➖ The sides are fighting for control of the remaining bridge from #Verbovka to #Balakleya across the Srednyaya Balakleyka river. The bridges to the south over the Balakleyka and the Kraynyaya Balakleyka rivers have been destroyed, cutting off the western and southern parts of #Balakleya from the central part of the city.
➖ #Balakleya is effectively surrounded by Ukrainian forces. All arterial roads leading into the city are cut off by fire.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ On preparations for another landing on #Zaporozhye NPP⚡️
At the beginning of September, Ukrainian landing troops made a suicidal attempt to land on the opposite bank of the #Dnipro River near the #Zaporozhye NPP in order to regain control over the facility.
The failure and dozens of killed Ukrainian servicemen slightly cooled the ardour of the AFU. However, recent events in Kharkov region and the shutdown of the last NPP unit on 11 September put the return of the power plant back on the agenda.
Up to one battalion of AFU units have been redeployed to the #Nikopol - #Marganets -#Ilyinka line. Ukrainian soldiers are currently establishing communications and reconnaissance of the area.
Unmanned aerial vehicle crews are patrolling along the #Dnipro River to assess the situation. And several gun and missile artillery positions have been deployed on the northern outskirts of #Nikopol to provide fire support for the landing troops.
There is no doubt that the Ukrainian command is seriously considering an attempt to storm the #Zaporozhye NPP. The threat of massive power outages is real for the country. And Ukraine still has "cannon fodder".

At the beginning of September, Ukrainian landing troops made a suicidal attempt to land on the opposite bank of the #Dnipro River near the #Zaporozhye NPP in order to regain control over the facility.
The failure and dozens of killed Ukrainian servicemen slightly cooled the ardour of the AFU. However, recent events in Kharkov region and the shutdown of the last NPP unit on 11 September put the return of the power plant back on the agenda.
Up to one battalion of AFU units have been redeployed to the #Nikopol - #Marganets -#Ilyinka line. Ukrainian soldiers are currently establishing communications and reconnaissance of the area.
Unmanned aerial vehicle crews are patrolling along the #Dnipro River to assess the situation. And several gun and missile artillery positions have been deployed on the northern outskirts of #Nikopol to provide fire support for the landing troops.
There is no doubt that the Ukrainian command is seriously considering an attempt to storm the #Zaporozhye NPP. The threat of massive power outages is real for the country. And Ukraine still has "cannon fodder".

▪️ During the fighting in the area, about 10 Ukrainian servicemen were captured and the Ukrainian Forces also suffered losses of military equipment and personnel. The enemy made no further attempts at an active offensive.
▪️ Nevertheless, Ukrainian Forces continue to redeploy their troops. UAV reconnaissance teams of the 44th Army Brigade are conducting terrain reconnaissance and reconnaissance of the Russian Forces' positions on the line of contact.

The border territories of northeastern Ukraine:

#Kharkov Direction:
▪️ This morning, Ukrainian militants shelled a convoy of five refugees in the #Kharkov region on their way from #Kupyansk to Russian-controlled territory. According to some reports, about 30 people were killed, including children.
#Lyman Direction:
▪️ Ukrainian Forces continue to develop operational success in the defence area of the troops of the Western Military District of the Russian Armed Forces and the People's Militia of the Luhansk People's Republic.
▪️ By midnight, the AFU had managed to effectively encircle #Lyman. From the north, #Stavka is occupied, there is fighting in #Zarechnoye, and the Lyman - Torskoye route is under constant enemy fire. From the south there is an assault on #Yampol.
If the Russian command does not take decisive action within 24 hours, #Lyman will meet the fate of #Balakleya. The defenders of the city, represented by the BARS reservist units, the LPR People's Militia and the 20th Combined Army of the RF, will be completely cut off from the main group. If they are destroyed in the town, the entire defensive potential of the Allied Forces in this section of the front will be wiped out.
The capture of #Lyman will open the door for the AFU to #Svatovo and then to #Kremennaya and #Rubezhnoye. Which line the new front will follow is not yet clear.

