the Amhara region of Ethiopia witnessed a new armed attack that killed two Sudanese refugees and injured about nine others, in the second attack in less than a week.

The attack occurred on Saturday after a similar attack three days ago, in which two Ethiopian policemen were killed and a number of refugees, including a child, were injured.

More than 6,000 Sudanese refugees live in difficult humanitarian conditions inside the “Oulala” forests, with the onset of autumn and rainfall, without providing any adequate protection.

Fears are rising about the continuation of armed attacks, as well as the environmental risks to which refugees are exposed.

Sources from inside the camp reported that an armed group attacked the camp and opened heavy fire, resulting in casualties.
