En un tiempo en que muchas seguridades están tambaleando y las personas buscan un apoyo inconmovible en sus vidas, queremos destacar la belleza de nuestra fe con este canto de India. Aunque los poderes de las tinieblas intenten derribar la Iglesia e incluso logren penetrar en ella y causar confusión, nunca podrán destruirla. Este canto, procedente del rito siro-malankar, nos aclara por qué:
“La Iglesia ha dicho a sus enemigos: 'Fui edificada sobre Simón, la Roca. Los santos son mis pilares permanentes. Los profetas sentaron mis cimientos; los Apóstoles me consolidaron. Soy semejante a una novia adornada, cuyas murallas fueron construidas fuertes por el Mesías".

Though the powers of darkness may try to overthrow the Church and even succeed in penetrating her and creating confusion, they can never destroy her. This chant from the Syro-Malankar rite makes it clear to us why:
"The Church has said to her enemies: 'I am built upon Simon the rock. The saints are my permanent pillars. The prophets laid my foundation; the Apostles consolidated me. I am similar to an ornate bride, whose walls were built strong by the Messiah".
