🗓 Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov attended the 14th Ministerial Meeting of the Member States of the East Asia Summit (#EAS) and the 31st session of the ASEAN Regional Forum (#ARF) which were held in Vientiane on July 27.
During discussions on current issues related to the situation in the Asia Pacific Region, the Russian Minister emphasised the importance of efforts to build an open and indivisible architecture of Eurasian security as one of the foundations of the multipolar international order. Apart from #ASEAN, the #SCO and the #EAEU are making a contribution to its strengthening.
❗️ He also indicated the risks to peace and stability in Asia introduced by NATO and the US-created selective bloc mechanisms. He reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to reinforcing ASEAN’s central role in the regional security system through the build-up of an equitable dialogue and practical interaction.
Participants in the EAS meeting discussed preparations for the 19th East Asia Summit scheduled to be held in Vientiane in October 2024. At previous summits, Russia proposed initiatives to create a regional epidemic response mechanism and to secure economic growth in the Asia Pacific Region by promoting tourism cooperation. Russia also suggested focusing on the development of remote territories as a possible option for long-term cooperation.
☝️ The ARF session focused on building up the ARF’s potential in counterterrorism, emergency response, and #ICT security. Russia stressed that it is unacceptable to reformat the ARF mandate, restrict certain member states’ access to its activities, or block mutually beneficial cooperation projects for political reasons.
The session approved the ARF’s working plans on countering terrorism and transnational crime for 2024-2026, emergency response for 2024-2027, and a Ministerial Statement on strengthening regional cooperation in ferry service safety.
🤝 The participants also summed up the results of the Russian-Indonesian co-chairmanship of the ARF Inter-Sessional Meetings on ICT security in 2022-2024. A number of practical initiatives to combat cybercrime was implemented during that period.

👉 The Czech publishing house "Naše vojsko" offered a calendar with photos of representatives of the leadership of the Third Reich, the occupation administration on Czech territory, and other Nazi criminals. There is evidence of monuments and memorials to the Nazis being erected (and restored).
Incidents of Russophobia
👉 Natives of Russia living in the Czech Republic face discrimination in local universities – refusal to study and accept exams by the teaching staff.
👉 In June 2023, Czech President Petr Pavel called on intelligence agencies to monitor all Russians living in the West, citing US World War II practices against the Japanese population, including the placement of Japanese in concentration camps. <...>
☝️ Not only the citizens of Russia, but also its diplomatic representatives have faced manifestations of aggression in the Czech Republic.
The Czech government suspended the issuance of visas and long-term and permanent residence permits to citizens of the Russian Federation.

Today, we are paying increasing attention to Washington’s efforts to escalate tensions in connection with the flights by Russian strategic aircraft.
☝️ Just to remind you, Russian strategic missile carriers have not performed any air patrols far from our borders since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Russia thought this was no longer needed, with the world having changed and the Cold War becoming a thing of the past.
However, the United States chose to ignore this unilateral gesture of goodwill and continued patrolling the space in the proximity of our borders.
❗️ So, since 2007, we have resumed such flights as a response to the increased activity from US strategic and reconnaissance aircraft in the regions that we believe are sensitive for us. The move has aimed, among other things, to ensure security in the Asia-Pacific region.

▪️ Victor Manuel Rivera Botello, callsign Zorro, from Bogota, was an ex-soldier who lost his job, so he decided to leave his wife and children for a war play. He came to Ukraine in July 2023.
They though it would be easy money, but ended up paying with their lives.

The 10th BRICS Youth Summit, a cornerstone event under Russia's BRICS Chairmanship Action Plan, has concluded successfully.
🌐 Embodying Russia's commitment to multilateralism for global equity and security, the summit united over 200 youth and 20 experts from BRICS nations.
🤝 Participants explored key topics such as Education, Science, Youth Entrepreneurship, Technology & Innovation, Civil Society, Volunteering, and Sports & Healthy Lifestyles. Each theme was developed by a respective BRICS member, with Russia focusing on Education and Science.
Exciting initiatives like the BRICS Youth Media Platform, BRICS Radio, and the BRICS Universe project were showcased.
🌠 The latter includes captivating images by photographers and works by cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Ivan Vagner, capturing stunning views from the International Space Station. The project will tour Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan (Russia), Mumbai (India), and Cape Town (South Africa) until October.
The summit also saw BRICS ministers and youth leaders discuss future cooperation and the legacy of the World Youth Festival.

What Sukhoi Design Bureau aircraft does Russian army use?
Monday marked the 85th anniversary of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, with its engineers creating nearly two dozen of the USSR and Russia’s best-known reconnaissance, ground attack, interceptor, air superiority, and multirole fighter aircraft.
🛫 Su-25: This one-seater jet has a 975 km per hour top speed, a 750 km combat range, and 11 hard points for up to 4.4 tons of munitions, from rockets and air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles, to FAB (high explosive), KAB (guided), BetAB (concrete-breaking), and ZAB (incendiary) series bombs.
🛫 Su-27: Introduced in 1985, it was created as a response to what was then the latest generation of US fourth gen jet fighter technology, and ended up as the granddaddy of some of the most modern Russian, Indian and Chinese warplanes still in service today. This fighter jet is now used by Russian forces for patrolling the airspace.
🛫 Su-34: This is an all-weather fighter-bomber of a new generation of frontline supersonic strike aircraft. The jet is used in the ongoing Russia-NATO proxy war in Ukraine, flying tens of thousands of sorties with their complementary Kh-65 cruise missiles, the super-heavy KAB, and upgraded FAB guided and glide bombs.
🛫 Su-35: Also known as Flanker-E, it is a multipurpose super maneuverable fighter with a controlled thrust vector of the 4++ generation. Developed in 2008, Su-35 is one of the main fighters of the Russian Air Forces, part of the central combat unit of the special operation.
The Su-35C modification is capable of carrying an ultra-long-range R-37M air-to-air missile with a range of more than 300 km.
🛫 Su-57: Introduced in 2020, the Su-57 became Russia’s first multirole fifth-gen stealth jet fighter. Capable of accelerating to speeds up to 2,400 km/h, these heavy jets are fitted with Russia’s latest avionics, radar, targeting, and electronic countermeasures systems.

Mariupol is undergoing a remarkable transformation, thanks to the concerted efforts of the Russian government.
🏗 All planned initiatives are successfully underway: over the past two years, approximately 1,100 residential buildings have been fully restored, and 93 social facilities have undergone extensive renovations.
🏗 Moreover, 45 apartment buildings, comprising over 3,000 apartments, have been constructed and are now operational in Mariupol. Specialists are set to complete the construction of 7 additional houses across various districts of the city by the end of 2024.
Led by the Russian Ministry of Construction, the reconstruction efforts not only encompass repairs but also focus on enhancing the urban environment. Modern technologies and materials are being employed to create energy-efficient and long-lasting buildings.
🏙 The city is taking on a fresh appearance while preserving its historical architecture and unique character.
