Bishop David Oyedepo teaching during the Impartation Service of the Easter Faith Convention on Monday, 21st April narrated how he vowed his salary to God forever in December, 1987. His salary at the time was N1,386.

He said, "God's romance may be costly. He said, 'My Son, I'm pleased with you.' Oh, goose pimples all over my body. 'But what have you brought for me?' 'Lord, what do I have? Oh, my salary. I give it to you.' It was the most precious treasure of our lives then. How much was it? 1,386 Naira. I said, 'Lord, I give it to you.' That was December '87. Nobody heard it from my mouth until '96 when it had become a testimony with my own Accountant working for me. My wife asked me the following month, what about upkeep salary. I said I've laid it on the Altar so we are free to be hungry. That was the last time she asked. Church Gist. When you hear stories, check the story behind the story. We are not faking this thing here. I'm not prosperous by chance, it's by Covenant, dangerous acts of sacrifice as prompted by the Holy Ghost."

He further stated how God demanded a property from him when funds were needed for Church planting. He obeyed and God told him, 'My Son David, even if you don't want to be rich, it's too late!'

HOW GOD TURNED WHAT WAS MEANT FOR SHAME TO A TESTIMONY DURING MY WEDDING CEREMONY. - Rev. Ntia I. Ntia

Rev. Ntia, in a bid to encourage believers during his message on Easter Sunday to always hold on to the promises of God when confronted with challenges, shared a story of how God turned what was meant for shame to a testimony during his wedding ceremony.

He narrated how that a month to his wedding, people who had come together to assist him withdrew. “Let us see how he will succeed in that wedding. None of us will give anything” - they said. Church Gist. But to their amazement, God supernaturally came through for him. He arrived for the introduction with two bottles of wine but somebody went and brought cartons of wine for the event.

He was given the marriage list and he stepped out to take fresh air when a man approached him and requested for the list. The man took the list and told him; “thank you. Please, on that day, just come. Everything will be there.” Church Gist. That was how he went to the event with just his clothes.

He therefore beckoned on believers, “refuse to agree with satan that you are stranded. Refuse to agree with the devil that you are hopeless. Even if you are on the verge of the red sea, go forward.” He further said that believers should refuse to buy into the negative things happening around. Rather, they should confess the Word of God.

Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr, while preaching in the Third Service of the Special Easter Sunday Celebration Service, emphasized that riches are one of the gifts received from God through resurrection. He also mentioned that the prosperity in Winners Chapel today is a manifestation of God's riches in the Endtime which is evident in the building of the Ark alongside multiple projects taking place in Lagos and across the globe without financial tension.

According to him: “1 Corinthians 9:8. You don't need to look far, look at the testimony of this Commission, dangerous! God opened the seal of corporate tithing to His Servant in 1987 and this Commission began to practice it. 1987, engaging corporate tithing. Church Gist. Today, the prosperity of this Commission is a mystery. You look at the Ark going on right there, no day have you been put under any pressure. Ark is growing and nobody is groaning. Everybody is levelled at peace. No pressure for fund from anywhere, no call to nations of the Earth. Not only is the Ark growing but multiple projects are taking place across the globe not being affected. Even here in Lagos, Zones are being bought, Area Facilities are being bought, Zones are being built, no pressure, no tension. You know why? The Heavens have been gigantically open by engaging the Principle of the Covenant. Please listen to this very carefully, there is nothing you see today that is magic, everything you see that is taking place in this Commission today is the product of following the dictates of Scriptures.”

HOW THE SONG, 'ALL THE GLORY MUST BE TO THE LORD' CAME ABOUT IN 1983

Bishop David Oyedepo while preaching at the Covenant Hour of Prayer on 22nd April 2025 stated how he composed a song in appreciation to God after a Crusade in Kaduna state. He emphasized that murmuring prevents us from seeing the help of God.

He said, "We had such an awesome crusade in Kaduna years ago, 1983. Highest attendance was 63, City Wide Revival Week, 63 and the bulk of that number came along with us from Ilorin to that event. We gave extensive thanks on the 29th of November, that was when the song sprang, 'that no man on earth should give glory to himself, all glory must be to the Lord.' One night, only one person got saved, 'All glory must be to the Lord' There's joy in Heaven over one that's saved. 'For He is worthy of our praise, that no man on earth should give glory to himself, all the glory must be unto the Lord' and you saw the events that followed. In everything, give thanks!"
