⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Battle for #Kherson: Situation in the #Andreevka and #Berislav Sections at 15:00 on 4 Oct 2022⚡️

Russian forces are regrouping in the north-east of the #Kherson region. Due to the breakthrough of the AFU in the #Berislav sector and the threat of physical encirclement of the Russian group in the villages of #Dudchany and Davydov Brod, it was decided to withdraw the contingent of Russian forces to a new defensive line.

▪️ In addition to Brod, Russian units left #Bolshaya and Malaya Aleksandrovka, #Staroselye, #Trifonovka, Novaya Kamenka, #Olgino and #Arkhangelskoye.

It is not yet entirely clear how the new contact line will run. We assume that today the Russian Forces will be stationed on the line #Kostromka - #Borozenskoye - #Mylovoye. This will avoid creating a 'cauldron' and level the front line.

Given the impossibility of holding the defence in the #KrivoyRog sector, this is the only acceptable option to spare personnel and equipment.

However, the absence of retaliation and counterattacks in the near future will bring the danger of another offensive by Ukrainian Forces on #Berislav and Novaya Kakhovka, as well as on #Kherson from the Posad-Pokrovskoye and #Snigirovka sectors. Moreover, the Ukrainian Forces' control of the #Dnipro coast poses an immediate threat to the Russian contingent on the left bank of the #Dnipro River.

The Ukrainian units, provided there is no resistance, can carry out a landing operation with small boats and ships, of which they have enough. And this is already a blow against the flank of the grouping of RF forces in the #Zaporozhye region and a direct access to #Melitopol.

An improvised explosive device with a capacity of about 400 grams of TNT was found in a black bag near one of the apartment buildings.

Specialists defused the bomb and handed it over to the police. The search is currently underway for persons involved in the organization of the attack.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation in #Zaporozhye Direction at 15:00 on 6 Oct 2022⚡️

In the #Zaporozhye direction, the AFU continue to accumulate personnel and military equipment for the offensive.

▪️ The command of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the AFU has rotated personnel to the frontline. Another convoy of armoured vehicles has arrived from #Volnyansk station to reinforce the Dnepr Troop Grouping.

▪️ Ukrainian formations still intend to carry out an offensive against Russian positions at the #Orekhovsky and #Gulyaypole sections in order to cut through the front and possibly reach #Melitopol and #Berdyansk.

In recent days, UAV teams from the 44th Separate Artillery Brigade have been actively searching for Russian supply lines and air defence systems. Pro-Ukrainian citizens in the #Zaporozhye region have been assisting them.

▪️ The enemy command is paying special attention to counter-battery warfare. AN/TPQ-36 and AN/TPQ-50 radars are operating in the vicinity of Stepnogorsk and Malyye Shcherbaki, integrated into a common control and communication network between the units.

The Ukrainian command intends to implement a similar scenario in #Zaporozhye after the successes in the #Kharkov and Krivoy Rog regions. Strikes in several directions in the most vulnerable places, followed by deployment of mobile groups and wedging in the defensive lines.

In recent days, Ukrainian SRGs have been actively reconnoitring Russian Forces' defences in various parts of the front line. Reconnaissance drones, including Bayraktar, have been scouting the situation on the contact line. Primarily, Ukrainian Forces are trying to take out anti-aircraft missile systems and ammunition depots.

The landing of tactical landing troops from the left bank of the #Dnipro River, where the Ukrainian Forces are entrenched, cannot be ruled out. Such a scenario, assuming that an all-out attack is launched in the direction of #Zaporozhye, would make it possible to hit the rear of the Russian grouping in #Energodar and gain operational space in the direction of #Melitopol.

The command of the AFU has given orders to set up mine barriers and equip strongholds. The Ukrainian formations foresee a possible failure of their plan and are preparing troops to defend #Zaporozhye in case of a counteroffensive by the Russian Forces.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦💥 Russian Forces Artillery Work in #Zaporozhye Direction⚡️

Over the past few weeks, the Ukrainian command has been preparing for an offensive in the Zaporozhye direction. Therefore, the Russian Armed Forces have been actively working on detecting and engaging identified targets.