The intensity of shelling at the #Zaporozhye NPP and #Energodar has decreased in recent days, thanks to counter-battery gunfire by Russian Armed Forces artillery units and systematic target striking in #Nikopol and #Marganets on the northern bank of the #Kakhovka Reservoir.
Yes, full security has not yet been ensured: it is necessary to take control of the northern bank. But work has already started to integrate ZNPP and #Energodar into the Russian legal framework.
🔻Since the historic decision to annex Zaporozhye Region to Russia, Igor Murashov, the general director of ZNPP, has been detained in #Energodar. Rosatom has decided to speed up the integration of the nuclear power plant into the Russian power grid and dispatching system.
The management of the plant, which must be fully loyal to Russia, will be changed, including the director general, his deputies and shop stewards.
▪️ The Ukrainian media is spreading the word that Murashov's detention threatens radiation safety. This is nonsense: the director is primarily in charge of legal and financial issues, while the chief engineer is responsible for the technical nuances. And Murashov's competence has always been a matter of doubt.
▪️ Now the plant's power units are shut down, there is no need for technical solutions. Routine legal work is ahead to bring the plant under Rosatom's full control. A decision has been taken to create a new legal entity for ZNPP. All employees will have to get Russian SNILS.
🔻 The inhabitants of #Energodar got, first of all, certainty and confidence in the future. This will finally put an end to rumours about the possible surrender of the city back to Ukrainian control.
Many residents, including NPP employees, have left the city. However, as the region integrates into Russia and normal life is established, some of them will return.

The AFU hit the #Energodar city administration building overnight (18-19 Oct). Ukrainian media traditionally stated that the incident was caused by "self-fire" by the Russian Forces.
We analysed the video in detail and were able to determine that the building was hit by HIMARS MLRS. Judging by the direction of arrival, the missiles were fired from the right bank of the #Kakhovka reservoir from the outskirts of #Marganets.
Based on this, the approximate launch positions of the HIMARS launchers can be determined:
▪️ Distance 30 km: 47.752394, 34.565972
▪️ Distance 20 km: 47.666170, 34.622749
▪️ Distance 18 km: 47.648890, 34.611033

▪️ In the Belgorod region, Ukrainian militants shelled civilian buildings in the border villages of #Tishanka and #Verigovka. There were no civilian casualties.
#Starobelsk Direction (MAP):
▪️ In the #Kupyansk area, the Ukrainian command of the 14th Mechanized Brigade has rotated personnel in preparation for an offensive against Russian positions near the village of #Kislovka.
▪️ In the #Svatovo sector, units of the AFU BTGr made an unsuccessful attempt to attack the positions of the Russian Forces near the village of #Kuzemovka. The enemies retreated to theirs initial positions and lost one tank and three armoured vehicles.
▪️ In the #Lyman sector, Ukrainian assault groups of the 66th Mechanized Brigade together with a tank reserve, attacked Russian strongholds near #Nevskoye. Russian Forces repulsed the attack and destroyed three tanks, two BMPs, one APC and three pickups of the AFU.
▪️ In the #Lysychansk sector, the AFU command moved reserves to compensate for the losses incurred in the failed attempts to storm the Russian positions in the direction of #Belogorovka.
#Soledar Direction:
▪️ There are no significant changes in the frontline, AFU units tried to push Wagner PMC units out of the asphalt plant on the eastern outskirts of #Bakhmut. At the same time, fierce fighting continues in the vicinity of #Opytnoye.
#Lugansk Region:
▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled #Zolote-2 and #Svatovo with HIMARS MLRS and also hit the village of #Krasnorechenskoye with artillery shells. Houses and civilian infrastructure were damaged. There were casualties among civilians and one fatality.
#Donetsk Direction:
▪️ AFU militants shelled #Donetsk, #Makeevka, #Dokuchayevsk, Krasny Partizan, #Kashtanovoye and other settlements in the agglomeration. To destroy radar and air defence complexes in #Donetsk, the militants used an US AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missile, which exploded in the air.
#Zaporozhye Direction:
▪️ No significant changes in the frontline in the last 24 hours. Mutual artillery fire is taking place along the entire line of contact.
▪️ In the morning, a car bomb exploted in #Melitopol near the ZATV television and radio company. Six journalists and civilians, including a 12-year-old girl, were injured.
▪️ Russian Forces hit AFU firing positions near #Nikopol and #Marganets, from where #Energodar and #Zaporozhye NPP are regularly shelled.
#Nikolaev - #Berislav Direction on Southern Front:
▪️ Ukrainian command continues to prepare for an offensive along the entire front line.
▪️ On the #Nikolaev section there were continuous artillery duels throughout the day. AN/TPQ-36 radars are deployed in #Kirovo and #Lymany to conduct counter-battery warfare.
▪️ In the #Andreevka sector, a SRG of the 46th AFU Aeromobile Brigade tried to entrench itself in the #Ishchenka area. The group was pushed back to its initial positions by artillery fire.
▪️ Several self-propelled artillery units, including a 155 mm Krab SAU, were moved to the vicinity of Novaya Kamenka in the #Berislav area.
