😍 When a woman has long and slim legs one can say:

Ноги от ушей
   [no-gi at u-shey]
   SLT: Legs from ears

🔻It means she has beautiful long legs which seem to start from a place above their usual one. It's a kind of a compliment.

Слабоумиe и отвага
  [sla-ba-u-mi-ye i  at-va-ga]
  Stupidity and courage

🔻Слабoумие = слабый ум
(weak mind). They used to say: 'Он слаб умом', which means that the person is not clever.

Origin:
The history of the creation of this expression is associated with the poet and playwright Alexander Griboedov. In his play "Горе от ума" (Woe from Wit) (1825), the hero Molchalin, addressing his opponents, utters the phrase: “Stupidity and courage, gentlemen!” This statement became so popular that it entered Russian literature and folk culture.

🔻"Слабоумие и отвага” is also a meme that appeared in the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet long ago. It symbolizes a combination of qualities that are very different, but sometimes go hand in hand. A meme can combine a variety of pairs of characteristics.

Чайный гриб
  [chay-nyj grip]

🔻Tea mushroom, (also Kombucha, tea fungus, or Manchurian mushroom) is a fermented, lightly effervescent, sweetened black tea drink.

🔻By the early 20th century it spread to Russia, then other parts of Eastern Europe and Germany.

🔻Almost every family used to grow it at home in the USSR. I guess even nowadays there are people who grow this tea mushroom in Russia.

🔻Tea mushroom resembles a jellyfish swimming in a three-liter jar.

🔻It was said to reduce toxicity in the liver, have antimicrobial and antioxidant properties and even lower blood sugar.

Have you ever tried kombucha?