The video shows two US-made M777 howitzers being hit by artillery fire near the village of #Preobrazhenka, northeast of #Orekhov. Also captured was the destruction of an AFU stronghold and positions in the wooded areas near #Nesteryanka, which was repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian formations in September.

The AFU has now moved a large force to the front line to push from #Orekhov towards #Tokmak and on to #Melitopol. Counter-battery fighting and accurate Russian artillery strikes are making it difficult for Ukrainian forces to concentrate before the offensive.

#Starobelsk Direction (MAP):

▪️ In the #Kupyansk area, the Ukrainian command of the 14th Mechanized Brigade has rotated personnel in preparation for an offensive against Russian positions near the village of #Kislovka.

▪️ In the #Svatovo sector, units of the AFU BTGr made an unsuccessful attempt to attack the positions of the Russian Forces near the village of #Kuzemovka. The enemies retreated to theirs initial positions and lost one tank and three armoured vehicles.

▪️ In the #Lyman sector, Ukrainian assault groups of the 66th Mechanized Brigade together with a tank reserve, attacked Russian strongholds near #Nevskoye. Russian Forces repulsed the attack and destroyed three tanks, two BMPs, one APC and three pickups of the AFU.

▪️ In the #Lysychansk sector, the AFU command moved reserves to compensate for the losses incurred in the failed attempts to storm the Russian positions in the direction of #Belogorovka.

#Soledar Direction:

▪️ There are no significant changes in the frontline, AFU units tried to push Wagner PMC units out of the asphalt plant on the eastern outskirts of #Bakhmut. At the same time, fierce fighting continues in the vicinity of #Opytnoye.

#Lugansk Region:

▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled #Zolote-2 and #Svatovo with HIMARS MLRS and also hit the village of #Krasnorechenskoye with artillery shells. Houses and civilian infrastructure were damaged. There were casualties among civilians and one fatality.

#Donetsk Direction:

▪️ AFU militants shelled #Donetsk, #Makeevka, #Dokuchayevsk, Krasny Partizan, #Kashtanovoye and other settlements in the agglomeration. To destroy radar and air defence complexes in #Donetsk, the militants used an US AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missile, which exploded in the air.

#Zaporozhye Direction:

▪️ No significant changes in the frontline in the last 24 hours. Mutual artillery fire is taking place along the entire line of contact.

▪️ In the morning, a car bomb exploted in #Melitopol near the ZATV television and radio company. Six journalists and civilians, including a 12-year-old girl, were injured.

▪️ Russian Forces hit AFU firing positions near #Nikopol and #Marganets, from where #Energodar and #Zaporozhye NPP are regularly shelled.

#Nikolaev - #Berislav Direction on Southern Front:

▪️ Ukrainian command continues to prepare for an offensive along the entire front line.

▪️ On the #Nikolaev section there were continuous artillery duels throughout the day. AN/TPQ-36 radars are deployed in #Kirovo and #Lymany to conduct counter-battery warfare.

▪️ In the #Kupyansk sector, the AFU is pulling together its reserves for a new attempt to storm the Russian positions in #Yagodnoye. Enemy UAVs are operating along the entire frontline.

#Donetsk Direction:

▪️ There is fighting in and around #Pavlovka near #Ugledar. The Eastern Marines and the DPR's OBTF have so far failed to dislodge the AFU from the northern outskirts of the village. The advance of the Russian forces is hampered by the approach of enemy reserves and the muddy weather, which makes logistics difficult.

▪️ Near #Novomikhailovka, the AFU launched a counteroffensive to retake positions lost last week. Russian Motorized Riflemen repulsed the attack, destroying two APCs and forcing the AFU to retreat deep into the village with losses.

