2020: Tough year for #hongkongers.
2020 ended in tragedy. 2020 marked the beginning of HK authoritarianism. It shows the brutality of tyranny and disregard for the core values of #humanrights, #democracy and #Freedom. But we will stand in solidarity for HK in 2021. Never give up!

Hong Kong Cantopop star Anthony Wong and democrat charged by anti-corruption watchdog over ‘election songs’

Independent Commission Against Corruption (#ICAC) arrested singer Anthony Wong for singing to support former Democratic Law Maker Au Lok Hin at the election in 2018. This bizarre charge shows how dysfunctional ICAC has become since the #CCP take control over #HK.

Every year, pro-Beijing Law Makers are caught bribing & voter fraud on the news. However, the ICAC has never arrested any of the pro-Beijing Law Makers.

DOJ in #HongKong doesn't charge #HKPolice. 2 years ago, a police was caught staging someone with 2 petrol bombs. That police is back to his position without facing any consequences. Police in #HK has no check and balance. We will never know how many innocent people are staged.

The rapid decline of press freedom in #HongKong. Hong Kong ousts Economist journalist Sue-Lin Wong without explanation, in latest blow to press freedom https://hongkongfp.com/2021/11/13/hong-kong-ousts-economist-journalist-sue-lin-wong-without-explanation…
#HK has denied a work visa for a journalist from Economist. It's no surprised that the #HKGov has become more like a Gov't in China. However, driving journalist out of the city also means that they are trying to cast away anything that can keep them in check. Without foreign journalists, it is possible for HK to become the next North Korea. Their next move to transform the city is what's worrisome.

Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) was found by the British colonial government in #HongKong to eliminate police corruptions. Under #CCP, it has now become an organ to control public opinions. They are now warning that public research is a crime.

Simon Peh, commissioner of the ICAC, couldn't explain how Public Opinion Research Institute (PORI) is illegal, but says some questions can breach the law. Their intention can't be more obvious, is to eliminate opinions that is in #CCPChina's way.
