▪️ The 53rd Brigade of the AFU suffered catastrophic personnel losses during active combat near #Bakhmut with Wagner PMC units. It was decided to withdraw the unit to the #Cherkasy region for reinforcement.

By midday on October 7, the situation near #Svatovo and #Kremmenaya remains tense but controlled. RF Armed Forces units and volunteers from BARS-16 ("Kuban") and BARS-13 ("Russian Legion") units are preparing the towns for defence.

Engineering equipment is being actively used to build fortifications. Reactionary and barrel artillery is taking up positions behind the line of battle.

The Ukrainian armed forces regularly probe the Russian defence line: they operate in small sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs) and attempt to provoke Russian artillery fire and identify its location.

In addition, the Ukrainian military is using long-range MLRS. For example, on the morning of 7 October, the Ukrainian armed forces fired HIMARS at the interchange between #Rubezhnoye and #Kremmenaya.

The Ukrainian military is currently most active to the north of #Svatovo, planning to bypass and encircle the city this way. ▪️ Government offices are evacuated from #Bakhmut itself to Chasov Yar. Signatures are being collected in some units of the AFU on the issue of distrust of the grouping's command.

▪️ Wagner PMC Fighters have reached the southeastern outskirts of #Bakhmut and established control of #Ivangrad in the course of fighting. Ukrainian formations suffered losses and withdrew to the #Klescheevka area.

▪️ Forty-three military personnel and one reserve platoon were also transferred to the #Klescheevka area to reinforce defences and restore positions. Wounded are being evacuated from #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye) with the help of armoured combat vehicles.

The convoy was detected by an Orlan-30 drone, after which it was attacked by Russian Air Force Su-25 attack aircraft. The forward positions of the AFU were also hit by Giatsint-B howitzers and Smerch multiple rocket launchers. The enemy attack was thwarted. The Ukrainian formations withdrew after losing all their armoured vehicles.

#Kupyansk Sector:

▪️ Units of the 14th AFU Mechanized Brigade, supported by artillery and aviation, made another attempt to storm the positions of the Russian Forces in #Orlyanka, #Pershotravneve, #Tabaevka and #Berestovoye.

During the attack, the 14th Brigade assault units were able to partially consolidated taken positions on the edge of the line, but Russian troops pushed the AFU formations back to their initial positions with artillery and MLRS fire.

▪️ The Ukrainian force was tasked with reaching Nizhnyaya Duvanka at any cost. The commander of the 14th Brigade Combat Team has ordered to bring in reserves and continue the offensive. A group of AFU Signals Intelligence is operating in #Sinkovka.

Meanwhile, a part of the personnel of the 2nd Battalion of the 14th Brigade are refusing to advance from the positional area in #Novoosinovo towards the Russian lines due to high losses of personnel.

#Svatovo Sector:

▪️ Ukrainian formations unsuccessfully tried to dislodge Russian troops in the #Stelmakhovka and #Makeevka areas. The attacks were repulsed.

▪️ The AFU command intends to resume the offensive in the #Raygorodka direction. Additional units have been moved redeployed to the #Borovaya area.

#Lyman Sector:

▪️ Assault units of the 3rd Battalion of the 66th AFU Mechanized Brigade and the 65th Mechanized Brigade attacked the Russian positions in the direction of #Chervonopopovka.

The 65th Mechanized Brigade was additional supported by assault groups of the 25th Airborne Brigade from the #Kolodesi area, which had been deployed to the village the previous day. Russian Forces successfully repelled the attacks.

🩸 During the fighting in the entire direction, Russian troops eliminated at least 52 Ukrainian servicemen and more than 100 were wounded with varying degrees of severity. Two tanks, eight BMPs, five APCs and nine BMPs were destroyed.

▪️ Another direction of the Russian offensive was #Novomikhailovka. Russian fighters have seized the dominant heights south of the settlement and advanced towards the village of #Vodyanoye.

▪️ Russian Forces continue the operation to reach the flank of the AFU in #Avdeevka. Russian fighters complete the clearing of #Vodyanoye and the capture of #Opytnoye, and will then advance northwards.

#Zaporozhye Direction (MAP):

▪️ The AFU command continues to move personnel and armoured vehicles to forward positions in the #Belogorye - #Charivnoye area. Ukrainian formations are trying to take measures against Russian UAVs on the entire frontline.

▪️ Ukrainian artillery from positions in #Novokievka shelled #Energodar and the #Zaporozhye NPP. The impacts damaged power lines and the city was partially without electricity. Russian troops hit the enemy shelling point in retaliation.

#Nikolaev - #Berislav Direction on Southern Front:

▪️ The Ukrainian command continues to prepare for an offensive along the entire front line. At the same time, Russian units are carrying out activities to reinforce the defesive line.

▪️ Russian soldiers from the Far East, special forces and airborne troops have repulsed another attack on the Davydov Brod - #Berislav road.

▪️ Russian Forces struck enemy positions in #Nikolaev, #Belyaevka and #Shevchenkovka. During the night, Russian troops hit the AFU Special Forces training centre in #Ochakov, from where the attack on #Sevastopol Bay on 29 October was coordinated.