▪️ In #Maryinka, units of the DPR People´s Militia and the 150th Motorized Rifle Division are fighting and gradually advancing towards the the town centre near Druzhba Street.

▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled residential areas and civilian infrastructure in #Donetsk. A school and a hospital in the Kievsky district were damaged, three women were injured. The Stirol plant in #Gorlovka was also shelled by the enemy.

#Zaporozhye Direction:

▪️ Ukrainian formations have again attempted to attack Russian positions at the "outpost" near #Vremevka village. Russian soldiers repulsed the attack and destroyed an APC and six enemy fighters.

▪️ In the morning, the AFU struck #Melitopol, with some of the shells being intercepted by air defence.

▪️ In the late evening, Geran-2 kamikaze drones hit targets in the outskirts of #Zaporozhye.

#Nikolaev - #Berislav Direction on Southern Front:

▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled populated areas in #Kherson region. The city administration building in Hola Pristan, the #Kakhovka hydropower plant, as well as the port and civilian infrastructure of #Kherson were hit. Most of the missiles were shot down by air defence.

▪️ In the #Kupyansk sector, the command of the 14th AFU Mechanized Brigade has established observation posts west of #Kislovka. The enemy is using drones to identify Russian artillery fire positions.

▪️ In the #Lyman sector, units of the 25th AFU Airborne Brigade have made several unsuccessful attempts to gain a foothold in the area west of #Chervonopopovka. The Brigade has suffered major personnel losses in recent weeks, but the Ukrainian command has repeatedly sent the fighters into the attack.

#Soledar Direction (MAP):

▪️ In the #Bakhmut area, assault groups of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade, supported by artillery, attempted a counterattack in the #Zaitsevo and #Otradovka areas. The Russian forces repulsed the attack and pushed the enemy back to its initial positions with return fire.

▪️ During the offensive against #Mayorsk, Russian forces took control over the eponymous railway station, an industrial zone and part of the development area. The AFU took defensive positions in the remaining area of the micro district.

#Donetsk Direction (MAP):

▪️ Fighters of the Separate Reconnaissance Battalion Sparta and 1st Slavyansk Brigade, supported by the 238th Artillery Brigade, liberated the village of #Opytnoye. The capture of the settlement has moved the frontline several kilometres away from #Donetsk and allows the offensive on #Avdeevka to continue from the southwest.

The command of the United Grouping of Troops "Dnepr" is preparing for the winter period of combat operations and reinforcing forward positions before a possible offensive in the #Orekhov and #Gulyaypole sections.

▪️ Units of the 9th Special Forces Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU) have received EM-120 mortars and shells at the #Novoandreyevka - #Shcherbaki line.

▪️ The 9th Regiment in #Kamenskoye has been subordinated under the 44th Artillery Brigade, and a manoeuvre unit of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine has arrived in the area of responsibility of the NGU formation.

▪️ The work of a commission by the AFU generals was recorded in the #Charivnoye area. Immediately after the visit, meetings were held at the headquarters of the battalions of the 65th AFU Mechanized Brigade to discuss further actions in the direction during the winter period.

The better trained units of the 65th Mechanized Brigade of the AFU have replaced the 75th Battalion of the 102nd Territorial Defence Brigade. Tactical camouflaging of positions and mining of approaches to the outposts are cuttently being carried out.

▪️ In the second echelon, in the #Omelnik area, a combined-arms reserve of the United Grouping of Troops "Dnepr" is being formed, which also included the 16th Battalion of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the AFU, numbering 271 men.

🩸 The withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson opened up the possibility for the AFU to move the previously committed reserves in other directions. Of all possible options, #Starobelsk and #Zaporozhye are the most important for the AFU, both militarily and politically.

Taking #Melitopol and reaching #Berdyansk would effectively encircle the Russian Armed Forces on the left bank of the #Dnipro River and reach #Crimea, as well as further attack the flank of the Donetsk grouping. It is likely that we will see a significant part of the AFU "#Kherson" formations here in the near future.

