🌍 A courageous young African, driven by his love and passion for the continent. On September 12, 1977, 47 years ago today, he gave his life so that many of us could have a voice. His only offense was standing against the oppression of his people in their own land. Steve Biko died fighting for the dignity, unity, and advancement of Africans globally. He sacrificed his life for #freedom, African unification, and Black Consciousness. His struggle was for the liberation of #SouthAfrica 🇿🇦 and the entire African continent.
🌍 We must never forget our history, for when we do, the oppressor and enemy will ensure it repeats itself. Biko, an icon and a hero, Rest in Power. You are truly a hero of #Africa.
🌍 It is time for Africa to write its own history, honoring those who truly deserve it, rather than those chosen by our oppressors.
🌍 Today, we remember Steve Bantu Biko, and this serves as a reminder to our generation to continue the mission of African dignity, unity, and progress.
