While the offensive on #Slavyansk has stalled, Russian forces continue positional fighting near Malaya Kamyshevaka and Brazhkovka and are trying to expand the security zone around #Izyum.
▪️ In the direction of #Barvenkovo, Russian forces already lost control of the key heights south of the Brazhkovka-Suligovka-Dolgenkoye line on 10 August. The heights are in a neutral zone and are occasionally climbed by AFU units, but they are immediately driven away by artillery fire.
Currently, Russian forces maintain a presence in #Brazhkovka and #Suligovka, while in Dolghenkoye the southern part of the village is in the combat zone. However, the AFU hills are only 1 kilometre away from the outskirts of the villages.
▪️ In the past week, Russian forces have repeatedly tried to storm hill 204.7 west of #Brazhkovka. From this hill, the road leads to #Vernopolye, from where Ukrainian missile defence systems operate.
The hill is currently controlled by the AFU.

▪️ The situation near #Saligovka is much better: the RF Armed Forces units managed to destroy AFU positions in the forest to the south and reach the outskirts of #Dibrovnoye. However, hills 230.4 and 231.3 are still under enemy control, which makes it difficult to continue the counterattack on #Dibrovnoye for now.
▪️ The heights to the south of #Dolgenkoye are also under AFU control, so the southern outskirts of the settlement are under enemy fire control.
▪️ The situation in #Kopanka is stable: the Russian Armed Forces control the dominant heights and are taking #Dmitrovka and #Verenopol under fire.

Despite the unprecedented counterattack by Ukrainian forces in the direction of #Kharkov, the enemy has intensified its artillery operations:
➖ Ukrainian units shelled Kazachya Lopan, Uda, Sosnovka and Bolshiye Prokhody in the north of #Kharkov region. #Izyum and #Balakleya were heavily shelled by Ukrainian forces in the direction of #Barvenkovo.

➖ In #Soledar and #Bakhmut, the Allied forces are engaged in positional fighting on the outskirts of the city.

As expected, the AFU offensive has stalled. The flying squads took everything they could yesterday, and then, with the Russian Armed Forces' reserves coming in, they have to fight for everything in earnest.
At night there were attempts to probe the Allied forces' defenses near #Shevchenkove and #Balakleya, but in view of the approach of the Russian reserves to the latter last night (after a forced march) the prospects for the enemy here are not rosy.
Moreover, the AFU failed to preempt our units in the area of #Savintsy and thus prevented the enemy strike units from reaching the rear of the Balakleya and Izyum groups of the Russian Forces (which was our most important tactical success amid the problems of the first two days of fighting). Now we can rely on this region to prepare for the fight with the main enemy forces, which have not yet entered the fight from Kharkov at 12.00 on 08.09, but are at a distance of 10-25 km from the front line.
At the same time, Russian aviation and artillery are operating at full strength and inflicting tangible losses on the enemy, which leaves the Ukrainian command with a choice - either to attack quickly and try, (before the RF Forces have had time to bring up all the reserves) to build on their success and crush the enemy in pieces (but this is very risky, as it could repeat the history in the Kherson direction), or try to hold what is occupied, but risk wasting their strike force, which will be hit with everything they have in the coming days.
In fact, the main part of the #Balakleya battle has not yet begun, and it may end in favour of either side. But much of their prospects (for both sides) will depend on how much strength the Allied Command has allocated to the #Balakleya direction. This is because the second enemy grouping from the #Barvenkovo area has not yet entered the battle.

▪️ Assault groups of the 81st Airborne Brigade conducted a reconnaissance battle near #Drobyshevo. AFU reconnaissance teams revealed the locations of forts and the number of people in this section of the front. It is likely that the soldiers of the 81st Brigade will make another attempt to capture the settlement during the night.
▪️ More Ukrainian units continue to be moved via a pontoon to #Svyatogorsk to reinforce the troop grouping and limit the actions of Russian forces towards #Aleksandrovka.