Ukrainian formations continue to consolidate in positions abandoned by Russian forces.

#Primorskiy Section:

▪️ The 2nd and 4th Battalions of the 28th AFU Mechanized Brigade were moved to #Chornobaevka, the 208th Air Defence Brigade and 406th Artillery Brigade to Tomina Balka and #Stanislav areas, and MANPAD firing groups to #Belozorka and #Kamyshany.

▪️ Major General Kovalchuk of the United Grouping of Troops visited #Kherson after Ukrainian troops took control.

He was accompanied by officers from 83 TsIPsO (Centre for Information and Psychological Operations) to carry out propaganda against the backdrop of the Russian withdrawal, as well as journalists from various Western media of the US, UK, Poland and Romania.

#Berislav Sector:

Units of the 17th Tank Brigade, 46th and 80th Separate Airmobile Brigade, 60th Separate Infantry Brigade and 9th Consolidated Batallion of the Territorial Defence of the AFU have regrouped along the #Dnipro River and taken up positions from #Berislav to #Kherson on the right bank of the river.

▪️ On the opposite bank, informants and pro-Ukrainian citizens in #Kherson Oblast are monitorong rge movements of the Russian army in #Korsunka, Novaya Kakhovka, Severnaya Kamyanka, #Kairy, #Gornostaevka, #Zavodovka, Bolshaya Lepetikha, #Zapovitnoye, #Tavriysk, #Shotovka, #Ivanovka, #Shiroky, #Skadovsk and #Aleshki.

🩸 As soon as the regrouping and filtering measures among the residents of the #Kherson area are completed, a large part of the units will most likely be transferred to other areas.

Residents of the Ukrainian-controlled part of #Kherson Oblast report the formation of an assault force for an offensive on #Melitopol. It currently consists of eight combined battalion-tactical groups.

After the capture of #Kherson, the direction of #Zaporozhye is of paramount importance for the Ukrainian leadership in the short term.

The capture of the #Zaporozhye NPP, the interruption of the supply route by land to #Crimea, the blockade of Russian forces on the left bank of the #Dnipro, the regaining of control over part of the Sea of Azov and probably an attack on the flank of the Russian army in #Donetsk are the goals of the AFU.

And the freed resources from #Kherson are a great help in achieving this goal!

▪️ In the #Svatovo sector, the AFU simultaneously attacked Russian positions in the direction of #Stelmakhovka, #Makeyevka and #Chervonopopovka.

Thanks to the timely work of Russian artillery and aviation, the enemy could not achieve any successes on this line either.

▪️ In the #Lyman sector, the Ukrainian army command is moving equipment and personnel for the next offensive on #Kremennaya.

#Soledar Direction (MAP):

▪️ In the #Bakhmut area, units of the Wagner PMC are advancing deep into #Bakhmut (#Artemovsk) on the southeastern outskirts of the city. This is opposed by fighters of the AFU's 53rd Mechanized Brigade, who are building more fortifications in the path of the Russian offensive.

▪️ Units of the AFU's 24th Mechanized Brigade have arrived in the vicinity of #Pokrovsk. The units will be moved to #Soledar after being trained and re-equipped.

▪️ West of #Lysychansk, Russian forces supported by the LPR People's Militia are fighting in #Belogorovka. Some enemy units of the 54th Mechanized Brigade and 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade have withdrawn to reserve positions in anticipation of support.

#Lugansk People's Republic:

▪️ In #Lugansk and #Alchevsk, air defence worked late in the evening. Ukrainian militants also shelled #Stakhanov, Nizhnyaya Duvanka, #Rubizhnoye, #Melovatka and #Sabovka.

#Donetsk Direction (MAP):

▪️ Fighters of the Separate Sparta Batallion and the 1st Slavyansk Brigade, supported by the 238th Artillery Brigade, continue the clearing of the vicinity of #Opytnoye.

