UNVEILING THE ARK 100,000 Capacity Project
Good News!
The groundbreaking for the Legacy Project, that is the 100,000-seat capacity Sanctuary called The Ark is scheduled to take place at Canaanland this Thursday 25th March 2021 and the time is 11:00 am.
.........The Ark will specifically take 106,000 seats and will include a 24 Floor Mission Tower (International Headquarters Facility) made up of 2 pairs of 12 floors each. It is to be built on the site of the old Faith Academy adjoining Faith Tabernacle which will now become its overflow facility. Faith Tabernacle and Faith Academy’s Foundation Laying both took place on 29th August 1998 and both projects lasted one year with the 50,000 capacity Faith Tabernacle project commencing on 18th September 1998 and dedicated on 18th September 1999. According to Bishop Oyedepo, not one dime of the money contributed to this project since 2015 has been touched and the Church has maintained strict budgeting and never going out of her budget. ‘Right now’ says Bishop Oyedepo ‘ it doesn’t feel like what we are building (the Ark Project) is up to a bungalow’........
Continuing the announcement by the Church-Members of the Church especially Pastors, Deacons, Deaconesses, Heads of various units who are able to make it are required to be present for this Prophetic Event.
Everyone that sees the take off of this Project shall live to see its completion in his or her multiplied state in the name of Jesus Christ.

THE ARK IS THE BUILDING WITH THE LARGEST SPAN IN THE WORLD SAYS BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO

Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Rt Rev Dr David Oyedepo has stated that the ongoing mega church project, the Ark will become the building with the longest span in the world. He also declared that the great marks the Church was making was as a result of unflinching obedience to the dictates of God no matter how inconvenient they might seem.
Announcing this at the second service in Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland, he stated:
“Can I show you something?
The Ark (109,345 seat capacity auditorium) that God is building sir, there is no place on this earth that has that span. They have checked it. The largest span in the world today is 250 or 253 (meters) Now this one is 318.
That is, the engineers around the world are going through strain to have it done. That is beyond what anybody can ask or think. You have stadia like Playboy (Dallas Cowboys) stadium, you have those great stadia in China, there is none that has the span...beyond all you can ask or think. So it becomes a global case study. Amen!

Don’t have no church in town. Yes sir.
I locked the place and put the key in my pocket.
If ye be willing and obedient, you shall eat of the fruit of the land”.
Church Gist immediately went to work to verify the statement by Bishop David Oyedepo.
The Ark is a Long-span building as has been stated in a previous article. Long -Span buildings by definition create unobstructed, column-free spaces greater than 30 metres (100 feet) for a variety of functions. These include activities where visibility is important for large audiences (auditoria and covered stadiums), where flexibility is important (exhibition halls and certain types of manufacturing facility), among others.
In the late 20th century, durable upper limits of span have been established for these types:
From our findings, the largest covered stadium , the AT & T Stadium, Arlington Texas, USA with a span of 204 meters (670 feet) has a Capacity of 80,000 which could be expandable to 105,000.
Remember that the Ark is 109,345 capacity
On the other hand, the largest exhibition hall in the world has a span of 216 metres (710 feet).
In these buildings the structural system needed to achieve these spans is a major concern.
It was also gathered that the Ark has a depth which is just about half of the depth of Burj Khalifa. Burj Khalifa is presently the tallest building in the world.
The Church is expanding the architectural acumen of Nigeria and giving opportunity for Nigerian indigenes to expand frontiers in this field given that the government with the myriad of problems she is battling might not always be privileged to handle these giant strides that exhibit the skill and brilliance of indigenes.
The Ark which will become the new headquarters of the Living Faith Church Worldwide is reported to have a time line of 3 years from foundation laying to completion.