▪️ At the same time, Russian forces in #Vodyanoye, #Pervomayskoye and the vicinity of #Nevelskoye are gradually pushing the AFU out of the settlements.

#Southdonetsk Direction (MAP):

🩸 In the evening, the Russian Armed Forces again carried out massive strikes on critical infrastructure in #Ukraine. Targets were hit in #Zhytomyr, #Kiev, #Kharkov, #Zmiev, #Lvov, #Rivne and #Artsyz, as well as in #Sumy, #Khmelnitsky, Ivano-Frankovsk and #Vinnitsa regions.

Ukrainian air defence could not repel the attacks. There have been power outages across the country.

▪️ During the raid, two munitions landed near the Polish village of Przewodowy, killing two farmers. According to preliminary reports, a stray AFU S-300 anti-aircraft missile collapsed on Polish territory.

#Belgorod Region:

▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled residential buildings in the village of #Leninsky, as well as in the villages of #Bezymeno, #Kozinka and #Spodaryusheno. Civilians were not injured.

▪️ In the evening, enemy militants attacked residential areas in the town of #Shebekino. At least three people were killed and three others wounded.

▪️ Russian air defence forces intercepted almost all targets over #Valuyki and in the #Graivoron urban district, but one person was killed by a missile. Another woman was injured.

#Starobelsk Direction (MAP):

▪️ In the #Kupyansk sector, artillery units of the 14th AFU Brigade shelled the #Olshana - #Pervomayskoye - #Orlyanka - #Yagodnoye line. Enemy targeting was carried out by drones and SRGs near #Ivanovka.

▪️ In the #Svatovo sector, assault commandos of the 2nd Battalion of the AFU's 92nd Mechanized Brigade entrenched on the western outskirts of #Stelmakhovka and continued their offensive towards #Kuzemovka. The advancing enemy forces were detected by UAVs and withdrew to their initial positions under artillery fire from the Russian forces.

▪️ In the #Lyman sector, a company of the AFU's 25th Airmobile Brigade, supported by armoured vehicles, attempted to break through towards #Chervonopopovka. Russian forces repulsed the attack and later hit the brigade's positions, killing two and wounding 15 Ukrainian paratroopers.

▪️ In the #Lysychansk sector, fighting continues near #Belogorovka. An enemy SRG conducted combat reconnaissance on Russian positions near #Zolotarevka. The Russian forces detected the enemy's concentration and launched a preemptive strike, forcing the Ukrainian militants to retreat to their initial positions with losses.

#Lugansk People's Republic:

▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled residential buildings in #Denezhnikovo and #Volcheyarovka with barrel and missile artillery. Civilians were not harmed.

#Donetsk Direction (MAP):

▪️ The AFU command is moving reinforcements and equipping additional fortifications to hold the stronghold of #Avdeevka.

▪️ Fighters of the Separate Reconnaissance Battalion Sparta and the 1st Slavyansk Brigade, supported by the 238th Artillery Brigade, have completed a clean-up of the northern outskirts of #Opytnoye. The liberation of the settlement allows the offensive against #Avdeevka to continue from the southwest.

▪️ The Ukrainian command is moving reinforcements and strengthening its defences to prevent the encirclement of the #Avdeevka stronghold.

▪️ Enemy militants have again shelled populated areas of the #Donetsk agglomeration. Residential areas and civilian infrastructure, including the Donbass Arena building, were damaged in #Donetsk. At least six people were injured.

#Zaporozhye Direction:

▪️ The AFU command continues to move additional forces to the #Orekhov and #Gulyaypole areas in preparation for an offensive.

▪️ A train carrying 20 pieces of military equipment and weapons, including several M142 HIMARS MLRS launchers, has arrived at the railway station in #Volnyansk. The day before, the second line of defence was equipped with launching positions for US missile systems.