51 stated that-Christians should be taught, the Pope, as it is his bounden duty to do, is indeed also willing to give of his own money - and should St. Peter's be sold thereto - to those from whom the preachers of indulgences do most extort money.
This also meant that
it would (or should) be the pope's wish, as it is his duty, to give of his own money to very many of those from whom certain hawkers of pardons cajole money, even if it meant the selling St. Peter's Basilica (which was under construction) to achieve that.
In reaction, the Catholic Church doubled down. Pope Leo X issued the bull Cum postquam (“When After”), which defined the doctrine of indulgences and addressed the issue of the authority of the church to absolve the faithful from temporal punishment. Luther’s views were declared to be in conflict with the teaching of the Catholic Church.
This act led to fatal consequences for the Roman Catholic Church.
Luther's Theses, which questioned the Catholic Church's authority directly led to the Protestant Reformation.
It resulted in the formation of numerous Protestant denominations, including Lutheranism, Calvinism and others, diverging from the Roman Catholic Church. Luther's critique of the Pope's authority and his emphasis on individual interpretation of the Bible led to a weakening of papal influence. The Protestant Reformation continues to have a significant impact on Western Christianity, shaping various denominations and their theological beliefs.
Before the Protestant Reformation, the vast majority of Christians in Europe and all over the world were Catholic. Estimates suggest that around 95-98% of Christians were Catholics in Western Europe at the time.
As at today, only 39.5% of Europe's Christians and 50% of the world's Christians are said to be Catholic. This shows that as a result of the Reformation, the Catholic Church is today much less than half of Christians globally. Notably, there was nothing like 'Roman Catholic' at the time. As at 1053, it was still referred to as the Western Catholic Church. The term Roman Catholic began in England as a slur against the Catholic Church and this was coined by Henry VIII in 1525, some 8 years after the release of the 95 theses.

Some of the people criticizing the building of the Ark will rather spend time on TV watching football in some of the best stadia in the world then engage also in gambling. Same people will rather see football stadia and betting centres filled than the Church filled. It's not really about the growth of the Kingdom but an anti kingdom and Judas Iscariot mindset.
For these, the response is that the Church of Christ is not built to satisfy the gates of hell...and of men. That must have been why the Lord Jesus Christ Affirmed...
... And upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S HOUSE shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills: and all nations shall flow to it. Isaiah 2:2

Some of the people criticizing the building of the Ark will rather spend time on TV watching football in some of the best stadia in the world then engage also in gambling. Same people will rather see football stadia and betting centres filled than the Church filled. It's not really about the growth of the Kingdom but an anti kingdom and Judas Iscariot mindset.
For these, the response is that the Church of Christ is not built to satisfy the gates of hell...and of men. That must have been why the Lord Jesus Christ Affirmed...
... And upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S HOUSE shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills: and all nations shall flow to it. Isaiah 2:2

The project is intentionally labeled a “legacy seed”—a structure meant to outlast its founders, speaking to future generations of the power of vision, commitment and spiritual dedication. The Founder has often emphasized that if Jesus tarries for another 1000 or 2000 years, He will meet the Ark filled with on fire and vibrant worshippers.
Contrasting Structures, Unified Purpose
Although both projects differ in scale, complexity and technological advancement, they are unified by a consistent philosophy: faith in divine instruction, financial integrity and spiritual purpose.
The Faith Tabernacle will forever be remembered as the project that validated the church's capacity for large-scale execution within improbable timelines. It is a symbol of obedience and supernatural accomplishment. In contrast, The Ark is about legacy—ensuring sustainability, scalability and continued relevance for decades or even centuries to come.
Moreover, both structures have cultural and symbolic importance beyond their physical form. They represent African-led innovation in global Christianity, challenging traditional Western-centric models of religious expansion. They also contribute to urban development, educational advancement and spiritual engagement across multiple continents through Winners' Chapel’s global network.
The Faith Tabernacle and the Ark Project are more than architectural marvels. They are physical embodiments of spiritual convictions, raised not merely to house congregations but to serve as landmarks of faith, vision, and transgenerational purpose. As The Ark continues to rise in Canaanland, it builds not just upon concrete and steel—but upon the unshakable foundation laid by the Faith Tabernacle, a foundation of faith, sacrifice and divine fulfillment.
Most projects anywhere close to this have taken between 12 and 15 years in modern times but none even close to the dimensions of the Ark. The nearest for now with 33 elevators, 8 chillers of 300 tons each and in terms of footprints is the KJC KINGDOME with a footprint of 58,400 sqm which took about 12 years as well as the Salvation Ministries Hand of God with 9 floors, 400 toilets in 20 units and a footprint of 56,800 sqm which has taken close to 15 years.
To the glory of God, we look forward to the dedication of this Generational Project with 129 elevators and escalators, 20 chillers of 600 tons each, 1,200 toilets, 12 floors and a footprint of 66,753 sqm at a time most suitable by the grace of God.
The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.
